FPL GW25 Free Hit Guide

FPL GW25 Fixtures – Teams that double only

The template of a GW25 Free Hit is likely to be Triple City Attack(Haaland+Foden+KDB)+Double Liverpool attack(Jota+ Salah/Darwin), VVD/TAA/Bradley(Based on injury news and team value) + Toney + Doughty + Barkley/Brentford mid + Kaminski/Flekken. Other options are likely to be Adebayo/Morris.

Pros of GW25 Free Hit:

• Liverpool double in GW25 and blank in GW26. So using Free Hit can help to attack with Triple Liverpool for GW25 and can prepare for the GW26 with your original team. This strategy is good for managers with no Liverpool assets and one/zero City assets going into DGW25.

Cons of GW25 Free Hit:

• Man City double in GW25, Dont’t blank in GW26, and are in good form. So you can get Man City assets even with multiple hits that should pay off in the longer run
• Good single Gameweek fixtures for Template/High EO players. These Single Gameweek assets who would be there in your non-Free Hit team and you are likely to miss out on their hauls.
  • Saka/Arsenal DEFs vs Burnley
  • Gross/Estupinan vs Sheffield United
  • Richarlison vs Wolves
  • Watkins vs Fulham
  • Trippier vs Bournemouth
• Relying on Luton/Brentford Defenders who have Tough DGW fixtures to get your points whereas there are good chances Gabriel/Saliba/Porro/Raya/Estupinan can outscore them even with a single fixture.
• There is not a big need to Free Hit in GW25 unless your team is in shambles(without Liverpool/City assets at all). If you can get to Haaland+ Another City attacker + 2 Liverpool Assets(DEF/Jota/Nunez) you can easily manage DGW25 without Free Hit.

Other windows to Play Free Hit:

• GW26- Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Luton blank
• GW29- As it stands only 6 teams are confirmed to have a fixture- Brentford, Burnley, Spurs, Fulham, Villa, West Ham
• GW34- Mini Blank GW and Mini DGW due to FA Cup
• GW37- Biggest Double Gameweek of the season

Using Free Hit in GW25 is totally team dependent. But it looks better off to save Free Hit for later unless your team desperately needs it. Also Triple Captain in GW25 on Haaland looks to be a better option than using Free Hit.

FPL GW25 Free Hit Drafts

• KDB has picked up 2 goals and 6 assists in all competitions since his return from injury and has not blanked yet. He was benched vs Everton and is likely to start both the games in the double.
• Haaland doesn’t need any justification and was back amongst the goals registering a brace vs Everton
• Toney and Darwin have registered 6 big chances the joint most amongst all players since Toney made his return from suspension(GW21)

• Sergio Regullion fixtures aren’t great for the double but he offers a decent attacking threat and is a good differential option to consider especially if you’re free-hitting ahead of DGW25
• Phil Foden has scored or assisted 13 goals in his last 12 games for Man City in all competitions and is the 3rd Man City attacker in this draft.
• Barkley has 4 returns in his last 5 premier league games, and has the highest xA/90 and 2nd highest Key passes/90 of any Luton player (to have played more than 900 minutes), demonstrating how integral he is to Luton’s attack. At only £5 million and less than 2% ownership, he could be a good differential option
• Van Dijk is mentioned in this drafts, but it can be TAA/Robertson/Bradley too based on the latest news and Klopp press conference

FPL GW25 Free Hit Draft 2

• Slightly risky, Differential Draft with Salah in it who is a minutes risk coming back from injury. Wait for Press Conference updates before going for it.
• Mo Salah is back and it looks like he might come off the bench in the first game of the double and play from the start in the 2nd game potentially which makes things interesting. Liverpool blank in GW26 and will potentially blank in GW29 too. The free hit will enable you to punt on him without making too many changes to your main team.

• Gvardiol is out for a few weeks and Ake’s stocks have gone up for DGW25, he could be a worthy option to consider!

• Differential draft with triple Man City attack, Adebayo plus Luis Diaz and double Liverpool attack
