FPL Gameweek 30 Transfer Tips: Two Players to Buy, Hold & Sell

GW29 saw a new record!

The Free Hit chip was played by 15.8% of FPL managers in Gameweek 29

And this is how it went for the popular picks: –

  • Reguilon -3
  • Toney 1
  • Flekken 2
  • Wissa 2
  • Kaminski 2
  • Kaboré 1
  • Barkley 2
  • Doughty 1
  • Morris 2
  • Elanga 2
  • Vicario 2
  • Porro 1
  • Romero 1
  • Udogie 1
  • Maddison 2
  • Kulusevski 2
  • Son 2
  • Watkins 2
  • Luiz 1
  • Bailey 2
  • Cash 1
  • Areola 3
  • Bowen 2
  • Ward-Prowse 1
  • Kudus 1

In fact, Areola and Leno are the only two players who have scored more than 2 points and owned by more than 15% managers.

We now face the last international break of the season. Before GW30, we will get to know DGW34 fixtures (and in a way DGW37 fixtures). A lot of planning to do.

So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 30 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) – MID, Liverpool – 22.4% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Salah

Ever since GW20, after which he left for AFCON, Salah has never quite made it back to our teams, has he? But now is the time to bring the Egyptian Pharaoh back.

Salah demolished Sparta Prague with 3 assists and 1 goal in the UCL. He then scored against Man Utd in the FA Cup as well. Remember he will not be involved in any international friendly during the break. So he will be fresh to take on Brighton at home in GW30.

Salah returned 15 points against Brighton in the reverse fixture and I won’t bet my money against a repeat.

Even beyond GW30, Salah Liverpool has extremely good fixtures including a double in Gameweek 34 against Fulham(A), Everton(A)

Buy Salah on priority.

Rodrigo Muniz (£4.6m) – FWD, Fulham – 3.7% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Muniz

Since GW23, among FWDs, Muniz ranks

  • 1st for Goals Scored
  • 1st for Shots in the Box
  • 1st for BPS
  • 1st for Bonus
  • 2nd for FPL points
  • 2nd for Goal Involvements
  • 2nd for Shots
  • 3rd for Shots on Target
  • 3rd for Big Chances
  • 4th for xG
  • 4th for xGI

During that time, he has played 3 of the Top 6 and 5 of the Top 10 teams in the table.

In GW30, he faces SHU. SHU defence is ranked:-

  • 20th for Clean Sheets
  • 20th for Goals Conceded
  • 20th for Shots Conceded
  • 20th for Shots on Target Conceded
  • 19th for Big Chances Conceded
  • 19th for NPxGC
  • 19th for xCS
  • 19th for xG Conceded
  • 19th for Shots in Box Conceded

Even beyond GW30, Muniz faces Nottingham Forest in GW31. At just £4.6m, Muniz will also be an excellent enabler for big guns like Salah, Son, Saka, Foden, Haaland, and Watkins.

Buy Muniz to get the advantage over your mini-league rivals.

Note: Fulham will not double in GW34 but Muniz is still a great option especially if you’re planning to wildcard in GW31 or free-hitting in GW34.

FPL Gameweek 30 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD

Son Heung-min (£10.1m) – MID, Spurs – 32.8% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Heung Min Son

Among MIDs, Son is ranked:

  • 2nd for FPL Points
  • 2nd for Goals
  • 2nd for Big Chances Created
  • 3rd for Goal Involvements
  • 4th for Shots on Target

He faces Luton in GW30, a team that is ranked:

  • 20th for Shots Conceded
  • 20th for Shots in the Box Conceded
  • 20th for Shots from Set Pieces Conceded
  • 20th for Big Chances Conceded
  • 20th for NPxGC
  • 20th for xGC
  • 20th for xCS
  • 19th for Shots on Target Conceded
  • 19th for Clean Sheets
  • 18th for Goals Conceded

Don’t be misled by Son’s blank in GW29. HOLD him.

Note: Spurs will blank in GW34 but Son is still a great hold this week against Luton Town especially if you’re planning to wildcard in GW31 or free-hitting in GW34.

Ollie Watkins (£9.0m) – FWD, Aston Villa – 56.2% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Ollie Watkins

Watkins plays Wolves at home in GW30.

In home games, among FWDs, Watkins is ranked:

  • 1st for FPL Points
  • 1st for Goal Involvements
  • 1st for Assists
  • 1st for xGI
  • 2nd for Shots on Target
  • 2nd for Shots in the Box
  • 2nd for Goals Scored
  • 2nd for Key Passes
  • 2nd for xG
  • 3rd for xA
  • 3rd for Shots
  • 3rd for BPS

In the reverse fixture, Watkins did return. He scored 5 points courtesy an assist.

Although Watkins has blanked in two successive gameweeks, I suggest you HOLD him and give him one last chance before you sell him as he faces City and Arsenal away between GW31-33. It is advisable to use your FT in others transfers this week.

FPL Gameweek 30 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL

Pedro Neto (£5.7m) – MID, Wolves – 3.8% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Pedro Neto

Pedro Neto may be sidelined until the conclusion of the season due to a recent injury, as confirmed by Wolves manager O’Neil.

“Pedro could potentially be out for the remainder of the season. It mirrors closely the injury he previously suffered on the opposite side,” he remarked.

Hence, he is a SELL.

Carlton Morris (£5.2m) – FWD, Luton – 11.6% TSB

FPL Gameweek 30- Carlton Morris

Morris has returned 4 blanks in 5 games.

He now faces a nightmarish fixture run when he faces Spurs, Arsenal and Man City – all away from home.

Post that the fixtures ease out remarkably well. So, it is recommended that you sell Morris this GW and bring him back in GW34.
