FPL DGW25 Differential picks to consider ahead of FPL GW25 Deadline

FPL GW25 marks the beginning of Double Gameweeks with Southampton and Leeds as the two teams with two fixtures for GW25. Leeds play Wolves and Southampton whereas Southampton play Chelsea and Leeds. This might be the right time to take risks and push forward with Double Gameweeks coming thick and fast. Lower owned budget players have been shining off late and it looks like the trend will continue. If you are looking to make giant strides and want to catch up big ranks, check out our Differential Picks(<10% TSB) and ultra- differential picks(<1% TSB) for FPL GW25.

FPL GW25 Differential Picks:

Lewis Dunk vs Crystal Palace(H), TSB: 4.8% £6.0

Lewis Dunk FPL GW25 Differentials pick
Lewis Dunk could be dangerous in set pieces

Brighton have really stepped up their defensive game in the last few weeks with 5 cleansheets from the last 6 games. The clean sheets are also no fluke which is backed by some brilliant numbers- Least Goals conceded(1), 2nd least big chances conceded(4), 2nd least shots on target conceded(18) in the league since GW19. Their opponents in FPL GW25, Crystal Palace are in very poor attacking form- Worst xG(3.70), Least Big chances(4) in the league since GW19.

Not only that, Palace have the tendency to concede from set pieces and Dunk could be the perfect aerial threat. In fact, Crystal Palace have conceded the most shots from headers(48) since GW10. Brighton do have good fixtures to look forward to and a game against struggling Newcastle in Blank Gameweek 29 is an added bonus.

Dunk- Stat Attack

  • Attacking numbers- Most Big Chances(3), Best xG(2.46), Most Goals(3), Most shots inside the box(15), 2nd most shots(16) among defenders since GW10
  • 43 points from the last 6 games averaging 7.16 points/game.

Raphinha vs Wolves(A), Southampton(H), TSB: 5.2%, £5.4

Raphinha FPL GW25 Differential picks
Raphinha- A must own for FPL GW25

Raphinha has been in brilliant form over the last few weeks returning in all of his last 5 games with 2 goals, 4 assists to get 38 points averaging 7.6 points per game. Raphinha has 38 points during this period which is the second highest in the league, only behind Gundogan(57). Surprisingly he is a still a differential with just 5.2% TSB despite having a double in GW25 and not blanking in GW29. Should be a must own ahead of the double!

Key Stats: Raphinha has 4 assists since GW20 which is the joint highest in the league. He also has the most shots on target(7) among midfielders during this period.

Leeds and Southampton both have Double Gameweeks in FPL GW25. Raphinha, Harrison and Ward Prowse all fall under the cheap midfielder differential category(<10% TSB). If you are to choose one among them, then it surely has to be Raphinha backed up the below numbers!

Raphinha(5.4) vs Harrison(5.4) vs Ward Prowse(6.0) Numbers(Since GW9):

  • Matches- 15 vs 15 vs 15
  • Shots- 40 vs 24 vs 14
  • Shots inside the box- 27 vs 19 vs 2
  • Big chances- 3 vs 6 vs 0
  • Goals- 4 vs 5 vs 2
  • xG- 3.96 vs 3.42 vs 1.06

Luke Shaw vs Newcastle United(H), TSB: 7.8%, £5.0

Luke Shaw FPL GW25 Differential Pick
Luke Shaw in sizzling form

Manchester United been improving steadily defensively. The Red Devils have kept 5 clean sheets since GW16 which is joint 2nd highest. Luke Shaw in his last six appearances has accumulated an xA of 2.35, which is more than any other defender in that time and 4th highest overall. He has converted this xA numbers into 4 assists(highest) during this time which is levelled only Bernado and Raphinha. Likewise, Shaw has made 26 key passes bettered only Mason Mount who has 29 key passes to his name during the period. He could definitely be a great option if you are wildcarding in GW26 and need a defender just for this week.

Harvy Barnes vs Aston Villa (A), TSB: 7.9%

Harvey Barnes looked to have got his breakthrough season with 8 goals,4 assists already. But the thing to be noted is he has got 5 goals, 3 assists have come since GW15 which highlights his huge potential in the coming weeks. Barnes has the most goals(5), 3rd most shots(26), 3rd for shots on target(11) and 3rd highest points among midfielders since GW15. At 6.8 he is still one of the best value for money options in the game and is a serious threat due to Leicester’s counter-attacking style of play.

Leicester City have great fixtures to look forward to with as they have only one game with FDR > 3(City in GW30) until GW36. Added bonus is that Leicester are most likely to have a Double in GW26 playing Arsenal and Burnley.

Ricardo Pereira(5.9) could also be a ultra-differential pick at just 0.5% TSB. Leicester have 4 clean sheets from the last 7 games. With Justin ruled out for along time, maybe it’s time to go back to good old Pereira days.

Ultra Differential Picks for FPL GW25(<1 % TSB):

Josh Maja vs Sheffield United (H), TSB:0.5%, £5.5

Maja FPL GW25 Differential
Maja

Maja had the most big chances(3), best nPxG(1.4) in GW24 and turned out to be the surprise package. Fulham have heavily under performed their xG this season converting just 20 goals with an xG of 30.90. This is mainly due to poor quality finishing in the final third. Maja looks to have fixed that. He is up against a Sheffield side who have had 1 clean sheet (Lowest) this season.

Minamino vs Chelsea(H), Leeds(A), TSB: 0.4%, £6.0

Southampton still have the possibility of triple double- Three Double Gameweeks in GW25, GW26, GW27. If you are looking to make big strides in your mini-leagues, Minamino could be the perfect ultra-differential pick at just 0.4% TSB. He surely wants to prove a point during his loan spell. He got a goal in his debut game vs Newcastle in GW23 and would surely look to add more!
