FPL GW27 Scout Picks

FPL GW27 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper

Raya vs Everton(A), Southampton(A)

We have gone with a Defense Double up on Brentford with Raya and Henry.

Their GW27 opponents Everton and Southampton- Both these teams are not in good form winning a combined 5 out of 21 games since the World Cup break. In fact, their attacking threat is what puts them down with both teams ranked 14th and 17th in the league for Goals scored since GW17. Brentford also have decent odds of 33%(via Drafthound) each in both their games in the double.

Raya has also made the most saves(103), ranked 2nd for BPS amongst goalkeepers(544) and joint highest for bonus amongst goalkeepers(14) offering points potential outside of clean sheets as well which bodes well from an FPL perspective.

FPL GW27 Scout Picks Defenders

Tripper after consistently returning every gameweek since the restart(GW17) till GW21 has not returned in FPL since then. Newcastle have won only one of their last eight games and are without a clean sheet in the last four games. But the Wolves fixture at home is the ideal game for the magpies to bounce back to winning ways.

Wolves since the WC break away from home have only scored 6 goals in 6 games from an xG of only 4.03(3rd lowest in the league). Newcastle have a 50% odds of a clean sheet vs Wolves (via Drafthound) which is the 4th highest this week.

Trippier since the WC Break has registered the second-highest xA(5.4), created the most big chances created(11), and key passes(37) amongst all players. Incredibly he has just had one assist (GW17) during the period, massively underperforming his xA. He’s definitely due an assist and a big haul soon!

Wolves have also conceded the 2nd most chances(47) and 3rd most crosses(122) since the WC through the left flank(Trippier’s flank) which makes it an excellent matchup for Trippier.

Estupinan has the most assists(3) and second most FPL points(42) among Defenders since GW20 averaging 7.0 FPL points/game. He has a lethal partnership with Mitoma and has both bonus and clean sheet potential in both his games this week which makes him a no-brainer option this week on our scout picks.

FPL GW27 Scout Picks Midfielders

Marcus Rashford is arguably in the form of his life and scored his 26th goal of the season against Real Betis in the Europa League game on Thursday. He’s playing Southampton at home and Man United have dominated teams at Old Trafford this season(Unbeaten at home in the last 20 games across all competitions).

The red devils have the highest odds(44% via Drafthound ) of scoring 2+ goals this week against Southampton and Rashford should continue his fine run of form. Since the restart, Rashford has the most points(92), most goals(10), most shots on target(19), second most big chances(12) in the league. Complete dominance.

Since GW23 when he started playing as a 10, McAllister tops almost the key stats among his teammates. He is top for shots, shots on target, shots in the box, big chances, xG, and xPts among his compatriots. McAllister also has the best xG(2.91) among all FPL players since GW23. His strong numbers, penalty appeal and the double has also pushed our scout FPLDaggaFC to put the scout picks captaincy on him this week.

While Mac Allister has the numbers, Mitoma has the form on his side. The Japanese winger has been instrumental for Brighton in the last few months and has scored 3 goals from just 10 shots on goal over the last six games. With his pace an strong finishing ability he should continue to trouble opposition full backs and continue his impressive goal scoring run.

Salah is back in form scoring a brace against Man United over the weekend and now faces Bournemouth in GW27, in the early meeting between the two teams Liverpool scored 9 goals in a 9-0 win, Salah remarkably didn’t score in that game. The cherries this season have conceded the most chances(115) down their left flank(Salah’s flank) which makes it an excellent matchup for Salah against Bouremouth and he’ll be looking to be on the scoresheet after missing out last time around when the two teams faced each other.

FPL GW27 Scout Picks Forwards

Harry Kane disappointed Wildcarders last week after failing to score against Wolves as Spurs lost the game 1-0. Spurs are in a bit of turbulence right now after going out of the UCL as well midweek to AC Milan. However, the Forest game is the perfect fixture for Spurs and Kane to get back in form. Forest are really poor away from home conceding 29 goals and keeping just 2 CS in 12 away games. In the last away game, Forest conceded 4 goals to West Ham!

Ivan Toney is a no brainer pick in this week’s scout picks, only Kane(18) and Haaland(27) have scored more goals than Toney(15) in the PL so far this season. He’s also third for xG(14.5) and second for big chances(26) amongst all players this season. The brenford forward is playing twice this week against Everton & Southampton both away from home and would be looking to his impressive goal tally this season.

The last time Haaland faced Palace he bagged a hat-trick, the eagles defence hasn’t been great and since the restart they have conceded the Most shots inside the box(113), Worst xGC(18.33) in the Premier League. The viking has gone a bit silent compared to his standards and would be looking to go big against the eagles.
