TEAM OF THE WEAK –FPL GW22 – CRY ME A MITOMA

BAZUNU – 4.5 – SOU

We kick off with Saints, which was about all they did successfully this week. Bazunu didn’t make a single save in a 3-0 humbling in which his team were battered from start to finish.

But it’s okay because when Jones managed Luton they were pound for pound the best team in the world.

FPL GW22 Team of the Weak ~ Defenders

MATIP – 5.9 – LIV

A shimmering steeple of shit. A titanic tower of fecal matter. An odious obelisk of urine soaked ineptitude. Joel Matip vs Wolves.

4 descriptions which basically mean the same thing.

TAA – 7.2 – LIV

Just 3 months ago the suggestion that Wan-Bissaka would now be closer to the England squad than Trent, would have rightfully been greeted with a chorus of laughter.

But here we are. One has rescued his career and made the most tackles in the league since Christmas.

And the other couldn’t tackle a sheep.

MINGS – 4.3 – AVL

Zero tackles, duels or blocks in a 4-0 home loss. Let’s not forget that this is the team who people are saying will be a “tough match” for Haaland next week…

They offered up all the defensive protection of a paper mâché fort in a blizzard.

AKE – 5.1 – MCI

Nobody will ever convince me Nathan Ake is a great defender. How he has ended up as first choice for Manchester City isn’t through skill or nous, it’s the result of a bored Pep determined to try and win a title on the hardest difficulty setting.

I know nothing. But I know this much is true.

FPL GW22 Team of the Weak ~ Attackers

PARTEY – 4.7 – ARS

The destroyer at the base of the midfield remains the most important position in top flight football, no matter how little impact they have on our FPL teams. Partey was as uncomfortable as a night out alone in Burnley… and so all around him crumbled like Aunt Bessie with an apple strudel.

MARTINELLI – 6.6 – ARS

58 minutes of simply spectacular incompetence. Some players (Luke Shaw for example) rise to the challenge of a competitor breathing down their necks… Martinelli seems to have hoisted the white flag the second Trossard arrived.

He’ll be in Munich in months.

CASIMIRO – 4.9 – MUN

Casimiro has been one of the signings of the season, but he will now be suspended for four out of five key Premier League matches for basically assaulting people and then looking like Sad Sack from the Raggy Dolls

ADAMS – 6.3 – SOU

Che Adams completed just 42% of passes, created absolutely nothing for his team mates and had just one, terrible, shot for himself.

Yes Nathan Jones is basically a pub manager who hasn’t even left the pub, but aren’t some of these players just, you know… embarrassed.

BAMFORD – 7.2 – LEE

There was a time when Patrick Bamford seemed to play with an easy elegance, a languid salubrious style that was once a joy to watch.

And then there was today, where he looked like a child had won a day out to have a kick about with the lads.

Key Stat- Bamford has a 10% Big chances conversion rate this season converting 1/10 Big chances so far. To put things into context Nunez has converted 4/20 Big chances this season having a 20% conversion rate.

HAALAND – 12.2 – MCI

Nobody messes with peak Eric Dier. Fucking nobody.

The Norse legend turned up expecting roasted meat and ended up with boiled sheep’s head.
