Gameweek 9 proved to be a high-scoring one with a lot of managers hitting 100+ scores thanks to a monster haul from the most popular captain choice and the one that topped our captaincy metrics last week, Haaland who returned 23 points. In this blog let’s see what CRF(Cumulative rank factor) Haaland will get and how close the other captaincy candidates will get compared to Haaland.
The metrics had a 30/38 “returns record” last season and so far has an 8/8 “returns record” with Haaland topping the metrics in GW9 and returning with 46 points. Do follow the man behind the metrics @AK_FPL1(Do follow him on Twitter)
Note: “Returns” ~ player topping the metrics getting points returns and not necessarily the highest scoring option of the week. Metrics total points so far: 192 points(24+10+12+34+34+18+12+46)

FPL GW10 Captaincy poll ~ Wisdom Of the Crowd
Haaland once again dominates the poll without a surprise getting nearly 80% of the votes. Salah, KDB, Maddison, and Kane making the rest of the top five in the polls this week. Last week saw a few managers go with Salah and Maddison captaincy but considering how big Haaland hauled it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s the most captained player in a single gameweek ever in FPL history.

Fixture Difficulty of the candidate team in FPL GW10
Man City playing Southampton means the odds seem to fully back them with a 95% chance of one goal and 69% chance of 2+ goals. Maddison has good odds(77% of one goal, 23% chance of 2+ goals) not better than Man City but still good odds which shows why he’s an alternative captaincy choice this week amongst many managers. Liverpool are close to Leicester with an 75% chance of scoring one goal and 23% chance of scoring 2+ goals. Kane is last on the list in terms of odds due to the tricky game vs Brighton who put in a super performance vs Liverpool in GW9.
