AllAbout Promoted Teams

The Premier league is more than just a league. It is a year long festival of football filled with superstars from all around the world. For an FPL manager it is natural to want as many superstars as possible. Problem is, the budget. You can’t have a team of Kane, Salah, Aubamayang, Robertson etc without disrupting the balance of the team. Which is why the proper knowledge of newly promoted teams is absolutely necessary. Almost all the players are relatively unknown quantity and hence they have a very cheap price tag. Having the right players from these newly promoted teams will help bring balance to the team and also accommodate more big players. So, let’s learn AllAboutPromotedTeams!

NORWICH CITY

1.Max Aarons(4.5) :

The young Championship POTY Max Aarons is Norwich’s first choice right back. Norwich were the Champions of the English second division last season and are hoping to stay up through their attacking football. Aarons could provide attacking returns. With few difficult matches in the first few game weeks it is safe to rotate him out with another 4.5 million defender. The 19 year old right back is touted to be the next Kyle Walker and is already on the radar of many big teams and should be on your team inspite of the initial first five fixtures. Do not expect big clean sheets points from Aarons but sure he will get you good attacking returns for 4.5M.

2. Teemu Pukki (6.5) :

Teemu Pukki has been one of the standout players in the Championship last season.The forward has an astonishing 27 goals and nine assists last season helping the Canaries for promotion to the Premier League. Going by the Norwich’s attacking style of play, Pukki is expected to rack up double digit goals this season also even if they don’t set the PL on fire from the word go!

ASTON VILLA

1.Tom Heaton(4.5) :

Aston Villa completed their 12th signing of the summer by getting goal keeper Tom Heaton from Burnley for 8 million.He is not new to Premier League, perhaps not too new for United fans 😛 .He has Premier League experience and is always a good pick for for the second keeper slot at just 4.5.

2.Matt Targett(4.5) :

Aston Villa has the kindest of the fixtures in the first ten game weeks compared to other promoted teams. Perhaps you could even start Targett in your playing 11 after their GW1 clash against Tottenham. Having played second fiddle to Ryan Bertrand at Southmapton, Targett is also set to write a story of his own at Villa Park!

3.John McGinn(5.5) :

John McGinn had a brilliant season at Villa Park which made him win Aston Villa’s Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the season. He scored seven goals, set up nine last season and also scored the crucial winner in the Championship Play off game to put Aston Villa back in Premier league after three years. For just 5.5, McGinn is surely value for money who could get you those differential points!

Sheffield United

  1. Jack O’Connell (4.5)

Sheffield united got promoted to the premier league thanks to their impeccable defensive records in the championship. Most famously they managed to keep 8 consecutive clean sheets at the beginning of 2019. Chris Wilder plays with a 3-5-2 formation and at the heart of the defense is Jack O’Connelly. He was influential for Sheffield last season having more than 4000 minutes under his belt for the club. He also managed to get 3 goals and 3 assists in the process.

2. John Lundstram (4.0)

Partnering Jack in the center back could very well be the 4 million FPL prospects, John Lundstram. He has had good minuted in the pre season and has been backed by his manager publicly to get game time this season. What is really tempting about Lundstarm is his price tag of 4 million and most FPL managers have trusted him so far as he is the most owned Sheffield united player as I am writing this article.

3. Olli McBurnie(6.0)

Sheffield are showing ambition and desire to stay and fight for a place in the premier league. As of deadline, Sheffield have signed 10 new players to their current squad. They broke their transfer record for the purchase of the young Scottish forward, Olli McBurnie. Priced at 6 million, McBurnie scored 22 goals and provided 4 assists for Swansea last season. It was this that made Sheffield United spend big and get this player. He is expected to play with another striker up top most likely to be Billy Sharp or McGoldbrick.
