FPL GW33 Scout Picks
FPL GW33 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
Pope is our goalkeeper this week in our scout picks, the last goalkeeper to play Everton recorded a 10-pointer (Johnstone in GW32) with Everton taking shots on goal from low xG chances resulting in 5 comfortable saves for Johnstone. Pope is also the highest-scoring goalkeeper this season with 134 points and has good odds of a clean sheet as well this week(45% via Drafthound)

FPL GW33 Scout Picks- Defenders
Trent picked up an assist vs Forest in GW32 continuing a run of three games in which he’s got at least an assist. He is certainly showing signs of him back to his attacking best. Since GW23 no player has created more big chances than TAA(10) and his xA during the period(4.53) is 3rd amongst all players during the period. TAA and Liverpool are playing a West Ham side who have already played two games in the space of four days, their game vs Liverpool will be their third game in 6 days!
Since the WC break, West Ham have conceded 182 crosses from the left flank(6th worst in the league), this is were TAA operates. The number of crosses conceded from their left flank is 22 more than what they have conceded from the right flank(160). Another TAA assist from a cross this week?
Trippier has the highest odds of a clean sheet(45% via Drafthound) this week and will also have a great chance to get an attacking return as well with Everton known to concede heavily through both their flanks.
Alex Moreno wraps up the scout picks and is the third fullback in this week’s scout picks, he’s playing at home and has a good attacking threat as well to go with a decent clean sheet potential (38% odds of clean sheet via Drafthound). Since GW27, Moreno has made 12 key passes which is the joint 3rd highest amongst defenders(Tied with TAA and Porro).

FPL GW33 Scout Picks- Midfielders
- Jack Grealish is another safe option to consider from Man City’s midfield, One of the most important stat in favor of Grealish is that he has started each of the last 12 league games.(More on Grealish in our Man City Preview blog)
Grealish stats since GW17
- xA: 4.85( 8th best in the league amongst midfielders)
- BCC: ( joint 4th best amongst midfielders)
- Assists: 8(Highest amongst midfielders)
- xGI: 8.3( 8th best among midfielders)
- Salah has been back on the points consistently now and he’s surely an essential on a FPL GW33 wildcard, over the last 10 games he has an xGI of 9.7 which is the 2nd best in the league only bettered by Watkins. He’s also been creating chances regularly for his teammates which can be seen in his xA(3.3, 5 big chances created). He also loves playing West Ham having scored 9 goals and registered 3 assists in 11 PL games against the Hammers.
- Mitoma will be up against a struggling Forest side and both Brighton and Mitoma will look to bounce back from the FA Cup disappointment. Even though Forest are a decent side at home, Brighton should have enough in their attack to score a few goals. In the last six away games, Brighton have the highest NPxG in the league(12.38) and 2nd most big chances(21)!
- Marcus Rashford does not require a lot of explanation he’s been in great form all season and will be up against a Spurs side that conceded 6 goals vs Newcastle on Sunday. Bruno is also rumored to be out for the game after suffering an ankle injury in the FA Cup semi-finals vs Brighton. If he’s out then Rashford will be on penalties as well.

FPL GW33 Scout Picks- Forwards
- Isak and Watkins are the two of the most in-form strikers alongside Haaland and Kane. Isak since GW27 has scored more goals(7) than any other player in the league with Watkins and Kane second with 6 goals. During the same period, no team has had more big chances, goals, and xG than Newcastle in the league.
- Watkins blanked in GW32 away to Brentford but he still has strong numbers as Villa’s talisman and will be playing at home against Fulham. Over the last 7 games, Watkins has had 10 of the 19 big chances Aston Villa have created which is more than 50% of the total team’s big chances. Meanwhile, in the last four away games, Fulham (vs Brighton, Bournemouth, Everton, and Brentford) have conceded a whopping 18 big chances which is the worst in the league during the period.
- Haaland doesn’t need any justification but he certainly also has a phenomenal matchup against Arsenal’s defence without Saliba. In the last 12 games(Since GW23), Arsenal have conceded, 29 big chances(3rd worst in the league), and 17 goals from an xGC of 18.01 with only two clean sheets. Interestingly during the period, 58% of their chances conceded(2nd worst in the league during the period) have been from the middle which is where Haaland operates.
