FPL GW15 Scout Picks
FPL GW15 Scout Picks – Goalkeeper
With Nick Pope ruled out for 4-5 months due to shoulder injury, Dubravka is the first choice keeper for Newcastle at the moment. Newcastle are an elite defense this season- Least Big Chances Conceded(13), 3rd least xGC(14.89) and 2nd least Goals Conceded(14). 3.9 million starting Goal Keeper for one of the best defenses in the league is too difficult to ignore. It is usually not advisable to use a Free transfer for GKs, but with the current overall GK situation(very bad) and 3.9 GK available from the Top 2 defense in the league- Dubravka is certainly worth using the Free transfer for any of your GKs.
Their fixture run also looks good for the upcoming games.
Read more about Dubravka in our FPL GW15 Differentials article.
FPL GW15 Scout Picks – Defenders
Trippier(vs Everton) is the Top Pick among Defenders ahead of Gameweek 15. He did put in a brilliant performance in GW14 vs Manchester United getting in the Typical Trippier haul- Clean sheet, Assist and 3 bonus to fetch 12 points. He also topped the xGI chart among defenders for yet among week as seen below.
Trippier is in fact Top for Chances created in the entire league with 41 chances created including 10 Big Chances created. He also leads the xA chart in the league with 4.87. Up against a Everton side who have scored only 15 goals(Joint 4th lowest), don’t be surprised if there is another double digit haul for Trippier.
Tsimikas has been a live wire ever since Robertson’s injury in GW9. He has very good attacking potential and is in on set pieces as well.
Tsimikas attacking stats(Rank among defenders) since Robertson injury from GW9:
- Matches- 6
- Chances created- 11(3rd)
- Successful crosses- 12(2nd)
- Assists- 3(Joint 1st)
- Bonus Points System Score- 138(3rd)

Tsimikas has blanked only twice in the last 6 games. Sheffield United who lost 5-0 to Burnley in GW14 have scored the least goals(11) and have the least xG(11.11) in the entire league. Another easy return is on the cards for Tsimikas who should likely start this game despite the rotation concerns in the packed schedule.
Gabriel is the final pick among defenders in our FPL GW15 Scout Selection. Arsenal have been solid at the back this season keeping 6 clean sheets in the league which is the joint highest among all teams.
Matchup alert: Luton Town have conceded 34 goal attempts from set plays over the last 6 games which is the Highest among all the teams in the league. Gabriel who is generally good on attacking set pieces would love this matchup.

FPL GW15 Scout Picks – Midfielders
Salah is the Top midfield pick for yet another week up against Sheffield United. Salah has blanked only twice in 14 games this season. He is also a good Captaincy shout for this week. Salah has scored 10 goals, 6 assists and leads the overall FPL Points tally with 111 points. Salah tops the xG and Big Chances stats among midfielders and his assist potential is also highlighted as he is Top for Big chances created(13) in the entire league.
Sheffield United- Poor Defense and Matchups
- Sheffield United have conceded 39 goals from 14 games this season conceding close to 3 goals/game. They also rank 20th for defensive underlying numbers- xGC and Big Chances Conceded.
- Sheffield United have conceded 23 chances down their left flank from the last 6 games which is the 3rd highest among all the teams. Salah plays exactly there and is very likely to return this week as well.
Next up is the Spurs duo of Son and Kulusevski vs West Ham at home. In what was supposed to be a tough game for Spurs in GW14 vs Man City, Son(Goal+ Assist, 10 points) and Kulusevski(Goal + Assist, 12 points) got Double digit hauls. They are up against a West Ham side who have struggled defensively on the road.
West Ham Away Defense Rank:
- Big Chances Conceded- 17th
- Shots conceded- 16th
- Goals Conceded/90- 15th
- Clean Sheets- Joint 20th(Zero clean sheets)

Key Matchup:
Chances conceded down the center this season:
West Ham | 60 |
Sheffield United | 59 |
Burnley | 56 |
Luton Town | 56 |
Son has started playing as striker ever since GW4 and he hasn’t looked back scoring 9 goals from 11 games. Only Haaland(11) has scored more goals during this time. Kulusevski has started playing behind the striker in the last 2 games, more like a No.10 which has increased his goal involvement potential. West Ham have also conceded 60 chances down the center this season which is the highest among all teams. This matchup favors both these players as they could be in for another haul this week.
Mbeumo has 6 goals, 4 assists from 14 games this season. Even though penalties has played a role in these returns, his underlying numbers are still good. Mbeumo is only behind Salah for Non-Penalty Expected Goal Involvement among midfielders this season as seen below.
Mbeumo will be up against Brighton in GW15 who have not kept a clean sheet this season and have conceded 26 goals which is the 4th worst in the league. Only Bournemouth(30), Burnley(32) and Sheffield United(39) have conceded more goals this season.
Saka wraps up the midfield in the GW14 Scout Picks. Saka has blanked only twice out of 13 games(5 goals, 7 assists) he has played this season. Saka is 2nd for Expected assists this season- Only behind Trippier. Arsenal have a favorable fixture in GW15 against Luton Town(A).
Luton Town have conceded 50 Big chances from 14 games this season– Ranking on Top for Big Chances conceded in the league. Arsenal are given 52% chances of scoring more than 2 goals in GW15 according to DraftHound model– 2nd highest among all teams for GW15.

FPL GW15 Scout Picks – Forwards
Haaland has 14 goals, and 5 assists from 14 games this season and comfortably tops all the underlying data like xG, Big Chances, and Shots inside the box. Haaland got 2 assists in GW14 vs Spurs and could have easily had more. His presence in the scout picks needs no further justification.
He is our captain choice as the moment for out FPL GW15 Scout Selection. It is a close call between Haaland and Son. Watch out for our Captaincy Metrics(which should be up soon) before locking in your captain.
Cunha completes our Scout squad for FPL GW15. Cunha who has returned in all of the last 3 games is a good budget pick and is up against Burnley in GW15. Burnley are ranked 3rd highest for Chances conceded down the center(56) this season and Cunha would love this match up. Cunha is discussed in detail in our Differentials article.
