FPL GW32 Scout Picks
FPL GW32 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
In the last eight games, Aston Villa defence have kept 6 clean sheets and Martinez has registered a whopping 55 points. The World Cup winner has also made 25 saves(5th highest amongst GKs during the period). His 10 bonus points during the period is the highest amongst GKs and five more than the next best(Jose Sa with 5 bonus points). He has a good clean sheet potential and also offers save points plus the chance of bonus points too.

FPL GW32 Scout Picks- Defenders
Klopp using Trent in an inverted full-back role is certainly a good sign from an FPL perspective, TAA is now given the license to be higher up the pitch when in possession. This can be seen in his heatmap against Leeds below(Number 66 is TAA). He got two assists in the 6-1 win over Leeds, and with the tactics working out, Klopp should continue to use him the same way. Over the last nine games, TAA is also highest amongst defenders for xA(3.64), Big chances created(8) and assists(4). The new tactics also seem to favor TAA more than Robbo as well and if you’re free hitting TAA is an essential pick.
TAA’s matchup vs Forest: Nottingham Forest have conceded the most chances(70) and 4th most crosses(173) from their left side in away games this season and this is where TAA operates. Trent also has a knack of hauling big at Anfield and he could have one more big haul like old times against Forest this week!
Forest have also scored only five away goals in 15 away games this season from an xG of only 11.72 which is again the lowest in the league.
Newcastle might have kept only one clean sheet in the last 10 games, but have not conceded heavily during the period. They have conceded only 13 goals from an xGC of 12.9. Their xGC is the 3rd lowest during the period.
Spurs defence also conceded more chances and crosses through their left flank than their right flank. Over the last six games, Spurs have conceded 63 crosses and 17 chances through their left flank whereas they have conceded only 37 crosses and 7 chances through their right flank. Trippier operates through the left flank and should have a great matchup. Over the last six games, no player had more successful crosses than Trippier(16) and Newcastle are also joint-highest for most headed goals(4) during the period.
The third and last defender in the scout picks this week is Gabriel, you might ask why him after he conceded a penalty vs West Ham and is also part of a back four that has been conceding goals frequently now. Gabriel and Arsenal face Southampton at home and will be looking to register a huge win to boost their confidence ahead of facing Man City next week.
Arsenal have the highest odds of a clean sheet(58%) this week and Gabriel also has a good aerial goal threat having scored three goals already this season, since the restart Southampton are ranked 3rd for most shots conceded from set piece(19) and 7th for headed shots conceded(38). Gabriel is joint third for headed attempts(10) since the restart. If he bags one he could easily have a double-digit return!

FPL GW32 Scout Picks- Midfielders
Salah at Home is altogether a different beast. Since the World Cup, Salah has 5 goals, 2 assists(from xGI of 7.2), and 50 points from 6 home games averaging 8.33 points per game. The same matchup we discussed above for TAA also holds good for Mo as well. He’s also a no-brainer captaincy choice this week on our scout picks.
Martinelli since GW24 has blanked only once and has the most points during the period(72 pts) from 7 goals and 3 assists. He is in amazing form, playing with Jesus is also advantageous for Martinelli with the duo having an excellent linkup. This was not the case when Nketiah was playing while Jesus was injured.
Gakpo operates as a striker, but is listed as a midfielder in the game. Gakpo did look good in the 1-6 thumping over Leeds with a goal and assist for 10 FPL points. He was also the Liverpool attacker with the highest xGI(1.1) against Leeds showcasing both goal-scoring and assist potential.
Eze has been a vital player for Palace since Roy became Palace manager once again in GW29. In the three games under Roy, Eze has been involved in the most goals(4 – 3 goals, and an assist) and his xGI is 2nd amongst Palace attackers. Eze offers a good goal threat and also offers a decent assist potential as well

FPL GW32 Scout Picks- Forwards
In the last three games since starting after the injury, Jesus has scored four goals from an xG of 2.73. His 6 big chances in the last 4 games is also the joint highest amongst all players during the period. Another no-brainer pick in this week’s scout picks.
Matchup alert- Watkins is up against a Brentford side who have conceded 23 chances through the center over the last 6 matches which is the highest in the league.
Solanke in the last four games is 2nd amongst all players for xGI(4.2) registering 2 goals and 2 assists during the period. West Ham have kept only 2 clean sheets all season in away games and generally are flat while traveling. The Hammers also have conceded 54% chances through the middle in the away games which offers an excellent matchup for Solanke.
Solanke in the last four games amongst all players: Goals: 2 Assists: 2 xG: 2.81 (3rd highest) Shots: 15 (2nd highest) Shots inside the box: 15 (Highest) Shots on Target: 7 (3rd Highest) Big Chances: 5(2nd highest) Big Chances created: 2 Key Passes: 4 xA: 1.42 xGI: 4.2(2nd Highest) FPL Points: 28(Joint 5th)
Watkins in the last 12 games has blanked only once scoring 11 goals and 3 assists during the period. He’s also the only player to have a double-digit xGI(11.1) during the period. Aston Villa are in sensational form and Watkins is a no-brainer option on the FPL GW32 Free Hit.
Matchup alert- Watkins is up against a Brentford side who have conceded 23 chances through the center over the last 6 matches which is the highest in the league.
