Best FPL DGW26 Wildcard Draft Ahead of FPL Gameweek 26 Deadline

With the announcements of Double Gameweeks in GW28 and GW29, it is indeed a great startegy to Wildcard in GW26, if you have 2 Free hits left and use one Free Hit in GW27. In this article, we look at the best wildcard team for GW26 which will help you set up for Double Gameweeks 28 and 29 and also the Blank Gameweek 30.

DGW26 Wildcard team:

DGW26 Wildcard team:
  • 10 Double Gameweek Players.
  • 1 Single Gameweek Player
  • Liverpool and Arsenal Triple up.

Pros of the above GW26 Wildcard Draft:

  • Attacking the Doubles in GW26, GW28 and GW29 and managing the blank in GW30 without hits.
  • 10 Double Gameweek players in GW26 and Coutinho against Watford.
  • Bench Boost in GW28 with 8 Double Gameweek players and 7 Good Single Gameweek players without doing any transfers- Ramsdale, White, Saka vs Watford; Salah, Trent and Van Dijk against West Ham; Son vs Everton.
  • 8 Double Gameweek players in GW29 and Triple Captain Salah without doing any transfers
  • 8/9 players confirmed for Blank Gameweek 30– Ramsdale, White, Saka, Coutinho, Digne, Raphinha, Jimenez, Kilman, Broja(If Southampton lose to West Ham in FA Cup). Can use the free transfers to bring in Leicester players (Maddison) for GW30 as they have a game in GW30 and 3 fixtures yet to be rescheduled.
  • No planned transfers. Can use the transfers for injuries and new announcements.

Cons of the above GW26 Wildcard Draft:

  • Not able to Triple Captain Salah in GW26.
  • Difficult strategy to implement if you have only one Free Hit.
  • No Bowen and Cancelo- Higher Owned Single Gameweek players.

    1. There’s just one thing. Why Raphinha? Leeds have been bad and Raphinha was substituted off last match at halftime. I think I’m going with Bowen instead of Raphinha in GW26. He’s in hot form. Maybe in GW28 I might get Raph or someone else, as West Ham play Liverpool. We’ll see. I have 0.6 more money than you and we have ability to make transfers. Anyway, GREAT template to fix your own choices around. Cheers!
