All Premier League Teams Predicted GW7 Lineups

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta made one change from the side that beat Villa with Zinchenko coming back in for Tierney after spending the past two games injured. Thomas Partey should be back for the clash with Everton which means Lokonga could drop out.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Arsenal GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Arsenal GW7 Predicted lineup:

Ramsdale

White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tierney

Xhaka – Partey – Odegaard

Saka – Jesus – Martinelli

Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Partey is aiming for a return against Everton as mentioned on ltarsenal.com

Aston Villa

After chopping and changing the lineup for weeks, Stephen Gerrard finally stumbled upon a lineup that worked effectively. Douglas Luiz came in for Emi Buendia and Aston Villa were a far more cohesive outfit. As such, the same lineup should persist for the fixture against Leicester this week.

Maty Cash did go off early in the first half for Ashley Young but he should come back in providing his injury isn’t serious.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Aston Villa GW7 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-1-2

Aston Villa GW7 Predicted Lineup:

Martinez

Cash – Mings – Konsa – Digne

Kamara – McGinn – Luiz

Ramsey

Bailey – Watkins

Bournemouth

Bournemouth went in to the Nottingham Forest contest unchanged from the side that drew 0-0 with Wolves. With another positive result, I can see the lineup largely remaining the same. The most likely change, if any, will be that of Jadon Anthony potentially rewarded with a start over Christie after coming on to score the winner.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Bournemouth GW7 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Bournemouth GW7 Predicted lineup:

Neto

Smith – Mepham – Kelly – Zemura

Cook – Lerma – Anthony

Tavernier Solanke – Billing

Brighton

Graham Potter decided to make one change from the side that lost to Fulham with Estupinan dropping to the bench for Danny Welbeck. Notably, Trossard played as the left wingback, and Gross started just behind Welbeck. The success that this brought them should mean that the same thing is deployed against Bournemouth in GW7.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Brighton GW7 Predicted formation

  • 3-4-1-2

Brighton GW7 Predicted lineup:

Sanchez

Veltman – Webster – Dunk

March – MacAllister – Caicedo – Trossard

Gross

MwepuWelbeck

Before going further do vote in FPL GW7 Captaincy Poll below

Haaland once again returned to make it 6/6 successful returns for our Captaincy Metrics this season. Do vote in the captaincy poll for this week below. The captaincy metrics blog from @AK_FPL1 will be posted soon based on the votes.

Brentford

Almost everything went as planned for Brentford against Leeds as they blitzed their opponents 5-2. As such, I can see the same lineup persisting for Southampton. Wissa and Lewis Potter will probably continue to share game time but given the latter started in a 5-2 victory this week, I can see him staying in the side.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Brentford GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW7 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Hickey – Jansson – Mee – Henry

Janlet – Jensen

Bapitse

Mbeumo – Toney – Lewis Potter

Chelsea

As expected, Wesley Fofana started as soon as he came into the club. Other points of note for those of Pulisic starting and Mount dropping for the bench. Given that Pulisic wasn’t particularly impressive, however, I’d expect that to be reversed.

Ben Chilwell scored a goal and provided an assist when he came on for Cucurella who had a difficult time of it. Chilwell then went on to start in the Champion’s League and given that Tuchel has been hesitant to overplay him, Cucurella may still start against Fulham.

After receiving his debut against Zagreb on Tuesday, Aubameyang too should start against Fulham.

Last week’s success rate: 7/11 (We predicted 7 starters correctly last week)

Chelsea GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-1-2

Chelsea GW7 Predicted lineup:

Mendy,

Koulibaly – Fofana – Thiago Silva

Reece James – Kovacic – Gallagher – Cucurella

Mount

Sterling – Aubameyang

Crystal Palace

As expected, Crystal Palace went to a back 4 against Newcastle. I’d expect the same formation and same personnel to be deployed against Man United in GW7.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Crystal Palace GW7 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

Crystal Palace GW7 Predicted lineup:

Guaita

Clyne – Guehi – Anderson – Mitchell

Schlupp – Doucoure

Ayew – Eze – Zaha

Mateta

Everton

The improved performance by Everton against Liverpool should mean that there aren’t too many changes for Arsenal. The only likely change I can envisage is that of Tom Davies potentially coming out for Gueye who came off the bench for his second debut for the club.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Everton GW7 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Everton GW7 Predicted lineup

Pickford

Paterson – Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko

Onana – Iwobi – Gueye

Gray – Gordon

Maupay

Fulham

Of concern to Marco Silva’s men will be the injury sustained by Antonee Robinson mid-way through the first half. Robinson appeared to go over on his ankle and had to come off for Kevin Mbabu who is conventionally a right back. One of Fulham’s many deadline day signings, PSG left-back was one. If he is match fit, which wasn’t the case for Saturday hence Mbabu coming on, he could be in line for a start against Chelsea in Robinson’s absence.

Elsewhere, Dan James and Willian both came in on deadline day and both could find themselves starting.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Fulham GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Fulham GW7 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Tete -Tosin – Ream – Kurzawa,

Palhinha – H Reed

Willian – Andreas – Dan James

Mitrovic

Leeds United

Leeds made two changes for the match against Brentford, both enforced. Rodrigo was confirmed out before the match but it turned out that Kristensen too had sustained a niggle. As such, Gelhardt and Drameh came in.

Drameh, after having a tough time of it, was replaced by the returning Ayling for the final 20 minutes or so, so if Kristensen is still out, Ayling may start instead of Drameh.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Leeds United GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Leeds United GW7 Predicted lineup:

 Meslier

Ayling – Llorente – Koch – Struijk

Adams, Roca,

Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison

Gelhardt

Leicester City

Despite the fact that the 5-2 scoreline against them doesn’t exactly reflect well on them, there were some positives to be had. Rodgers opted to hand stars to both Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho in place of Dewsbury-Hall and Vardy. The increased mobility in strikers improved their attacking play significantly so we can expect Rogers to deploy the same formation against Aston Villa.

Defensively, Luke Thomas struggled for large parts of the game so Timothy Castagne, who was only a substitute for this game, should come back in.

Though he scored at the weekend, Iheanacho has never really gained Rodgers trust so I’d expect Vardy to come back in for him.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Leicester City GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Leicester City GW7 Predicted lineup:

Ward

Castagne – Ndidi – Evans – Justin

Soumare – Tielemans

Maddison – Daka – Barnes

Vardy

Liverpool

As soon as he served his three-match suspension, Darwin Nunez came straight back into the side. Fabio Carvalho also received his first Premier League start.

The most surprising omission was that of Andy Robertson who, after going off early for Tsimikas on a number of occasions, was now benched for the Greek player. I’d imagine that Robertson comes back in for GW7 and the benching on Saturday was in all likelihood just a rest.

Now that Joel Matip is fit, he too should come into the 11, especially considering how vulnerable Liverpool’s defence has been in his absence.

Last week’s success rate: 7/11 (We predicted 7 starters correctly last week)

Liverpool GW7 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW7 Predicted lineup:

Allison

Alexander Arnold – Van Dijk – Matip – Robertson

Carvallho – Fabinho – Eliott

Salah – Nunez – Diaz

Manchester City

Unlike against Aston Villa in GW6, the City side to play against Tottenham should be easy to predict this week. given Tottenham have caused them problems historically, Guardiola is likely to go with a full-strength team from what he has at his disposal.

One player he almost certainly won’t have at his disposal is Kyle Walker on whom Guardiola wasn’t sure as to whether he’d be back for Tottenham, Dortmund, or even the International break. From this, it’s safe to infer he’ll be missing the Tottenham match. The most logical solution would be to put Cancelo at right back and to give Sergio Gomez a debut at left-back. However, Pep doesn’t always go for the logical option so anything could be on the cards.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Manchester City GW7 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester City GW7 Predicted lineup:

Ederson

Cancelo – Dias -Stones – Gomez

Rodri – Gundogan,

B Silva – De Bruyne – Foden

Haaland

Manchester United

The most interesting United selection was that of Anthony starting just four days after signing for the club. That decision from Ten Hag was immediately vindicated as Anthony scored so he should start against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Every week since his arrival, I’ve picked Casemiro to start and every week thus far he hasn’t due to a lack of match fitness. If he starts in the Europa League, McTominay may continue in the side but if he comes on as a substitute, he may well be in line for his first start against Crystal Palace.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Manchester United GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester United GW7 Predicted lineup:

De Gea

Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Malacia

Eriksen – McTominay

Anthony – Bruno – Sancho

Rashford

Newcastle United

Despite being close to full fitness, neither Guimaraes nor Saint Maximin were deemed ready to start so Longstaff and Fraser deputized once more. Both should be back for West Ham however and should go straight back in.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Newcastle United GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Newcastle United GW7 Predicted lineup:

Pope

Trippier Botman – Schar – Burn

Willock – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton

Almiron – Isak – ASM

Nottingham Forest

Of their many issues in the second half against Bournemouth, the biggest for Forest was their midfield being overrun so we can expect a change in that regard. Steve Cooper started with Yates and Kouyate. Providing Mangala is still out, Lewis O’brien who was omitted should come back in.

There may also be a number of other changes but given the plethora of options along with the fact that we have seen little to nothing of most of the new signings, it’s almost impossible to predict who those changes are likely to be.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Nottingham Forest GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Nottingham Forest GW7 Predicted lineup

Henderson

Worrall – Cook – McKenna

Williams – O’Brien – Yates – Lodi

Lingard – Johnson – Gibbs White

Southampton

Ralph HassenHuttl adopted a 4231 for the Wolves fixture, going away from his favoured 4222 approach. Though they weren’t able to score against Wolves, it wasn’t for a lack of trying on Southampton’s part. They were particularly bright when Stuart Armstrong came on in the second half which suggests to me that he may be in line for a start against Brentford with Elyounoussi possibly missing out.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Southampton GW7 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Southampton GW7 Predicted lineup:

Bazunu

Walker-Peters – Bella-Kotchap – Salisu – Perraud

Diallo – Ward Prowse

Aribo – S Armstrong A Armstrong

Adams

Tottenham

The headline-worthy selections Antonio Conte made in this game were those of Richarlison receiving his first Premier League start at Spurs, Sessegnon starting at left wing-back, and Romero returning from injury.

though I expected Son to miss out in favour of Richarlison, it was in fact Kulusevski who dropped to the bench, but I’d expect him to return for the City clash.

After being on the bench for Fulham, Perisic should also go back into the 11.

It’s a close call regarding Perisic/Sessegnon, watch out for Paul O Keefe’s predicted lineup as he’s very reliable with the Spurs predicted lineup. (Link to his Twitter)

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Spurs GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Spurs GW7 Predicted lineup:

Lloris

Romero – Dier – Lenglet

Emerson – Bentancur -Hojbjerg – Perisic

Kulusevski – Kane – Son

West Ham

David Moyes’s reluctance to rotate, along with the fact that his team were very unlucky not to come away with anything from the Chelsea game could mean that West Ham go in unchanged against Newcastle in GW7.

Bowen has been a shadow of the player he was last season and on merit should probably be out of the side however Moyes seems reticent to drop him so we can expect the same team to play against Newcastle.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted starters correctly last week)

West Ham GW7 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

West Ham GW7 Predicted lineup:

Fabianski

Coufal – Kehrer – Zouma – Emerson

Rice – Soucek – Paqueta

Bowen – Antonio – Fornals

Wolves

After struggling to score goals, Wolves attempted to address this by signing striker Sasa Kaladjzic. Though he started against Southampton, Wolves’ rotten luck continued as he has now sustained a long-term Achilles injury.

In yet another twist, Wolves attempted to sign Diego Costa but his work permit so their woes up front could be set to continue.

After a string of very subpar performances, Raul Jimenez was dropped and that should continue to be the case. Podence also came in for Guedes who I’d expect to go back in for the Liverpool match.

Rayan AitNouri also came in for Jonny, to continue Bruno Lage’s insistence on rotating fullbacks. It’s almost impossible to say who drops out this week with any conviction but I’m going to hazard a guess at it being Semedo.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Wolves GW7 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Wolves GW7 Predicted lineup:

Sa

Jonny – Kilman – Collins – AitNouri

Neves – Nunes – Moutinho

Guedes – Podence – Neto

As we said when predicting the GW6 lineups, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have. Article penned by @FPLHindsight(Drop him a follow on Twitter)
