All Premier League Teams Predicted GW9 Lineups

Arsenal

Thomas Partey was withdrawn from the Ghana squad as a precaution but Arsenal should be hoping that he should be fine. The same can be said of Kieran Tierney. Martin Odegaard played for Norway so it’s safe to assume that he comes back in for Fabio Viera.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Arsenal GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Arsenal GW9 Predicted lineup:

Ramsdale

White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tierney

Xhaka – Partey – Odegaard

Saka – Jesus – Martinelli

PC/Injury updates:(30/09/22)

Arteta: “We’ve just finished the last training session, we had a short period to prepare, the boys look in good condition.”

Usual stance from Arteta in terms of injuries, wouldn’t give anything away or comment on individual players’ fitness ahead of a game. On Partey, Zinchenko, Tierney – He just said smiling: “They are part of the team.” via Charles Watts

Aston Villa

FPL GW9 Predicted Lineups- Digne

The main news for Villa is that Kamara so Douglas Luiz probably comes in for him. Besides that there shouldn’t be much alteration for Villa following their win over Southampton. Digne is ruled out due to an injury and will be replaced by Augustinsson. Cash is out for this game and Young will start in his place.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Aston Villa GW9 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-1-2

Aston Villa GW9 Predicted Lineup:

Martinez

Young – Mings – Konsa – Augustinsson

Ramsey – McGinn – Luiz

Coutinho

Bailey – Watkins

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Kamara, Digne and Cash are all out but Cash is set to be back to full training on Monday.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth made a surprise change with Senesi coming in for Kelly at centre half and he may now stay in the team.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Bournemouth GW9 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Bournemouth GW9 Predicted lineup:

Neto

Smith – Mepham – Sensei – Zemura

Cook – Lerma

Christie – Billing- Tavernier

Solanke

PC/Injury updates (29/09/22)

“The boys that are on the way back are doing really well. Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell are getting closer and almost there.

“Ryan Fredericks is making big improvements and I’m delighted with where the group are.

“Lloyd Kelly won’t be available yet,” he said. via Bournemouth website

Brighton

It’s hard to know what new manager Roberto De Zerbi will opt for in his first match in charge. The only thing we’ve really got to go by at the moment is what has worked so well for them at the start of the season and Roberto De Zerbi probably won’t go away from this too much.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Brighton

Brighton GW9 Predicted formation

  • 3-4-1-2

Brighton GW9 Predicted lineup:

Sanchez

Veltman – Webster – Dunk – Estupinan

MacAllister – Caicedo

March – Gross Trossard

Welbeck

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

“Enock Mwepu is unavailable. We are waiting for him because he is a big loss for him. Everybody else is okay.”

“Adam Lallana trained today with the squad and the first XI. I think he can’t start but he feels good. Tariq Lamptey trained yesterday (Thursday) for the first time. He feels good but I think Lamptey will not be ready to start. Via Brighton Website

Brentford

Brentford went to a back three against Arsenal. I imagine that was due to the difficulty of the fixture and they should go back to a back four. Ajer coming in was a big boost so I’d expect him to retain his place alongside Mee.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Brentford GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW9 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Hickey – Ajer – Mee – Henry

Janlet – Jensen

Bapitse

Mbeumo – Toney – Wissa

PC/Injury updates (29/09/22)

Thomas Frank says Ethan Pinnock “is getting a lot closer” to making his first appearance of the season for Brentford. “He is looking sharper and sharper. Let’s say we didn’t have any centre-backs, could he play? Yes. But he probably needs bit more consistency with training.”

Norgaard still “weeks” away and Lewis-Potter has an ankle/foot ligament issue so will be unavailable against Bournemouth too.

Chelsea

Rather like with Brighton, it’s difficult to know how Potter will line up for his first Premier League match in charge. With Potter, we do have the advantage of a Champion’s league fixture to go by. 4.4 Million keeper Kepa starts for Chelsea with Mendy still out. Although it’s unclear if Kepa is the first choice or if he’s just covering till Mendy is back, not an easy decision on the Wildcard.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Chelsea in GW8

Chelsea GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-1-2

Chelsea GW9 Predicted lineup:

Kepa,

Koulibaly – Fofana – Thiago Silva

Reece James – Kovacic – Jorginho – Chilwell

Mount

Sterling – Havertz

PC/Injury updates:(30/09/22)

‘They’re not available,’ reported Potter on Mendy and Kante

‘They’re absolutely fine in terms of coming through the rehab stages. NG has been on the grass with the team, but not really full training.

‘Edou is a bit further on, but hasn’t had enough to be involved at the weekend. Maybe next week for him.’

‘We’ve got a bit of illness with Marc Cucurella and Carney,’ added Potter.

‘Apart from that, everybody is fit.’ via the Chelsea website

Crystal Palace

Typically, Viera has opted to play against the back three against the bigger teams so that may well be the case again. Olise may be the one to drop out to enable that switch.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Palace in GW8

Crystal Palace GW9 Predicted Formation

  • 3-4-3

Guaita

ClyneGuehi – Anderson -Ward- Mitchell

Schlupp – Doucoure

EzeEdouard – Zaha

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Ferguson, McArthur, Butland are all out but Tomkins is back.

Everton

FPL GW9 Predicted Lineups- Patterson

The key headline news for Everton is that of Nathan Paterson suffering a serious-looking injury whilst playing for Scotland. He’s now out for 4-5 weeks and Coleman should come in his place. The front 6 should remain the same following the success it brought them against West Ham.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Everton GW9 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Everton GW9 Predicted lineup

Pickford

Coleman- Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko

Onana – Iwobi – Gueye

Gray – Gordon

Maupay

PC/Injury updates (29/09/22)

“It’s a blow for us all, he’s been fantastic.” Frank Lampard is hopeful that Nathan Patterson can come back as soon as possible but confident that Seamus Coleman can fill the gap. Patterson is out for 4-5 weeks. “Pickford is back fit and DCL will be involved this gameweek”

Fulham

Making his debut for the club, Willian was thoroughly impressive so he should retain his place in the team. Marco Silva opted to hand Isa Diop his debut and play him at left back in Robinson’s absence and that should continue to be the case.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Fulham GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Fulham GW9 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Tete -Tosin – Ream – Diop

Nathaniel Chalobah – H Reed

Willian – Andreas – Reid

Mitrovic

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Marco on injuries: “We have some knocks. João (suspension), Harry Wilson and Manor will not be involved but all the others will need to be assesed.

Leeds United

Rasmus Kristensen, though injured for the clash with Brentford 4 weeks ago, should be back for this tie and other than that there probably won’t be any changes.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Leeds in GW8

Leeds United GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Leeds United GW9 Predicted lineup:

 Meslier

Kristensen – Llorente – Koch – Struijk

Adams-Roca

Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison

Bamford

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

J𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗼: “He’s fit, strong and ready to go. He’s trained really well this week, he’s 100% as close to being fit as I’ve seen him.”

“Archie has fractured his toe, he’ll be out for two weeks. Stuart is making a good recovery and on track. Adam twisted his ankle, not so bad but he won’t be available this weekend. Every other player is available”

Leicester City

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Leicester City GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Leicester City GW9 Predicted lineup:

Ward

Castagne – Faes – Evans – Justin

Tielemans -Ndidi- Dewsbury Hall

Maddison – Daka- Barnes

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Rodgers on Ndidi and Praet: He’s looking really positive and trained this morning so hopefully he will be fine. Dennis Praet had few days where he was struggling, but he came through the last few days well and looked good in training so we’re okay.”

Liverpool

The most promising news from a Liverpool perspective is that of the returning Thiago. Thiago started the Champion’s League match against Ajax and made an immediate impact so he should start against Brighton. Both Joel Matip should also come back.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Liverpool in GW8

Liverpool GW9 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW9 Predicted lineup:

Allison

Alexander Arnold – Van Dijk – Matip -Tsimikas

Elliott – Fabinho – Thiago

Salah – Nunez – Diaz

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Jurgen Klopp on the squad fitness: “Some are still out, Robbo, Curtis, Oxlade and Naby, those four are out.”

Klopp on Andy Robertson “He’s doing really well. It looks really good so he’s not out for long. He’s already out on the pitch running. It’s a good sign. I don’t know if it will be next week or the week after”

“Luis Diaz only landed yesterday morning. I didn’t see him yet. I heard he’s good. “Darwin, precaution after intense period. Same for Diogo. “Calvin is training but not ready to play.”

Klopp: “Kelleher will play u23s but needs training likewise with Konate.”

Manchester City

The injury sustained by John Stones should mean that Manuel Akanji should keep his place. Walker, now that he’s fit, should also go straight back in. Further forward, the player most susceptible to rotation is probably Grealish but considering he impressed against Wolves, he may stay in the side.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Manchester City GW9 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Manchester City GW9 Predicted lineup:

Ederson

John Stones is ruled out for Man City vs Manchester United with a hamstring injury, with no timeframe for his return, confirms Pep Guardiola via CityXtra

Pep Guardiola on Aymeric Laporte “He’s training really well, trained alone when people were with the national teams

Manchester United

There hasn’t as of yet been any news on Rashford’s availability but I’ll assume for now that he’ll be fit to start. The other most likely change is that of Casemiro finally coming in for McTominay but I’d be slightly surprised if his first start for the club was in such a tough game.

Last week’s success rate: N/A blank for Man United in GW8

Manchester United GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester United GW9 Predicted lineup:

De Gea

Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Malacia

Eriksen – McTominay

Anthony – Bruno – Sancho

Rashford

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Ten Hag says Rashford and Martial could be back for mufc. Maguire is out.

Newcastle United

FPL GW9 Predicted Lineups- Isak

First thing’s first, Alexander Isak injured himself on international duty and will likely be out for a couple of weeks. Callum Wilson is now back fit. Although Eddie Howe would have preferred to ease him in, it may be a case of needs must so he could go back in from the start. Saint-Maximin is close but it remains to be seen if he’ll start from the beginning or if Fraser retains his place.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Newcastle United GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Newcastle United GW9 Predicted lineup:

Pope

Trippier Botman – Schar – Targett

Willock – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton

Almiron – Wilson – Fraser

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

“Chris came off with a rib problem for New Zealand – he took a knock. He’s another player we’ll make a late decision on.”

“Callum has trained. He’s trained for around ten days with us now & is in a good place. Every time he comes back from an injury he does the work and doesn’t cut corners. He’s put a lot of work in with the sports science team too so he’s looked good.”

Eddie Howe on Saint-Maximin: “He’s doing well. He’s had a period away but he’s come back & he’s close. There’s a lot of moving parts with us at the moment. I’m being vague but that’s because there are a few situations that are unclear going into the game – Allan is one of them.”

Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak: “He picked up an injury training with Sweden but the scan doesn’t look too bad. We’re not overly concerned it’s a long injury. With any muscle injury there’s a period where you have to be careful. He’s out running on the grass and is looking good.”

Nottingham Forest

Scott McKenna has returned from international duty with an injury and will be out. Boly/Biancone/Bade could start in place of him.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Nottingham Forest GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Nottingham Forest GW9 Predicted lineup

Henderson

Worrall – Cook – Boly

Williams – O’Brien – Freuler – Lodi

Awoniyi – Johnson – Gibbs White

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

“Scott’s a doubt having had to withdraw early from the Scotland camp, so with regards to Monday, we’re still not sure whether he’s going to be available for that.

“But the guys who stayed with us, and those who have come back from international duty are all good to go.

“We are as we were before, it’s just Scott who is a doubt.”

Southampton

No new concerns for Saints and they should remain similar to how they lined up in GW8.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Southampton GW9 Predicted formation

  • 5-3-2

Southampton GW9 Predicted lineup:

Bazunu

Walker-Peters – Bella-Kotchap – Salisu- Perraud

Diallo – Ward Prowse

Elyounoussi – Aribo – Adam Armstrong

Che Adams

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Romeo Lavia and Tino Livramento remain Saints’ only long-term absentees, with Hasenhüttl confirming Lavia could take ‘a few more weeks’ before he returns to the pitch.

Tottenham

Tottenham should go in full strength for the North London derby. That should mean Romero comes back in, along with Son who it’s fair to say didn’t take too kindly to being dropped.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Spurs GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Spurs GW9 Predicted lineup:

Lloris

Romero – Dier – Lenglet

Emerson – Bentancur -Hojbjerg – Perisic

Richarlison – Kane – Son

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Ben Davies and Moura should be closing on a return but Conte did not offer an update. Kulusevski is carrying an injury from the international break and Richarlison could start in his place. Hugo Lloris is having some problems but Conte hoped to see him on Sunday.

West Ham

West Ham should remain similar from GW8 with Ben Johnson nearing a comeback and Aguerd further improving on his fitness.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

West Ham GW9 Predicted Formation

  • 4-2-3-1

West Ham GW9 Predicted lineup:

Fabianski

Coufal – Kehrer – Zouma – Cresswell

Rice – Soucek – Paqueta

Bowen – Scamacca – Fornals

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Ben Johnson has had a week-and-a-half of training,” Moyes told the media. “He’s closing in on fitness.”

“We’ve got Aguerd doing a little bit on the grass, but nowhere near the sort of level of training – but at least he’s back now, getting outside a little bit more.”

Moyes also confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns after the international break, which featured numerous first team Hammers.

“We are feeling that most of the players at the moment look as if they have returned from international duty okay,” Moyes stated.

Wolves

Despite signing in time to start against City, Diego Costa didn’t play but I imagine he’ll make his debut against West Ham this weekend. Jonny and Ait Nouri started in the fullback positions and it’s impossible to tell whether that’ll remain the case given Lage’s tendency to rotate there. However, given that this is the combination with the most quality I’d expect it to continue.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Wolves GW9 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Wolves GW9 Predicted lineup:

Sa

Jonny – Kilman – Toti – AitNouri

Neves – Nunes – Moutinho

Guedes – Costa – Neto

PC/Injury updates (30/09/22)

Kalajdzic, ChiquinhoRaul Jimenez are all still out and Collins starts his three-game ban from GW9 following a red card in GW8.

As we said when predicting the GW8 lineups, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have. Article penned by @FPLHindsight(Drop him a follow on Twitter)
