Current Strategy
I have my LIMITLESS chip ACTIVE for Matchday 2. My strategy is to attack top teams having good fixtures in MD2. Then I plan to use the Wildcard in MD3 and navigate MD5 and MD6 with regular transfers.
The fixtures I am targeting for my MD2 team
Day 1 – Sporting CP vs Tottenham
Plzeň vs Inter
Liverpool vs Ajax
Day 2 – Milan vs Dinamo Zagreb
Rangers vs Napoli
Real Madrid vs Leipzig
*Chelsea vs Salzburg
Man City vs Dortmund
M. Haifa vs Paris
*Though the fixture is good for Chelsea. I am unsure about Chelsea’s potential, especially with a new manager coming in.

My Current Team
I am playing a 3-4-3 right now with so many attacking options available on a Limitless chip with unlimited money.
Defence
- Goalkeepers are quite a differential bunch. Onana is my Day 1 keeper from Inter, having a great fixture. For Day 2, I have Maignan playing for AC Milan against Dinamo Zagreb.
- I am going for defenders who all have great fixtures. It allows me to target clean sheet potential, to begin with.
- All defenders are attacking fullbacks too, and all of them have a huge attacking upside.
- Right now, I have three defenders in my playing XI. They are Perisic, Dumfries, and Cancelo.
- Cancelo is pretty much nailed in the Man City team and should start.
- Getting the lineups for Tottenham and Inter before the deadline should help finalise Dumfries and Perisic.
- Replacement, if required, is Mendes from PSG, as I have one PSG spot open. I can even go for James from Chelsea, as he is pretty attacking.
- It will be tricky if all Day 1 players in my team do well, as Hernandez and Hakimi are on the bench right now. It is not ideal, but I am willing to take the risk.

Midfield
- It’s a premium heavy midfield with a playing four of KDB, Salah, Son, and Vinicius Junior.
- KDB, with the extended rest, should start against Dortmund. He is the creative engine for Man City and has massive potential against Dortmund.
- Vinicius has 3G+1A in 4 games; with Benzema, a doubt for this game, Junior’s fantasy potential looks even better than before.
- Zielinski is my differential pick in this draft. He is in decent form scoring 18 points in MD1 against Liverpool. He is facing Rangers this week and can come from the bench if required.
- I am not 100% sold on Salah and Son. Both haven’t exactly hit the ground running for their teams in the Premier League.
- Other options include Mane/Sane from Bayern, but the game is against Barcelona so it will be tough.
- Diaz is another significant differential that not many fantasy managers will eye. He has been the best attacker for Liverpool. Still, a start could be tricky with Nunez and Jota also available in attack. I still expect him to start and be a dangerous option against Ajax at home.

Forwards
- We have a premium front three of Haaland, Mbappe, and Lewandowski.
- All three are solid options. I still contemplate the Lewandowski pick as he faces his former club Bayern in Germany. It could be a great pick, but Neymar has a much easier fixture.
- It’s between Lewandowski and Neymar for the third striker spot. The rest looks pretty good!
- I want to target Martinez from Inter because of the easy fixture, but it’s a huge risk with PSG and Man City having a good fixture and Lewandowski showing such great form.
I am pretty confident with most of my team. There are still 1-2 names that might change before the deadline, but the core looks pretty solid for MD2.
Captaincy options for my UCL Fantasy MD2 Team
Captaincy for Day 1 of MD2 looks quite tricky. There are options like Salah and Son, who aren’t the most in-form players but have decent fixtures. If I have to choose between the two, I lean more towards Salah. If I get one of Sane/Mane, I might captain them instead.
If not, then Dumfries could be an excellent differential option. He is looking good for a clean sheet and surely has attacking potential to get a big haul this week. I am personally not very tempted with Lewandowksi, and for that reason, I might get Neymar instead.
It’s a lot more straightforward for Day 2. There are two standout picks. Mbappe looks to be the favourite choice for fantasy managers, and he is also my pick for the second day. The other option is going for Haaland against his former club Dortmund. Both are good options and have excellent fantasy potential for MD2.
That will be all from my side! Let me know if you are playing the Limitless chip in Matchday 2. Also, who is your favourite captaincy option for this week?
All the best for Matchday 2, and I will see you all very soon!
