Cons of FPL GW18 Free Hit:
- Injuries to Haaland and Mbeumo. If they were fit GW18 Free Hit would have been a great option as you can remove them only for this week.
- Free Hit can be valuable later in the season for upcoming Double Gameweeks/Blank Gameweeks.
- You can easily make a strong team even without Free Hitting. The players you need in Free Hit like Watkins, Villa defense, Trippier, Son, Palmer, Gordon are not just good picks for this week but good picks in the longer run as well. So you can get them in using hits instead of Free hitting which will work out in the longer run.
We wouldn’t recommend using Free Hit in GW18 even though City and Brentford blank due to the reasons listed above. But if your team has Triple City, One or Two Brentford players and have multiple injuries/players close to returning from injuries, Here is a FPL GW18 Free Hit draft along with Players to target.

- Pau Torres is an slight injury doubt. If he is ruled out Konsa can come in. Moreno/Cash/Digne carry more attacking threat but have rotation risk.
- Kulusevski is mentioned in this draft. You can get Richarlison over him as Richarlison is in good form and playing as striker.
- Callum Wilson can be an excellent differential to punt on if we get more news about Isak injury.
