Spurs vs Newcastle, West Ham vs Everton Stats Table
West Ham vs Everton
Everton were not too bad and well in the game against a quality West Ham side before a poor giveaway from Micheal Keane cost them a goal and he followed that up with a second yellow card not too much after thus effectively swaying the game heavily in West Ham’s favour.
Richarlison (7.5m, FWD) looked threatening all game and punters could consider themselves a bit unfortunate that he didn’t get himself on the scoresheet. He had 5 shots, all from inside the box and created 1 chance for an xGI of 0.61.
Demarai Gray (5.5m, MID) started and produced 2 shots, none from inside the box and created 2 chances for an xGI of 0.26.
Antonio (7.5m, FWD) put in a great shift. He was dangerous all game and worked tirelessly for his side. He had 3 shots, all from inside the box including 2 big chances, and also created 3 chances for an xG of 0.84, xA of 0.22 giving him a game-high xGI of 1.06.
Jarrod Bowen (6.8m, MID) returned to fitness to start and brought in a double-digit haul. He had 2 shots, and 1 ‘big chance’ from inside the box, and created 1 chance for an xGI of 0.54.
Said Benrahma (5.9m, MID) also had 2 shots but none from inside the box and created 1 ‘big chance’ for an xGI of 0.45.
Spurs vs Newcastle
In the second Sunday game, Spurs fought back from a goal down to demolish a Newcastle side that had been in resurgence. A Gameweek that had disappointed for the most part up until now exploded in big swings as popular Spurs’ fantasy assets returned well in this game – for the most part.
Heung-Min Son (10.9m, MID) seems to be electric in home games for Spurs this season. Following on from large sections of FPL managers moving him out to accommodate an on-fire Harry Kane, Son has now brought in 27 points in his last 2 games. He had 4 shots, 3 from inside the box including 2 big chances, created 5 chances including 1 big chance for a mammoth xGI of 1.1 on the day.
Harry Kane (12.5m, FWD) may have underwhelmed with a 4-point return but his all-around ability was on display here too as he managed 5 shots, 3 from inside the box, and created 3 chances including 2 big chances for an xGI of 0.62.
Another popular asset of late that’s likely to have caused the biggest swing in fortunes this week, Matt Doherty (4.8m, DEF) had 1 shot, a big chance in the box for an xG of 0.43. He brought in 14 points for owners in an otherwise rough week!
Dejan Kulusevski (6.3m, MID) continues to impress since his January arrival. The Swede created 4 chances including 1 ‘big chance’ for an xA of 0.51.
Newcastle struggled despite taking the lead via a Fabian Schar free kick in a game that had been pretty even up until that point.
Joe Willock (5.7m, MID) was their only player to breach the 0.2 xGI threshold to make the stat table on the day – he had 2 shots, both from inside the box for a respectable xG of 0.27.
