All 10 Games kickoff at the same time making GW38+ thrilling!
Deadline: Sunday 26/07/2020 4:00 PM GMT

1. Arsenal vs Watford:

FPL GW38+ Arsenal
Auba Haul for one last time this season?

Arsenal take on Watford at the Emirates, with the London side already out of contention for a European place. Whereas Watford have all to play for with the hornet’s hope of staying up in PL lies in their own hands now. Watford have to simply defeat Arsenal and hope Villa and Bournemouth and drop points.

Watford will look to attack and this could bode well for a certain Gabonese forward, Aubameyang(10.9) will look to add to his 20 goal tally and might still have a long shot at the golden boot. Watford have lost five games since the restart and have conceded 17 goals since the restart, only Norwich have conceded more goals since the restart.

Both the arsenal youngsters Saka(4.7) and Nketiah(4.3) are a potential rotational risk. Beyond that, there isn’t any other standout FPL option from this fixture to lookout.

2. Burnley vs Brighton

FPL GW38+ pope
Pope is one step close to the golden glove

There has been the fuzz about doubling/tripling upon Burnley defense for GW38+ and right so. This is very well justified by the fact that they have had 4 CS from last 7 games after the City game. Over this period of time, they have just conceded three goals with a maximum of one per game. They are up against a Brighton side who have scored just 3 goals since GW31+(3rd worst) and have an xG of 6.36(4th worst). Brighton have also conceded the third most shots from set pieces(21) from the last four weeeks.

The team and the manager have opened stated their desire to get the deserved golden glove for Pope and they will do everything possible. Pieters(4.3), Tarkowski(5.5), Pope(5.1) are all great options and Burnley defense double-up is certainly worth it.

3. Chelsea vs Wolves

No stopping Captain America

Chelsea take on an ever-improving Wolves side at Stamford Bridge with a Champions league spot at stake. The Blues just need a draw to get their UCL place, whereas Wolves have already sealed their Europa berth. Christian Pulisic (7.4) aka Captain America is the standout player to watch out from this fixture. Pulisic has returned in 8 of the 9 GW so far scoring 4 goals and raking up 5 assists during the period including a goal and assist against Liverpool in GW37. He came off the bench against Liverpool and would be fresh to make a big impact this time.

Pulisic is the only standout option from attack from both team in a game where goals won’t be a plenty. Wolves have the best xGA(4.92) in the league since restart and have conceded just 4 goals(also the best in the league). Matt Doherty will also look to add to his attacking tally having registered two assists in the last two games.

4. Crystal Palace vs Spurs

Harry Kane FPL GW38+
Is Harry Kane going to rack up goals aplenty again?

First things clear. There are not any attacking options to consider from Spurs other than Kane(10.9) and Son(9.7). Palace are totally a depleted team at the back through injuries to Cahill, Van Aanholt, Tomkins and Sakho. Palace have conceded 12 goals from the last 5 games, 17 from the last seven(both worst in the league) . They have nothing to play for in the last game like they have been since restart which is justified by their points tally- 0 pts from last 7 games.

If you are to pick only one asset from Spurs, it has to Kane(80 mins per big chance) compared to Son(329 mins per big chance) since restart! Kane has surely hit the from with successive braces in last 2 weeks. End season Kane is always a different animal altogether – 3 goals in 2017 GW38, 2 goals in 2018 GW38. He looks to be must own if you free hit in GW38+.

5. Everton vs Bournemouth

Carlo Ancelotti’s everton side have got nothing to play for in their final game of the season and take on Bournemouth side who have a very minimal chances of survival. Eddie Howe’s men need to beat Everton and hope both Watford and Aston Villa lose their respective games to survive.

Richarlison(8.2) scored against Sheffield in GW37 to take his FPL points tally for the season to 163 points from 13 goals and 5 assists and will fancy his chances against the cherries who’ll most likely go all out attack.

Bournemouth have been quite impressive over the last few weeks and scoring goals is the only hope for them to stand any chance of survival, meaning Junior Stanislas(5.8) and Josh King(6.1) could be very good differential options to consider especially if you’re on a free hit.

6. Leicester City vs Manchester United

FPL GW38+ Man Utd
Manchester United

One of the most important fixtures in GW38 with two teams going against each other for a Champions League spot. Man United are currently third one point ahead of Leicester who are fifth with Chelsea in between the two clubs.

Manchester United will look to continue their impressive run since the season restart having scored 20 goals in 8 games, only Man city have scored more. Both Bruno Fernandes(9.1) and Anthony Martial(8.5) have 9 G+A contributions since the restart, the highest in PL since the restart and the united duo will look to add to their tally. Mason Greenwood(4.8) scored against West Ham and could disturb the Leicester defense with his explosive pace and finishing.

Meanwhile Leicester are struggling under Brendan Rodgers since restart having won just 2 of their 8 games since the restart and have scored just 9 goals during the period. injuries to the likes of Ricardo Pereira, Ben Chilwell and suspension to Soyuncu means Leicester are without three out of their four main defenders, which further swings the odds in Man Utd’s favor.

But you cannot ignore Jamie Vardy who is leading the golden boot race with a remarkable 23 goals and is also the highest-scoring FPL forward this season with 209 points. Vardy has scored four goals and assisted three goals out of the 9 goals Leicester have scored since the restart.

Note: Bradon William at 3.9 could be a good enabler if you’re using your Free Hit.

7. Manchester City vs Norwich City

FPL GW38+ Man City
Farwell David Silva

There are hundereds of stats to justify the ‘Best Attack’ vs “Worst Defense’ match up. So, tripling up on City assets seems to be the go-to irrespective of free hit or not. Choosing the right three should make the difference. Our three picks are Sterling, Silva and Mahrez.

David Silva(7.4) is set for his ‘Last Dance’ in the league and is likely to play 90 minutes, on penalties and free kicks in his last game. Silva has 30 points from last 2 starts, 42 points from the last four. Sterling(11.9) is probably the best FPL asset after restart scoring 66 points from the last 6 averaging 11 points per game with starting just 4 games.

Coming to the final City asset, it is not De Bruyne/Foden, but Mahrez. Foden started last game and could be a rotation risk. De Bruyne(10.7) who has the most points(232) may not start against Norwich avoiding injury risks for the crucial CL game despite chasing the assist record. De Bruyne might be the safe option to go with, but Mahrez(8.6) is a good differential and is our pick. He has not started the last two league games, is fresh and would look to end the season a high.

8. Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Trent Alexander Arnold FPL GW38+
Arnold

Newcastle take on newly crowned PL Champions Liverpool in this dead game as both the teams have got nothing to play for. Magpies are suffering from a mini injury crisis ahead of their game against the champions. Liverpool defense could be a good option for GW38 as they are certain to keep a Clean Sheet. TAA(7.7) is pretty much essential with massive points potential at both sides of the pitch in his final game. The Liverpool full-back scored one and assisted another against Chelsea in GW37. Newcastle have the third-worst xGA(14.13) since the restart with only Norwich and Brighton fairing wore one of Salah/Mane could also be a decent shout ahead for GW38. As far as Newcastle are concerned we’ll advise staying off their assets.

9. Southampton vs Sheffield United

Southampton have a much higher xG(9.31) compared to Sheffield United(5.24) over the last 5 games despite playing City and United in the process. Ings(7.6) will look to have a late push for the golden boot. Ings has not scored a goal in only three games since restart which came against City, United and Arsenal. Redmond(6.2), who has returned in the last three games is a good differential along with Armstrong(5.2).

Sheffield defense have been great all season, but it’s not worth to have any of them on free hit as they have nothing to play for. Bertrand(4.8), Walker-Peters(4.4) can be good differentials from defense on Free Hit.

10. West Ham vs Aston Villa

Michail Antonio
Antonio is the man of the moment

David Moyes and his team has pulled it off as the hammers are now safe from relegation and are up against an Aston Villa side who can save themselves on the final day. Antonio(7.1) has the highest xG(7.39) since the restart and is the best option from West Ham. But Villa will put in everything not to concede which might be enough to save themselves.

Villa defense have bounced back remarkably since restart conceding just 10 goals in the process. They have an xGA of 9.05 since restart which is the sixth best in the league.

Vila defense after restart vs before restart: 10 goals from 9 games conceded averaging 1.1 goal conceded/game vs 56 goals conceded from 28 games averaging 2.0 goals conceded/game
