With the FPL GW27 Deadline approaching, we look to the Bookmakers and Prediction Models to give us an idea of which teams and players are expected to haul. A lot can be drawn from these probability and prediction models if we are able to break them down. In this article, we will perform the analysis on a team level as well as a player level by taking a deeper look at the FPL GW27 Odds.

FPL GW27 Odds Preview
Teams with Haul Potential in FPL GW27
Liverpool & Man Utd
In a Double Gameweek where most tables and statistics are dominated by the teams that double such as Brighton and Brentford, it is interesting to note that the teams with haul potential are still the big teams who have good fixtures. As such, we cannot ignore the potential hauls for key players from the bigger teams even though they only have a single Gameweek. The top 2 teams on the Over 2 Goals metric are Liverpool and Man Utd who both have a 42% chance of running their opponents over. Liverpool are coming off a massive performance against United and they will be looking to keep this level of performance up to give themselves a shot at the European places come the end of the season. United will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Anfield and what better way than to face a struggling Southampton side at home.
Man City & Spurs
City and Spurs are close behind, with a 40% chance for City to score more than 2 goals against Palace, and a 38% chance for Spurs to do the same against Forest. City will want to keep the pressure on Arsenal and the bookies favour them to wipe their opponents out this weekend. As for Spurs, a recurring theme this season is that they have been incredibly inconsistent. Despite winning Chelsea at home, they’ve since lost to Sheffield in the FA Cup and Wolves last weekend. That said, their home game against Forest this weekend is the best chance for them to turn things around and the bookies expect them to do exactly that.
Brighton & Brentford
Brighton are given 25% chance vs Leeds United & 31% chance vs Crystal Palace to get more than 2 goals. These are good numbers for both the Double Gameweek fixtures. Leeds and Palace are ranked 18th & 16th worst for Big Chances conceded since the World Cup break. No wonder, Brighton attackers March, Mitoma, Mac Allister are in demand. Brentford on the other hand are given 14% chance vs Everton(A) and 17% chances vs Southampton(A) to get over 2 goals.

Teams Predicted to Keep Clean Sheets in FPL GW27
Man City & Man Utd
City have been given a 55% chance to keep a clean sheet against Palace this week, and this comes as no surprise. Palace are one of 3 sides to only have scored 6 goals in the Premier League since the restart and you would expect a defense like City’s to have an easy time dealing with a toothless Palace attack. As for United, they have been given a 52% chance to clean up against Southampton. Considering that they just conceded 7 goals against Liverpool last weekend, you would imagine Ten Hag would focus on shoring up that back line and demanding a higher standard from his players.
Spurs & Newcastle
Spurs and Newcastle have been given 50% and 48% respectively to clean up against their opponents this weekend. Spurs face a Forest side that have managed to find the back of the net quite consistently in the past few games, but even so, they favour Spurs to have a decent advantage at home and still believe there is a good chance for them to clean up in that game. As for Newcastle, though their attacking numbers have tapered off since the restart, their defensive numbers are still solid as ever, and you would not put it past them to keep a clean sheet against Wolves.
Brighton and Brentford
Even though, Brighton and Brentford don’t make the Top 4 it is important to include them in the clean sheet debate due to the attractive Doubles and both teams also doubling in GW29. Brentford have 33% chances of clean sheet both against Everton and Southampton. Brighton on the other hand have slightly better numbers with 36% chances of a cleansheet vs Leeds United and 48% chances of a clean sheet vs Crystal Palace.

Brighton Assets
Brighton dominate the Predicted Points metric this week and rightly so given they have the easiest fixtures of all the teams that double. Among Brighton attackers, Mitoma and Mac Allister top the metric with 10.4 and 10.0 predicted points respectively. Mitoma has always been one that passed the eye test and looks very lively whenever he is on the pitch. Mac Allister on the other hand has found some joy in his new No.10 role and he is hogging a lot of the big chances that Brighton have. Couple with the fact that he is on penalties and set pieces, it is no surprise that Mac Allister is very high up the metric as well.
Brighton Defenders are ones to target this week as well, with players like Estupinan, Veltman and Dunk all finding themselves among the top few in terms of predicted points this week. Finding the right Brighton triple up will be absolutely massive in GW27.

Brentford Assets
Brentford are slightly lower on the metric, possibly because of the fact that they play 2 away games in GW27. That said, their fixtures are still very decent and there is every chance we see their players haul this Gameweek. The attacker of choice from Brentford would be none other than Ivan Toney who sits on 9.9 predicted points and despite all the drama surrounding his upcoming ban, it does seem like he will be allowed to play both GW27 games, which puts him in firm contention for the captain’s armband.
