FPL GW36 Scout Picks – Goalkeeper

FPL GW36 Scout Picks - Goalkeeper

Sels takes up the gloves in our GW36 Scout Team. Sels is up against Sheffield United- The worst attacking team in the league. Forest have not kept a clean sheet since GW26 but their underlying numbers have been excellent. Forest have conceded 9 Big Chances since GW28- Lowest among all the teams in the league. For context, Arsenal and Man City have conceded 14 Big Chances during this time. Forest are also Top for xGC in the league since GW28!

Top Teams for xGC/90 since GW28:

  • Forest- 0.95
  • Liverpool- 0.98
  • Arsenal- 1.0
  • Man City- 1.08

FPL GW36 Scout Picks – Defenders

FPL GW36 Scout Picks - Defenders

Ben White is the Highest scoring Defender in the game this season with 168 points courtesy 4 goals, 5 assists and 16 clean sheets this season. Arsenal are arguably the Defensive side in the league and the most attacking defender from their teams makes our team.

Arsenal Defense Rank this season:

  • xGC- 1st
  • Goals Conceded- 1st
  • Big Chances conceded- 1st
  • Clean Sheets- 1st

Tarkowski is the next pick with a good fixture vs Luton Town. Everton have kept 12 clean sheets this season- Only Arsenal(16) have more clean sheets than them. Everton are on a great run with 4 clean sheets from the last 5 matches.

Matchup alert: Luton Town have conceded 40 attempts from set pieces this season- Highest among all the teams in the league this season. Everton are really good at attacking from set pieces and all of them are targeted towards Tarkowski!

Walker rounds up the defense with a home fixture vs Wolves. Manchester City are on the title charge and Walker is one of the nailed Defender picks from Man City.

FPL GW36 Scout Picks – Midfielders

FPL GW36 Scout Picks - Midfielders

Cole Palmer is the Top Midfield pick for yet another week and is a no-brainer at this point. He did disappoint his owners with just a 8 point haul in DGW35. He could have easily had another double digit haul with an xGI of 1.75 across both the games. In fact, Palmer has the Most Digit hauls in the league this season.

Players with Most Double Digit Hauls this season:

  • Palmer- 10
  • Odegaard- 8
  • Saka- 8
  • Salah- 8
  • Son- 8

West Ham have been struggling in general with one win from the last 8 league matches. Their defensive form has been poor as they have conceded 15 goals from the last 6 matches averaging 2.5 goals concede/game.

West Ham Defensive woes(Defense Rank since GW30):

  • xGC- 20th
  • Big Chances conceded- 20th
  • Shots Conceded- 17th
  • Goals Conceded- 18th

The Arsenal midfield duo of Saka and Havertz are up against Bournemouth. Arsenal attack have been in brilliant form having scored 48 goals from the last 15 matches in the league. Havertz has 8 goals, 6 assists from the last 11 games averaging more than 9 points/game. Arsenal are still in the title race, would look to score goals, do their job in hand and hope City drop points.

De Bruyne has sparkled back to form with 3 goals and 3 assists and 40 FPL points from the last 4 matches. He is top for Big Chances created(7) and Joint Top for Goal Involvements(6) over the last 4 games. With a confirmed Double Gameweek in GW37, an entry point vs Wolves in GW36 looks tempting. Just a gentle reminder that few years back when KDB played Wolves in GW36, this happened when he scored 4 goals.

Gibbs White has been one of the chief creators in the league with only KDB and Bruno creating more Big Chances among Midfielders since GW29. He is ranked 4th for Expected assists among MIDs during this time only behind KDB, Bruno and Odegaard. He is in some elite company for chance creation.

Most Big Chances Created among Midfielders since GW29:

  • De Bryune- 8
  • Bruno Fernandes- 7
  • Gibbs White- 5
  • Barnes- 5

Fun Fact: When Forest were fighting relegation last season, Gibbs White was the key player who helped them stay in Premier League. Gibbs White had 8 Goal Involvements(3 goals, 5 assists) and 46 FPL Points from the last 7 games of the last season. Only Salah(9 Goal Involvements and 59 FPL Points) had a better record among Midfielders during this time. End season Gibbs White is something else. Gibbs White is discussed in detail in our FPL GW36 Differentials article.

Haaland is back in the reckoning with a sub-appearance vs Forest and a fantastic goal. He takes the arm band in our GW36 Scout team.

Isak rounds up the GW36 Scout team who has been in sensational form since GW27. Isak has the most FPL Points among Forwards since GW27 with 9 goals, 1 assist from 8 matches. He is also Top for xG(7.06) and 2nd Highest for Big Chances(11) during this time.

Up against a Burnley side who have not kept a clean sheet since GW19, Isak should fancy his chances to get on the scoresheet once again.
