Best FPL GW33 Free Hit Drafts to Consider | Free Hit Guide

FPL GW33 sees seven teams double and three teams blank, naturally making it a good time to free hit. In this blog, we share the pros and cons of free hitting in FPL GW33 and a couple of different FPL GW33 free hit drafts that will give you a birds-eye view of the different drafts that you can arrive at for your FPL team. We have also added pros and cons of each draft to help you make a better decision with your FPL GW33 free hit team.

FPL GW33 Free Hit

Pros of Free Hitting in GW33:

• You can target players from Manchester United and Newcastle for the Double Gameweek, whom you won’t require in the long run due to tough fixtures.
• Could be useful if you have many players from Villa, Wolves, and Leeds. All three teams blank in GW33.

Cons of Free Hitting in GW33:

• Spurs, Manchester City, and Liverpool all have very good Single Gameweek fixtures against Brighton and Manchester United. There are chances that premium assets from these City outscore the Double Gameweek players from your team.
• Would be a bit of a gamble(upside and downside) to play the Free Hit in GW33 as many teams who double in GW33 are inconsistent/not in good form- Manchester United, Newcastle, Burnley, Southampton, Brighton. Leicester assets could be rotated and you would already have 2-3 Arsenal players in your team.
• Free Hit can be used in Double Gameweeks GW36/GW37 when more Premium/consistent players play.

FPL GW33 Free Hit Drafts

FPL GW33 Free Hit draft one

Bruno plus Ronaldo Draft along with Kane as the other premium. TAA in defence for one of the premium defender spot.

Pros of the above free hit draft:

• Well balanced with double game week players. 9 doublers in total!
• Double up on Bruno and Ronaldo who play home to Norwich, a fixture hard to ignore. Norwich highest xGC(33) conceded away from home this season and third-most goals conceded away from home(32)
• Triple up on Newcastle who have two good home fixtures against Leicester and Palace. Newcastle have struggled away from home this season but have been consistent in front of their fans at St James Park.

Cons of the above free hit draft:

• Man United have been poor for a while and a triple up of Bruno, Sancho and Ronaldo could backfire.
• Few good single gameweek options including Son and Man City attackers missed.

FPL GW33 Free Hit draft two

The four premium draft with Bruno, Ronaldo, Son and Kane.

Pros of the above free hit draft:

• Double up on Man United, good single gameweek options in Son and Kane.
• Differential defenders with attacking returns potential in Justin, Schar, and Telles(Shaw is out for a while)
• Differential Southampton Double up in Ward Prowse and Adams which has a very good upside.

Cons of the above free hit draft:

• Again, Man United double up could backfire.
• No premium defenders like TAA, Robbo, or Cancelo.

FPL GW33 Free Hit draft three

Kane plus Son and Ronaldo plus Fernandes draft

Pros of the above free hit draft:

• Double up on Kane and Son who are two of the in-form FPL assets even though it’s a single gameweek.
• Ronaldo & Fernandes as the double gameweek options from Man United.
• Cancelo taking a premium defender spot in defence.
• Decent midfield options in Martinelli, Maddison.

Cons of the above free hit draft:

• Three premium single gameweek options in Son, Kane and Cancelo
• Third striker spot on Broja who has not scored in a while.
• Rotation risk for Maddison.

FPL GW33 Free Hit draft four

Pros of the above free hit draft:

• Both TAA and Cancelo in defence
• A premium each from Man City and Spurs. Two premiums from United.
• Double up on Newcastle

Cons of the above free hit draft:

• Big bucks on TAA and Cancelo who both have just one game.
• Five midfielders could be a stretch(with sgw players like kulusevski and maddison could be rotated)

Double Man United mids plus Salah and Kane draft

Pros of the above free hit draft:

• Two Man United midfielders in Bruno and Sancho
• Owning Salah ensures the safer route with most non-free hitters holding Salah.
• No major double-ups on any other team except United.

Cons of the above free hit draft:

• Defence looks weak with just Cancelo as the premium option
• Weak bench
