The Premier League is back with Gameweek 6 after the midweek Carabao Cup installations. With the Premier League, the cutoff time for FPL is likewise drawing nearer. FPL Managers are preparing with their crew subsequent to making the exchanges and utilizing the special case. This time, the cutoff time is on the standard Saturday cutoff time. Let’s go through GW 6 fixtures before jumping into the article where we’ll be looking at the Top 5 Budget Midfielders for FPL GW6 and Beyond. Link to all our FPL Gameweek 6 blogs.
FPL GW6 Fixtures:
The next six fixtures of the players are discussed below:
Top 5 Mid Priced Midfielders Analysis for FPL GW6
5. Abdoulaye Doucouré (£5.5)
Playing Position: CM
Appearances (starts): 5 (5)
Minutes per game: 90
⚽️ 1 goals 🅰️ 3 assists
Per game: 👟 1.6 shots 🔑 1.0 KPs
🎨 1 big chances created
Doucoure is only owned by 3.2% of managers and obviously can make your Ronaldo option open even a doubling up or rather tripling up premiums with the likes of Ronaldo, Salah, and Lukaku especially with Chelsea fixture swing from GW 7. The reason being, I’m rating Doucoure ahead of Grey is that there might be a possibility of Grey starting from the bench from the next gameweeks when the likes of Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison all become available. After that outstanding performance from Andy Townsend against Burnley, I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t start in the right-wing. Doucoure has a goal-scoring habit and likes to come towards the end product. He can be very influential during the build-up by threading in some really good through balls and he comes lively during a set piece situation as well due to his aerial strength.
4. Bryan Mbeumo (£5.5)
Playing Position: CF
Appearances (starts): 5 (5)
Minutes per game: 85
⚽️ 1 goals 🅰️ 0 assists
Per game: 👟 2.4 shots 🔑 1.4 KPs
🎨 0 big chances created
Mbeumo plays very high up the pitch even higher than Ivan Toney which certainly makes him a very interesting FPL pick. Brentford are a very interesting team this season and lot of things to talk about but Mbeumo literally poses some threat to Toney owners and the link-up between the pair is exceptional, the cons of this Brentford team is that they haven’t faced any top 6 clubs as of yet so their match against Liverpool will bring out the best judgement of the group. In my feelings, Mbeumo will start every game for Thomas Frank and Brentford, he’s pretty nailed on and the position he plays at will definitely bring some return to his owners.
Brentford definitely have some red fixtures ahead but I only see the toughest game among them is Liverpool (home) in GW 6 and Chelsea (home) in GW 8, the remaining of West Ham (away) and Leicester City (home) are average and grey coloured fixtures considering the form they’re in. From gameweek 10 Brentford have a fixture swing and he’ll be a steal at his price tag.
The FPL Citizen gives us a more detailed look on Mbeumo and other £5.5m midfielder in this thread.
3. Ismaïla Sarr (£6.1)
Playing Position: RW
Appearances (starts): 5 (5)
Minutes per game: 90
⚽️ 3 goals 🅰️ 0 assists
Per game: 👟 2.6 shots 🔑 1.8 KPs
🎨 0 big chances created
Sarr at £6.1 is really a good Ferran Torres, Diogo Jota, and Greenwood replacement if you’re worried about their game time going into the season, Sarr owned by 9.2% of managers started every game and the manager highly relies on the Senegalese. Sarr has impressed his owners in the game against Norwich, the fixtures of Watford are spread out nicely which makes Sarr really a very good choice.
Watford against Newcastle is a very tempting fixture for Sarr. Newcastle is ranked 2nd in the worst defense list. Sarr down the Right-Wing channel will open up spaces for him which he can certainly exploit which also makes King a really great option as a forward pick but he’s not a ball carrier so I would prefer Sarr over King because of the crosses that he would put in which might open up his account in the bonus point as well, not to forget Sarr will take the penalties for Watford after Deeney’s departure.

2. Conor Gallagher (£5.6)
Playing Position: RW
Appearances (starts): 4 (4)
Minutes per game: 90
⚽️ 2 goals 🅰️ 1 assists
Per game: 👟 2.5 shots 🔑 1.8 KPs
🎨 2 big chances created
The Chelsea loanee has delivered back-to-back star performances until the Liverpool game, he has certainly shown the impact and the influence he posses in the game for his team. It will be unfair to say that he had a poor game against Liverpool despite blanking, he had a pretty good game with a Sofascore rating of 6.6 with 2 key passes, 4 accurate long balls, and 3 accurate crosses. He definitely created chances but they couldn’t convert them into the scoresheet.
The next 3 fixtures for Palace are Brighton (home), Leicester (home) and Arsenal (away) which are grey ones for me according to the form these teams are in, Brighton is the toughest among them but still, Palace are going to show a strong display of football and are likely to score. According to Drafthound, Brighton have 36% and Palace have a 33% odds of having a clean sheet.

1. Saïd Benrahma (£6.5)
Playing Position: AM
Appearances (starts): 5 (5)
Minutes per game: 83
⚽️ 3 goals 🅰️ 2 assists
Per game: 👟 2.2 shots 🔑 1.4 KPs
🎨 2 big chances created
The Algerian winger has thrice hit the twofold digits in five FPL gameweeks, having a special interest in him is an absolute necessity. With the Hammers going to Leeds where the home side is yet to hit the step, odds are that Benrahma is likely to contribute with some points with an assist or a goal. West Ham have a very good fixture ahead as they face Leeds (away), Brentford (home), and Everton (home) for the next 3 games. Odds definitely favors West Hame to win all these three games with Benrahma scoring or assisting in each of these 3 games. His price has already risen from 6m to 6.5m and it will go up more and more if he continues to perform like this. According to Drafthound, Benrahma has a 23% odd of scoring against Leeds and will also get more minutes than Antonio. He is 3rd on the list of points scoring fpl assets after GW 5 with 39 pts.
The above stat shows how important it is to have both of them in your team with the form they’ve shown until now. Benramha is slightly costlier than Sarr but you can’t ignore a single one out of this mid-field battle equation.
