Euro Fantasy | Matchday Three Fixtures to Target For Attacking Returns

After covering MD 1’s best fixtures I’m back, after unfortunately missing a week, to present to you the games to target for clean sheets and attacking returns in matchday three. My analysis and preview on each of the games and an additional segment of player to target.

Matchday Three Fixtures to Target For Attacking Returns

All odds were taken from Draft Hound.

Games with the biggest win odd margins:

1. Hungary vs Germany, Germany 83% to win
2. Spain vs Slovakia, Spain 82% to win
3. Finland vs Belgium & North Macedonia VS Netherlands, Ned and Eng 75% to win

Games with the biggest odds for over 2.5 goals:

1. Hungary vs Germany, 69% chance
2. Spain vs Slovakia, 64%chance
3. Switzerland vs Turkey, 58% chance

Teams with the biggest chance of clean sheets:

1.Spain & Belgium, 60% chance
2. Italy, 56% chance
3. Germany, 55% chance

Hungary vs Germany game:

Matchday Three Serge Gnarby

Let’s start with the standout game of the matchday. Keep in mind that I am writing this before the Portugal-Germany game but, no matter the outcome of that game, the Germans will have to win this game in order to qualify after losing the opening game.

After having played their first two games at home (in Munich), Joachim Low’s men have to travel to Budapest for this decisive game. The fact that they are the team most favoured to win their MD 3 game, to have + 2.5 goals in the match and with a great chance of clean sheet, means that their assets are the ones to buy. In my opinion, if you are using a chip, a triple up is utterly necessary.

Top Picks:

1. Gnabry
2. Gosen
3.Muller

Finland vs Belgium:

Matchday Three Eden Hazard

Belgium started off this tournament marvellously with 2 wins in their 2 opening games. The last of these wins saw them turn the game around with the help of a KDB second-half masterclass against an impressive Denmark side. These 3 points meant that Belgium are already qualified for the knockout stage and they just need to not lose against Finland to top the group. A lot of rotation is expected throughout the team but I expect the man city maestro to start in order to gain rhythm so Kevin De Bruyne is my top pick for this game.

Top Picks:

1. KDB
2. Denayer
3. Batshuayi

Slovakia vs Spain:

Matchday Three Gerrard Moreno

La Roja is top of the table for CS odds in this matchday but if they fail to beat Poland today, this will be a knockout game. This is a good fixture for Spain but their instability in terms of lineups makes me want to stay away from the attacking assets. Will Torres or Olmo play? Moreno or Morata? This Saturday’s game might answer some of my questions but for now, I’m at least thinking of targeting their defence. Keep in mind, Spain will have support from the stands since they play at home.

Top Picks:

1. Moreno
2. Alba / Pau Torres
3. Olmo

North Macedonia vs Netherlands:

Dumfries Matchday Three

The Dutch qualified for the knockout stage last Thursday and, as it stands, they are the nation most likely to top their group but De Boer’s recent press conferences tell us there won’t be a lot of rotation in their next game as they feel they need to continue their adaption to the 5-3-2 formation that they have been using. Clear favorites for this game and we always expect them to score goals. Don’t be afraid of getting their players!

Top Picks:

1.Dumfries
2. Malen
3.Depay

Other games :

My favourite picks from the remaining games are Embolo against an underwhelming Turkey side, in a game with the 3rd highest chance to have 2.5 + goals. Swedish wonderkid, Isak has the potential to cause trouble to the polish defence. I fancy Denmark to win vs Russia and qualify so I’m in favour of getting the likes of Mahele or Kjaer. Finally, I’d like to add that we, once again, don’t need to worry about the Italy lineup since we are going to get it before the deadline.
