FPL GW6 proved to be a low-scoring one and a lot of managers want to wildcard and move away from the big at-the-back strategy. With Champions League and Europa league beginning after GW6, there will be rotation for key players among players from the Top 6 sides. As always playing your Wildcard is team dependent and in this blog, we take a look at the best wildcard drafts if you’re wildcarding in FPL GW7

FPL GW7 Wildcard Guide
Do check out this fixture which should give a bird eye’s view of fixtures from GW7-GW16 that should help you find the teams and players to target on GW7 Wildcard.
- Manchester City and Liverpool have a tough run of fixtures going ahead and also play every midweek from now till GW16 which means their players will be surely rotated during this run.
- Chelsea and Manchester United(till GW11) have good run of fixtures among Big 6 sides which means the template could be moved from Triple City and Liverpool to a couple of Chelsea and United players.
- Arsenal have two good games up next(vs Everton, Brentford) but go through a tough run where they face City, Liverpool and Spurs in 3/4 GWs after that.
- West Ham have an amazing run of fixtures from now but they are involved in Europa Conference League which should be kept in mind.
- Among non-European teams- Newcastle, Fulham, Brentford, Forest, Leicester(only attackers to consider) have some good fixtures and should be in our thoughts while picking a FPL GW7 Wildcard team
Pros of playing Wildcard in FPL GW7:
- Breaking away from Template ahead of the curve when most teams will Wildcard in GW8/GW9.
- Pick more players from Non-European sides like Trippier, Zaha, Mitrovic, Isak, etc who are quality players and are also rotation free.
- Change the structure of the squad from “Big at the back” to “Three Forwards” directly without taking hits.
- Could improve the Team Value with certain picks.
- Chance to go with a strong bench(14/15 playable players) as there will be rotation in the coming days.
Cons of Playing Wildcard in FPL GW7:
- Dilemma on whether to go for highly owned Arsenal assets like Jesus and Martinelli who have two good fixtures but run through a difficult run from GW9.
- If you are going without Salah and TAA, it could heavily backfire due to High EO if they fire in GW7 vs Wolves.
- GW9 Wildcard teams will have more injury clarity and rotation after the International break.
FPL GW7 Wildcard Drafts
FPL GW7 Wildcard Draft 1
Key notes about the Draft
- No Salah and TAA Draft which is slightly risky(particularly for GW7), but there is value elsewhere to build a squad of 15 good players who can be rotated based on fixtures.
- Liverpool have been leaky, but Alisson is always among save and bonus point when Liverpool keep a clean sheet. Pope, Henderson, Pickford are good alternate options if you don’t want to spend much on GKs.
- Mitrovic is a different beast this season and has amazing fixtures from GW8.
- Good Differential options in Bowen, Zaha, Coufal and Isak.
- Martinelli has two good fixtures till GW8 and can be moved to another midfielder around that time.
- Cancelo and James are covered among the template picks who are fixture proof and should provide attacking returns even if they drop clean sheet.
- Dunk is a good one week punt for GW7 as Brighton blank in GW8. Dunk can be replaced by Dalot/Andersen or any other 4.5 defender if you don’t want a one week punt.

FPL GW7 Wildcard Draft 2
Key notes about the Draft
- Safer Wildcard draft with Salah and TAA. Salah can be removed after GW7 to Son(GW8 vs Leicester) and then to De Bruyne for the longer run.
- Jesus is already owned by 77.6% managers and the safer move would be own him for next 2 weeks before going to Isak when the fixtures swing for Jesus.
- Rashford is a good alternative to Martinelli if you are willing to take the risk.
- Double up on Newcastle defense with Pope and Trippier. They look solid at the back and have great fixtures on the run.
- Brighton Double up in Dunk and Gross who are flying high at the moment.
