The 2022/23 season of fantasy football is in full swing and this time around for us Fantasy football managers, there’s a great season-long fantasy football game from SPITCH. The SPITCH season-long mode runs for the whole season but in the end, counts only the five best lineups of the season. That is, only five of your best gameweeks at the end of the season will count.
Unlike FPL, this rule in SPITCH enables you to maximize the good gameweeks and don’t worry about the bad ones. You can easily move on in SPITCH even if you went Kane over Haaland in the first week. Similarly, you don’t have to worry about missing a deadline once in a while as it will not impact you on SPITCH as it does on FPL.
What are the two different SPITCH season-long games this season?
- £2,500 prize pool free to enter SPITCH season-long game. The winner gets £1,000, guaranteed winnings till 10th place.
- £50,000 prize pool, £5 to enter SPITCH season-long game. The winner gets £7,500, guaranteed winnings till 2500th place.
The rules for both the season-long game are the same, which we’ll see below. SPITCH is currently available in the following countries

- Pick 11 players from a budget of ₵1,200
- £50,000 prize pool, £7,500 for the winner, and guaranteed winnings till 2500th place.
- Unlike FPL you can go over the budget of ₵1,200 but that means you start with negative points to begin the gameweek.
- The formations are quite flexible and you can even have four forwards formation in your team, with a lot of value in forwards this season that’s a good shout!
- The points are powered by Opta and are quite extensive covering all the actions on the pitch. Explained in detail down below in a separate section.
- No captaincy in SPITCH’s season-long game.
- Only the five best-performing gameweeks/matchdays will count. So you don’t have to worry about missing a gameweek deadline or having a bad gameweek in SPITCH.
- The safety net feature enables auto substitution if in case a player in your starting 11 doesn’t play.
- Deadline at Kickoff and you can swap players even after the deadline provided both the player being transferred in and transferred out haven’t played in the matchday yet.

Some tips for SPITCH season-long game:
- Choose players who can get points outside of goals, assists, and CS.
- Defensive midfielders are gems in SPITCH as they pass a lot and each pass gets 2 points in FPL. Rodri was the highest-scoring midfielder in SPITCH last season and 3 out of the top 5 midfielders last season are not known to play high up in the pitch. Hojberg even averaged more points than Kane although he was a lot more cheaper than Kane.
- Cancelo is one of the elite players to consider in SPITCH. He was the highest-scoring player in SPITCH last season and averaged 364 points per game. A strong captaincy choice in SPITCH every week.
- The deadline is at kick-off so you can check starting 11 and make changes.
