Double-Ups You Should Consider for FPL Between GW24 & GW30

Double ups can create great differentials and loading up on assets from the same team especially with double and blank GWs coming up is a great way to get the best of the easy fixtures. Here are my thoughts on a few of the exciting FPL double-ups to consider in the upcoming game weeks.

FPL Double-ups to consider from GW25 to GW30

Bamford and Raphinha (Combined Overall ownership 1.44%)

Bamford and Raphinha provided one another 3 times last 3 GWs. Leeds have a DGW in 25 making their assets nearly essential during this period. They also don’t blank in 29 and have a great fixture against Fulham then.

Bamford scored 12 goals 8 assists all season making him an essential FPL asset at his price with an ownership of 57%, while Raphinha is only 2.5% owned making him one of the best FPL differentials currently.

Bamford registered 12 shots in the box and 3 big chances created last 4 GWs while Raphinha registered 9 shots in the box and 2 big chances created at the same period. Bamford is also on pens. Their combined ownership in the top 10k is 6%.

Gundogan and Sterling (Combined Overall Ownership 2.68%)

A Man City triple up is now essential that they have 3 DGWs in the next 4 GWs and their current form, they are unstoppable right now. Their assets proved to be fixture proof. Dias and Stones have a ceiling of only six points most of the time with Cancelo and Stones being rotation risks, going with inform cheap Gundogan who registered the most FPL points since GW15 is a no brainer.

Also, the worry of him playing as a CDM should be gone as Rodri was pictured in training, and going with Sterling the player with the most touches in the opposition box per start all season and with his explosivity might be the right decision as Sterling usually gets his rest in easy fixtures and Gundogan is the second most nailed City asset. Top 10k combined ownership is 10.37%

Watkins and Grealish (Combined Overall Ownership 9.56%)

Watkins has 10 goals and 4 assists all season while Grealish scored 6 goals and assisted 12. Villa has amazing fixtures coming up next but more importantly, they have double in 26 and will highly likely have a fixture in BGW29 and will have other DGWs, so having 3 players from Villa became essential.

Watkins has been absolutely dominating the underlying stats having the most shots, xG, big chances since the start of the year amongst forwards. A big reason for that is having Grealish behind him. One of them or Barkley is possibly on pens when Elghazi is not on the field. Top 10k ownership is just 12%

Martinez and Targett (Combined Overall Ownership 4.2%)

Aston Villa have registered 11 clean sheets in the league. Martinez and Targett have 208 FPL points between them. Targett is the second-best Aston Villa defensive asset after Martinez as he has some potential for attacking returns and great at collecting bonus points. Putting Aston Villa fixtures and DGWs into perspective getting both of them with Watkins or Grealish is the right thing to do if you can’t afford to get Watkins and Grealish together. Combined ownership in the top10k is 5.27%.

Son and Kane ( Combined Top 10k Ownership 2.25%)

Kane’s ownership has decreased exponentially because of his latest injury. Now that the English striker is back having the Son and Kane will be very important as Spurs don’t blank in 29 and have an amazing double in 26 even using your TC chip for their DGW fixture is a great idea, they will even have another breathtaking DGW in 27 or 28 if Wolfsberg manages to knock them out of the Europa League.

The Spurs pair provided one another 13 times this season. If you don’t own one of them, will hurt your rank, and owning both right now will be very effective to your rank before they become a template.

Bruno with Rashford or Cavani ~ Bruno and Rashford: 8.31%; Bruno and Cavani ~ 3.19%

Man United scored the most goals in the league this season. The next two fixtures are appealing for them as they are playing West Brom and Newcastle, as we all own Bruno, adding one of Cavani or Rashford along with Bruno might be a great idea short term, but I think there is better options long term especially in DGW26 when Son, Kane, Watkins, and Grealish have better fixtures in the double.

Rashford has registered an xG of 1.37 and an xA of 0.64 last 2 GWs while Cavani is a lethal striker and was rested in the cup game which increases his chance of starting the next two.

Cavani and Fernandes top 10k combined ownership is 1.6%. Fernandes and Rashford top 10k combined ownership is 7.24%
