Unbelievably we are now over halfway through the mini-season with five-game weeks down and four to go. In a sense not much has changed since I last wrote… Manchester United are still amazing, Pulisic is still doing his best to be Eden Hazard and Kane is still frustrating the community. Despite this, there is plenty to discuss as we approach the FPL GW35 deadline!
Lesson learnt ~ GW33+ & GW34+
Vardy’s back!
The Premier League’s top scorer Jamie Vardy (£9.8) has returned to form over the last week netting a brace against Crystal Palace and a late equaliser at the Emirates. Against Arsenal he looked like his old self. He got two good chances and scored one goal plus he showed off his creative ability with a wonderful cross for Ihenacho (£5.7).
Up next for the Foxes talisman is a trip to the Vitality to face Bournemouth who, despite earning a point against Spurs, have endured a torrid restart shipping twelve goals in five games. We know that form is crucial for Vardy, when he starts scoring he usually keeps it up!

Golden Boot motivation:
GW34+ was a great week for those who had invested in the Golden Boot race! The top contenders all found themselves in the goals. Going forward it looks a very viable strategy to invest in players going for it. Danny Ings (£7.4) shows no sign of letting up and enjoys three great fixtures to end the season. The aforementioned Vardy will no doubt be desperate to hold onto his lead after missing out the season Leicester won the League. Salah (£12.5) has spoken openly about how important it is to him and appeared to be more selfish than usual in the win against Brighton.
Klopp & Pep ringing the changes:
It appears that Klopp is working his way through his Liverpool team keeping them fresh for the GW36+ clash with Arsenal. It was the turn of Mané (£12.3) and Robertson (£7.0) to sit out in GW34+. Logic would suggest that Salah (£12.5) and Alexander-Arnold (£7.8) will miss out this week.
In terms of Manchester City it’s much more difficult to predict although Guardiola confirmed today that the FA Cup game (in between GW36+ and GW37+) is the team’s priority. After coming off the bench during the 5-0 win against Newcastle Raheem Sterling (£11.7) is the only City attacker I would confidently say gets a start in GW35+.
Because of the uncertainty around team around I think Mané and Sterling are great buys this week. Picking up assets that have already had their rest is a high-upside way of playing the game.
FPL GW35+ Preview:
On paper it promising to be another high scoring one with all the form teams; Chelsea, Man United, Man City & Liverpool enjoying kind fixtures. Leicester’s trip to Bournemouth and West Ham’s visit to Carrie Road look like great match-ups for those on the hunt for differential points.

Physio’s Team for FPL GW35+:
It’s been a very frustrating last couple of gameweeks in all honesty. I’ve lost out on a lot of points by going Rashford over Greenwood and Foster over Pope. Captaincy wise I’ve paid the price of overlooking Bruno Fernandes despite Rashford & KDB picking up singular returns. As a result of this my overall rank has almost doubled, 63K down to 111K.
Still, I’m remaining optimistic! I’m rolling the dice a bit this week and bringing in Vardy for the Bournemouth fixture, Jiménez has blanked three gameweeks running and looks knackered. I’ve also taken out Mahrez after getting two starts out of him and plumped for the rested Sadio Mané, who I’ll captain! I think the Senegalese will be chomping at the bit to get back out on the pitch after Salah went clear of him in the Golden Boot race.
That’s it for this week! Another short turnaround before the GW35+ deadline. Good luck with all your transfer and captaincy decisions. Do drop me a follow on twitter @fpl_physio and let’s continue the discussion over there.
