With just one fixture left in this gameweek, it’s safe to say GW25 has been nothing short of unpredictable. In the 10 matches played so far, we’ve seen 15 instances of double-digit returns, yet—aside from Luis Díaz—not a single player or manager involved is owned by more than 10% of FPL managers.

The Assistant Manager chip, in particular, has been a wild ride. Marco Silva has delivered 36 points across the last two gameweeks, while Hürzeler has managed 21 points in just one. Meanwhile, many managers who switched from Moyes to Emery for Aston Villa’s double gameweek have been left frustrated—so far, Moyes has outscored Emery, leaving Villa’s supporters hoping for a miracle against Liverpool. Given how unpredictable the Assistant Manager chip has been, it truly feels like a lottery at this point. So I won’t be surprised to see an upset at Villa Park on Wednesday.

Wissa is currently the second most transferred-out unflagged forward this week, yet a closer look at his underlying numbers suggests that this could be a hasty decision.

Since GW21, he has managed only 14 points, which may seem underwhelming. However, his expected goal involvement (xGI) during this period ranks second among all forwards, highlighting his continued attacking threat. His recent misfortunes include being denied by the offside flag twice against West Ham, further emphasizing how close he has been to delivering significant returns.

With Leicester up next—one of the worst teams defensively across all key metrics—Wissa has a strong chance to capitalize and turn his performances into FPL points. Selling him now could prove costly.

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) – MID, Brentford – 35.5% TSB

Morgan Rogers (£5.7m) – MID, Aston Villa – 29.2% TSB

Among midfielders, Morgan Rogers is in Top 3 in terms of transfers out this gameweek.           In the last 6 games, Rogers has scored 11 points – a run where he faced teams like Leicester, Everton, West Ham, Wolves and Ipswich. Now his schedule becomes tougher along with a blank in GW29.

It is high time to look at similar priced midifielders who are generating higher returns and most importantly don’t blank in GW29. Players like Ouattara, Schade, Minteh, Christie and Nwaneri should be your ideal replacements.

Amad Diallo (£5.5m) – MID, Man Utd – 16.4% TSB

Amad Diallo is the most transferred out player this week and there’s reason why. Amad’s promising return to Manchester United’s first team has been cut short after he suffered a season-ending ankle injury. The young winger had shown glimpses of his potential, but with this unfortunate setback ruling him out for the rest of the campaign, keeping him in your FPL squad is now a wasted spot. With no chance of accumulating points, Diallo’s ownership will likely drop sharply, making him a must-sell for managers looking to optimize their squads.

Holding on to injured players is rarely a smart FPL strategy, especially when there are numerous budget-friendly alternatives available. Instead of letting Diallo sit idly in your squad, consider reinvesting in wingers who are guaranteed game time. Options like Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest) or even a differential pick from mid-table teams could offer far better returns. Don’t let sentimentality dictate your decisions—move Diallo out and free up funds for players who can actually deliver points in the coming Gameweeks.
