Best Differentials for the Opening Gameweeks in Gaffr

If you haven’t already be sure to sign up and register your team at Gaffr.io, you will not regret it! As gameweek 1 gets ever closer I’ll be looking into some of the best gaffr differentials in my opinion to consider for the start of the new championship season. I will look at the player’s price, fixtures, stats, and qualities.

Best Gaffr Championship Fantasy Differentials for the Opening Gameweeks

Mark Travers (Goalkeeper)

The Bournemouth goalkeeper is priced very nicely at 5m and at first glance, I think he could be a very good and consistent asset at this price. Due to the departure of Begovic, it is looking more likely that Travers will be the first choice this season and it doesn’t look like Bournemouth are in any rush to purchase a new number one. If all goes to plan Travers is a cheap and nailed asset in this Bournemouth side. In their first four games of the season, they face West Brom, Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, and Blackpool. I don’t expect these teams to score many goals this season, as a result, it gives Travers plenty of clean sheet potential early on. Bournemouth registered 16 clean sheets last season and with Scott Parker now in charge I expect the cherries to be even more solid at the back this season which could mean more clean sheets for Travers.

Gaffr Differentials ~ Defender

Scott Malone (Defender)

The Millwall wingback is priced at 6.5m and rightly so due to the potential he has. Just like we saw last season expect Malone to be very attacking down the left-hand side where he has a lot of potential for attacking returns. Surprisingly I haven’t seen Malone in many drafts at all. This could be because of some tricky-looking fixtures as Millwall face QPR, Blackburn, Fulham, and Cardiff in their opening four fixtures. However, I still see Malone picking up a few returns in some of these games! Millwall kept 17 clean sheets last season which was the joint third-best in the championship and I expect more of the same this season as I don’t think they will change how they play too much. Malone registered a very impressive five goals and two assists last season and he was also very good for bonus points especially towards the end of the season. As a result, I expect more of the same from Malone this season. Are you tempted to start with Malone from the start?

Gaffr Differentials ~ Midfielder

Chris Willock (Midfielder)

The QPR midfielder has been priced at just 6m this season. I expect Willock to play in an attacking midfield position and to be involved in a lot of the attacks for QPR this season. I really think he will kick on this season and prove to be a decent asset in the game. In addition, QPR have some appealing opening fixtures as they play Millwall, Hull, Middlesbrough, and Barnsley in their first four. In my opinion, I think QPR will score quite a few goals early on and have a solid start to the season. Willock returned three goals and five assists last season. The fact that QPR had a very impressive second half of the season last season makes them very appealing this season. If they can gain more consistency I think they have a great chance of potentially getting into the playoffs this season or thereabouts!

Gaffr Differentials ~ Forward

Elijah Adebayo (Forward)

The Luton striker has been priced at 6m to start off the season. I expect Adebayo to be the main man up top throughout the season after Collins has left the club. Potentially he could really kick on this season knowing he is the main man up front. The opening fixtures for Luton don’t look too bad at all as they face Peterborough, West Brom, Barnsley, and Birmingham in their first four fixtures. I see potential for Adebayo to potentially get on the score sheet in a couple of these games. There are high hopes for Luton this season as they have made a couple of decent signings and look like they are comfortable in this league now. Adebayo returned five goals and one assist last season in just eighteen appearances and there is a good chance that he will be on penalty duty this season which increases his appeal.

Overall, I like the look of these differentials and they could help you gain an advantage early on as I haven’t seen these players included in many of the community’s drafts. With the season kicking off next week there isn’t a lot of time to tinker and plan your team so make sure you register now to be a part of this great community and get involved in this amazing fantasy game which has been created.
