- Jacob Murphy – 1 Assist, 1 Bonus – 6 pts

Top FPL DGW24 Differential Picks(<10% TSB)
Dominik Szoboszlai vs Bournemouth(A), Everton(A), £6.3m, TSB: 2.2%
Szoboszlai has been playing in the No.10 position for Liverpool with Ryan Gravenberch and Mac Allister holding back in midfield. This gives Szoboszlai the license to attack and take up more attacking positions inside the box as well. In his last 4 starts in the league, Szoboszlai has 2 goals, 4 assists and 34 points averaging 8.5 points per game.
Szoboszlai’s underlying numbers have been really excellent. Since GW16, He has a xGI/90 of 0.9 with only Isak and Salah having a better xGI/90 in the entire league during this time. Szoboszlai is also ranked 4th for Shots/90 and 3rd for xG/90 among all players during this time.
Top Players for xGI/90 since GW16(Minimum 400 minutes):
Isak | 1.3 |
Salah | 1.1 |
Szoboszlai | 0.9 |
Madueke | 0.8 |
Haaland | 0.7 |
Szoboszlai vs Gakpo- Per 90 Stats Comparison since GW16:
- Shots- 4.29 vs 2.92
- Shots inside the Box- 3.21 vs 2.04
- Big Chances- 0.86 vs 1.02
- xG- 0.68 vs 0.44
- Big Chances Created- 0.43 vs 0.44
- xA- 0.26 vs 0.27
- xGI- 0.9 vs 0.7
- Goal Involvements- 1.29 vs 1.17
- FPL Points- 7.71 vs 7.73
Szoboszlai has better xG/90, Shots/90, and xGI/90 than Gakpo and also almost matches Gakpo for the creativity underlying numbers. On FPL Points/90 too he matches with Gakpo. We are not saying that Gakpo is a bad pick for this week or that Szoboszlai is better than Gakpo. If you are not able to get to Gakpo or chasing in your mini-league and want a Differential third Liverpool asset for the Double Gameweek, going for Szoboszlai is not the end of the world and could work out really well.
Another good news is that he was rested for the midweek UCL travel to PSV which means that he is likely to start both the games in the Double Gameweek.

Yoane Wissa vs Spurs(H), £6.3m, TSB: 10.5%
Wissa has 2 blanks from the last 2 matches but the real fixture swing for Brentford starts this week. They are playing Tottenham(H), West Ham(A), and Leicester(A) in the next 3 matches which are all good fixtures for Brentford attackers.
Key Stat:
Wissa made his return from a minor injury in GW9 and since then he has had 7 goals, 2 assists from 15 appearances. His underlying data during this time is also good with 7.84 xG and 16 Big Chances- Both bettered only by Haaland and Isak among forwards.
Wissa- Attack Rank in the league over the last 4 Gameweeks:
- Shots- 1st
- Shots inside the box- 1st
- xG- 2nd
- Big Chances- 1st
- xGI- 2nd
Attacking the upcoming fixtures:
Brentford’s upcoming fixtures | Expected Goals Conceded Rank since GW16 | Big Chances Conceded Rank since GW16 | Goals Conceded Rank since GW16 |
GW24 vs Spurs(H) | 17th | 19th | 17th |
GW25 vs West Ham(A) | 15th | 18th | 16th |
GW26 vs Leicester(A) | 18th | 15th | 18th |
As you can see, the next 3 fixtures are against leaky defenses for Brentford. GW24(vs Spurs at home) is a good entry point for Wissa despite having only one fixture. Spurs are under an injury crisis and still don’t have most of their first-team defenders- Romero, Udogie, and Vicario. In the last 7 league games, Spurs have lost 6 games and drawn 1 conceding 18 goals in the process- 2nd highest in the league during this time.

Vitalii Mykolenko vs Leicester(H), Liverpool(H), £4.4m, TSB: 7.1%
Mykolenko is the cheapest and nailed route into the Everton defense for DGW24. What makes Mykolenko a good pick is that Everton have a confirmed fixture in GW29 vs West Ham(H). GW29 is a Blank Gameweek with Teams like Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa and Palace are likely to blank. He could be a handy pick if you are not using the Free Hit chip there.
Everton are always a good defensive side and there is good clean sheet potential in the upcoming game vs Leicester City. Since Moyes took over, Everton have conceded 3.22 xGC from 3 games which is the 5th least among all the Teams in the league during this time.
Least Goals Conceded in the league this season:
- Arsenal, Liverpool -21
- Bournemouth- 26
- Forest, Newcastle- 27
- Everton– 28
Key Stat: Only Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth(All with 5 clean sheets) have more Clean Sheets than Everton(4) at Home this season

Ibrahima Konaté vs Bournemouth(A), Everton(A), £5.2m, TSB: 6.2%
If you’re looking for a budget option for your third Liverpool spot this week then look no further than Konate, at just 5.2 Million he offers excellent value. He has also not traveled for the UCL game midweek along with other senior players and will be fully rested before the first game of the double vs Bournemouth.
Liverpool have conceded the least goals(21), least NPxGA(18.1) & xGC(18.85) so far this season and have kept the most clean sheets(9) as well. The Reds also have the highest odds of clean sheets in DGW24 – 60% vs Bournemouth(A), and 69% vs Everton(A) which are pretty strong odds and bodes well if you’re planning on getting Konate this week.
VVD vs Konate:
Virgil Van Dijk(£6.4m) is 1.2 million more expensive than Konate and in terms of aerial threat, there isn’t a big difference between the duo this season. Both have got one-headed goal each with VVD having 0.64 headed attempts/90 while Konate has registered 0.55 headed attempts/90. VVD has 0.68 shots inside the box/90 and Konate has 0.69 shots inside the box/90. There’s little to justify the 1.2 Million difference between Konate & VVD.

Iliman Ndiaye vs Leicester(H), Liverpool(H), £5.5m, TSB: 3.3%
Ndiaye makes it to the FPL DGW24 Differential Picks ahead of Everton’s double, first things first Nidaye is a nailed attacker having started in all PL games for Everton from GW3-23 and completing 90 minutes in most games.
DCL’s injury meant he took the penalty against Brighton in GW22 and converted it. DCL is not expected back any time soon and this should mean Nidaye will continue to be on penalties for the foreseeable future.
A forward at just 5.5 Million who is nailed to start, on penalty duty, and also has a double makes him a decent choice to consider in our FPL teams this week!
Ndiaye vs Lindstrom Comparison since Moyes too over:
🔹Minutes: 249 vs 163
🔹Shots: 3 vs 2
🔹Big Chances: 2 vs 1
🔹xG: 1.29 vs 0.08
🔹Big Chances Created: 0 vs 3
🔹xA: 0.07 vs 0.69
🔹Goal Involvements: 2 vs 0
Everton’s first game in the double will be against Leicester(H) who haven’t kept a clean sheet since Ruud van Nistelrooy became their manager in GW14(A run of 10 games). All other teams have at least one clean sheet during the period. The Foxes are also 3rd for xGC(19.17) and 4th for goals conceded(22) since RVN became their manager. Their away form under RVN is equally bad having lost all four away games under him conceding 10 goals in the process.
“I’m really pleased with the three points. I’m pleased we are giving the Evertonians something to shout about. There was some really good performances and there’s more to come from Iliman Ndiaye” – David Moyes on Ndiaye after their win over Spurs in GW22

David Moyes vs Leicester(H), Liverpool(H), £0.5m
We have been doing this differentials blog since 2019 and this is the first time we get to have a manager as a differential thanks to the new assistant manager chip introduced by official FPL this season.
Note: Even though Moyes TSB is shown as 24.8%, it is TSB percentage among managers who have the chip active. So the overall TSB of Moyes as Assistant Manager is likely to be less than 10% and is an excellent differential.
Moyes would have got a 19 point haul as an Assistant Manager for Everton’s 1-0 win vs Brighton highlighting the good potential for Table Bonus points.
Why Moyes is a good option as your assistant manager this week?
- He costs only 0.5 Million whereas Slot is priced at 1.5 Million
- Going with Moyes instead of Slot will also allow you to go with triple Liverpool players if you plan to use the assistant manager chip this week.
- Moyes will qualify for table bonus points against Liverpool in what will be the last Merseyside derby in Goodison Park. Had you played the assistant manager chip in GW23(Hypothetically) you would have got 19 points, 10 of those points thanks to the table bonus points which highlights the potential boost of table bonus when you have the AM chip active.
- The last seven Merseyside derby at Goodison park has seen five draws(4 of them 0-0) & one win each for Liverpool & Everton.
- Leicester have kept only one clean sheet all season(GW7) and are defensively woeful under RVN with no defensive reinforcements signed.
- If you have free transfers saved you can move from Moyes to Iraola/Marco Silva in GW25 as well to maximize the returns from the assistant manager chip.
