Essential Premium Defenders for SPITCH Matchday 9
- Trent Alexander Arnold
- Reece James
- Cancelo
- Saliba
- Virgil Van Dijk
- Joachim Andersen
PS: Perisic and Zinchenko are not defenders on SPITCH
Cancelo is easily one of the best options in SPITCH and this reflects in the season data so far as he is the highest scoring defender in SPITCH with 2295 points at an average of 328 points. Interestingly all the other players in the top five for most points amongst defenders are centre backs which once again shows the importance of points for passing in SPITCH. 1290 points out of 2295 points that Cancelo scored came from passing points metrics(Includes pass, super pass, throw-in, cross, intercepted ball).
Joachim Andersen is an underrated option on SPITCH as he’s an elite passer and ball carrier, him being in the top five for points amongst defenders shows how good of an option he is in SPITCH.
Essential Budget Defenders for SPITCH Matchday 9
- Jonny
- Dalot
- Tarkowski
- Rico Henry
- Aaron Hickey
- Mykolenko
- James Tarkowski
- Zemura
- Castagne
- Trippier
- Justin
- Ait Nouri
- Ben Mee
- Neco Williams
While picking up defenders in SPITCH one crucial thing to keep in mind is that there is no clean sheet points. This makes picking the budget defenders a lot more hard as you’re not filtering based on their clean sheet potential. For instance, even though Leicester lost heavily to Spurs, James Justin scored 388 points and is priced only ₵60, he’s also averaging an impressive 235 points per game this season. Castagne too is a great option at only ₵59 and he is averaging an impressive 197 points as well per game this season.
James Tarkowski at ₵79 has gone under the radar so far this season and he in fact scored 319 points in matchday 8 and is averaging 274 points per game which is even more than Trent(264 points).
Trippier at ₵77 is also always a sensible option on SPITCH as he offers points from multiple routes. This season he averages 241 points per game and scored 235 points in matchday 8. He’s also a consistent points producer someone whom you can trust.
Essential Premium Midfielders for SPITCH Matchday 9
- Rodri
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Gundogan
- Foden
- Bernardo Silva
- James Maddison
One of Rodri(₵180) or KDB(₵200) is always an essential in SPITCH as they are consistently amongst the top points scorer each week. KDB tops the points scored amongst midfielders till matchday 8 with a whopping 2486 points with Rodri registering 2270 points so far, Rodri offers points from multiple routes as seen below which makes him a great option even when Man City play tougher teams like Man United in Matchday 9. In four out of the 7 matchdays, Rodri has scored more than 300 points which makes the Mr. Consistent SPITCH asset.
Another option who has been performing superbly well on SPITCH is Maddison. In matchday 8 he was the second highest scoring player scoring 692 points and averages 352 points per game costing just ₵98, his average is just 3 less than KDB who cost nearly double( ₵200)

- Odegaard
- Bentancur
- Perisic(Yes, a mid in SPITCH)
- Aribo
There are a lot of budget midfielder options to consider on SPITCH look for the ones that offer consistent points for all actions on the pitch. James Ward Prowse is a great option at ₵90 who offers points for multiple on-field actions and is always a constant set piece threat.
Essential Premium Forwards for SPITCH Matchday 9
- Salah
- Haaland
- Kane
- Son
- Jesus
- Diaz
- Toney
- Rashford
Haaland has been on a level above the rest and is the only player to score more than 3000 points on SPITCH already. He averages an eye-catching 462 points per game and should very well be the first name in your matchday 9 team for SPITCH. Mitrovic is the only player from outside the top six teams to be in the top five for most points amongst forwards. His average of 338 points is pretty impressive considering he’s only priced at ₵128 whereas the other premium forwards are above ₵200
