The Top 3 haulers this week were all managers. That’s how powerful the Assistant Manager chip has
been—those who played it wisely have wreaked havoc in their mini-leagues.
In the EPL (not just FPL), this week might have sealed the title for Liverpool, with a historic win at the Etihad and an Arsenal defeat. Now, it’s theirs to lose, especially with Salah breaking records every week.
Before we know it, yet another GW deadline is upon us—the penultimate midweek deadline of the season. With rotation risks, fatigue, and fixture congestion coming into play, planning is more crucial than ever. Smart transfers and chip strategies can make all the difference in the season’s final stretch.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL GW27 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
PS – I am not mentioning Salah, as he is non-negotiable at this point. I assume he is already in your team.
Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) – MID, West Ham – 5.6% TSB
Bowen is the most transferred-in midfielder this week, and for good reason. Since his return in GW24, he has racked up 22 points across the last three GWs.
His GW27 opponents, Leicester, have been defensively vulnerable, ranking in the Bottom 3 for nearly every key metric:
- Shots Conceded
- Shots in the Box Conceded
- Shots on Target Conceded
- Big Chances Conceded
- NPxGC
- xGC
- xCS
- Goals Conceded
- Clean Sheets
Beyond this week, Bowen’s long-term fixtures also look promising, with only one game rated higher than 3 on the FDR scale.
With the perfect mix of form, fixtures, and underlying numbers, Bowen stands out as one of the best picks for GW27—an essential addition for FPL managers aiming to stay ahead.

Matheus Cunha (£6.9m) – FWD, Wolves – 14.8% TSB

Matheus Cunha is the second most transferred-in player this gameweek, and it’s easy to see why managers are backing the Wolves forward. Let’s break down what makes him such an attractive pick.
Since GW24, among all forwards, Cunha ranks:
- 1st for Key Passes
- 1st for xA
- 1st for Bonus Points
- 2nd for Shots
- 2nd for Shots on Target
- 3rd for Goals
- 3rd for xGI
- 3rd for BPS
- 3rd for FPL Points
His GW26 fixture is particularly appealing, as he faces a Fulham side that has managed just two clean sheets since December—both coming against promoted sides and relegation contenders Southampton and Leicester.
Beyond this week, Cunha’s schedule remains favorable, with only one fixture rated FDR 4 or higher. Most crucially, he does not blank in GW29, making him a valuable asset for managers looking to navigate the blank gameweek without using chips.
If you’re planning ahead, Cunha could be the perfect addition to your squad.

Cole Palmer (£11.1m) – MID, Chelsea – 60.7% TSB
Palmer is the second most transferred-out unflagged midfielder this week. After shedding over 5% of owners and dropping £0.3m in value in recent weeks, could this finally be the gameweek where he makes a statement? The stats still suggest he’s worth holding onto.
Among midfielders, Palmer ranks:
- 1st for Key Passes
- 1st for Big Chances Created
- 1st for xA
- 2nd for Shots on Target
- 2nd for Big Chances
- 2nd for xG
- 2nd for xGI
- 2nd for Goal Involvements
- 2nd for xPts
- 2nd for BPS
- 2nd for Bonus Points
- 2nd for FPL Points
- 3rd for Goals Scored
- 3rd for Shots
His next two opponents rank among the worst in the league across almost every defensive metric.
With elite underlying stats and a favorable fixture run, Palmer still has the potential to deliver. Selling him now could prove to be a mistake.

Justin Kluivert (£6.0m) – MID, Bournemouth – 29.3% TSB
Kluivert is the third most transferred-out unflagged midfielder this week. However, since GW21, he has been among the most consistent performers in FPL. Among midfielders, he ranks:
- 2nd for FPL points
- 2nd for BPS
- 2nd for xG
- 2nd for Goals Scored
- 2nd for Goal Involvements
PS: The only midfielder ahead of Kluivert in these metrics? Salah.
Beyond his form, his long-term fixtures also look promising.
With strong attacking involvement and favorable matchups ahead, selling him now could be premature—he still has plenty of potential to deliver in the coming weeks.

FPL GW27 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Morgan Rogers (£5.6m) – MID, Aston Villa – 23.0% TSB
Morgan Rogers is the most transferred-out player this gameweek, and there are three key reasons behind the mass exodus:
- Poor Form – Rogers has managed just 15 points in his last eight games, offering little in terms of returns.
- Injury Concern – He was substituted with 12 minutes remaining against Chelsea after a tackle from Nkunku left him with an apparent contact injury. While Emery stated that Rogers would “hopefully” be fit to face Crystal Palace, he remains flagged in FPL.
- Tough Fixtures – From now until the end of the season, he has just one fixture rated FDR 2 and a blank in GW29.
With better-performing midfielders available at a similar price—many of whom also play in GW29—now is the time to consider alternatives.

Ola Aina (£5.4m) – DEF, Nott’m Forest – 27.8% TSB
Aina is the most transferred-out defender this gameweek, and for good reason.
After being a reliable asset for FPL managers, Nottingham Forest’s defense has lost momentum, managing just one clean sheet in the last six games. More concerningly, their upcoming fixtures look brutal, making returns even harder to come by.
Now is the ideal time to move Aina out and free up funds for defenders who can actually deliver points in the crucial gameweeks ahead.
