Top Transfer Ins and Outs Ahead of FPL GW2
These are the top five transfer Ins and Outs ahead of GW2. Without a doubt, Haaland is up there with 761k transfer-ins already, and his counterpart, Kane with the most transfer-outs at 608k managers removing him.
A lot of managers also brought in Martinelli, Kulusevski, and Mitrovic. Zinchenko also has a lot of transfer-ins, however with Tierney back in contention, he could face slight rotation and block you from getting an Arsenal attacker.

Best Transfer Combinations for FPL GW2
Transfer Combination 1:
Harry Kane (11.4m) to Erling Haaland (11.6m)
The Spurs forward blanking and Haaland scoring a brace paves the way to the first most popular transfer combination among the FPL managers. The difference between the two strikers to begin the season was very minute.
With Man City going on to face Bournemouth at home in GW2 makes it easier for managers to make the switch. A lot of managers made the switch immediately after watching Haaland’s performance. As a matter of fact, Kane even fell in price by 0.1m causing Haaland’s price to rise.
Player Heatmap Comparison:
From the GW1 Heatmap, we can clearly see that Haaland spent much more time in the opposition’s box than Kane. Kane was more in the playmaking areas, in the middle of the pitch. Haaland recorded an xG of 1.83 against Kane’s 0.32. The table below shows the per 90 stats for both of them in GW1 (as Haaland was subbed at the 77-minute mark).
Kane | Haaland | |
Expected Goals | 0.12 | 2.01 |
Shots | 2.00 | 5.77 |
Shots on Target | 2.00 | 2.31 |
Shots in Box | 1.00 | 5.77 |
Although the sample is of just one week, the difference in their underlying statistics was evident. Especially with that Bournemouth fixture at home for Haaland, he is arguably the best player to captain in GW2.
Transfer Combination 2
Mount (8.0m) to Saka (8.0m)
The second best transfer combination ahead of GW2 is the switch between the two 8.0m midfielders. He is removed by 71k managers already, with Saka having around 60k transfer in and Martinelli with a whopping 276k trasnfer in!
Mason Mount didn’t look very sharp against Everton. He had only 2 shots in the match and was substituted at the 65-minute mark. Mount didn’t create any big chance and also wasn’t on set pieces.
As there are a lot of better options in the game right now, with better fixtures, the switch to Saka or even Martinelli could benefit FPL managers.
Considering all this, Saka also spent more time closer to the opposition’s box and had more lucrative runs. Also, Arsenal as a team look on a different level right now, they had a great pre-season, and the momentum seems to be continuing in the season.
Moreover, Chelsea face Spurs in GW2. However, Arsenal have a great run of fixtures ahead. they face Bournemouth, Fulham, and Villa after Leicester. Even Leicester looks leaky at the back and could easily concede against Arsenal.
Therefore, the switch from Mount to Saka seems like one of the best transfer combinations ahead of GW2.

Transfer Combination 3
Kane (11.4m) to Darwin Nunez (9.0m)
The third most common transfer combination as of now is the swap to Liverpool’s striker, Darwin Nunez. Although he didn’t start the game against Fulham, in just 39 minutes he scored and assisted one goal. In fact, Liverpool as a team looked better as soon as he was subbed in.
Moreover, Nunez has already been transferred in by around 217k FPL managers ahead of GW2.
In just one half, Nunez took 4 shots from inside the box and spent most of the time there only. There are many positive signs as soon as he came on. I think, after that performance, he should be starting games as he seemed crucial for that Liverpool team.
Liverpool also has a favorable fixture next week against Crystal Palace at Anfield. Moreover, they face Bournemouth and Newcastle till GW5.
Conclusion- FPL GW2 Tips
- Haaland seems to be the best player to transfer in and captain ahead of FPL GW2.
- Don’t rush to trasnfer out Gabriel Jesus, he and Arsenal in general looked sharp, and he could come good in future Gameweeks.
- There are a lot of replacements for Mount like Saka or Matinelli. If you don’t have any other priorities, you could make that switch.
- The switch from Perisic to Zinchenko could pose rotation risk, as Tierny is back from injury.
- Give Diaz a bit more time, Liverpool go on to face Palace in GW2.
