Best FPL Budget Enablers from FPL GW9

FPL Budget Enablers Goalkeepers

Sam Johnstone

Starting the list of budget enablers is the highest-scoring goalkeeper this season. Owned by 2.5% of managers with a price tag of 4.5 million, Johnstone has averaged 4.8 points per match this season. He has kept 4 clean sheets this season, with a save percentage of 78.7% (fbref.com) and an average of 2.5 saves per 90. While gameweeks 9 and 10 are tough, Johnstone has a flurry of greens from gameweek 11 onwards.

Alphonse Areola

The next player on the list is West Ham’s Alphonse Areola, priced currently at 4.2 million and is a popular pick with an ownership of 34.8%. While Areola has kept only one clean sheet this season, he does average 4.12 saves per 90, which increases the chances of him getting bonus points. He also has a save percentage of 74.6% (fbref.com). His next five fixtures include Aston Villa(A), Everton(H), Brentford(A), Forest(H) and Burnley(A).

FPL Budget Enablers – Defenders

Vladimír Coufal

Starting the list of best budget enabler defenders is West Ham’s Vladimír Coufal. Currently priced at 4.5 million with an ownership of 2.2% and an average rate of 4.1 points per match. He has recorded 4 assists with an xGi of 0.9, 10.25 final third passes per 90, 11 chances, and 2 big chances this season. His next five fixtures include Aston Villa(A), Everton(H), Brentford(A), Forest(H) and Burnley(A).

Micky van de Ven

While my suggestion would be to have either Pedro Porro or Udogie from Tottenham, if you’re looking for a budget enabler you should go for Micky van de Ven. Priced at 4.5 million, he has averaged 4.2 points per match this season and is currently owned by 2.2% of managers. He has kept 3 clean sheets, scored one goal and managed 4 bonus points this season. His next five fixtures look like this: Fulham(H), Crystal Palace(A), Chelsea(H), Wolves(A) and Aston Villa(H).

Gabriel

Arsenal have conceded only 6 goals(Joint lowest in the league) and their xGC of 6.63 is also the second lowest in the League so far this season.

This budget enabler gives you a starting Arsenal defender for just 4.7 million. Gabriel has started the last five games for Arsenal and has averaged 4.4 points per match and currently has an ownership of 12.5%. He has helped keep 3 clean sheets and with good upcoming fixtures which include: Chelsea(A), Sheffield United(H), Newcastle(A), Burnley(H) and Brentford(A).

FPL Budget Enablers – Midfielders

Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer made his first PL start of the season for Chelsea in GW7, and he’s been vital for Chelsea in both the games scoring one goal and picked up two assists. He’s been heavily involved which can be seen from his heatmap vs Burnley below. Palmer’s xGI of 1.44 is more than that of Sterling’s xGI in the last two games(0.54)

Note: He’s currently flagged due to a injury concern during the international break, watch out on updates for his availability.

Palmer also rotates well with a Palace defender(Guehi/Andersen) from GW10 onwards which can be seen below

Pedro Neto

Starting the list of best budger enabler midfielders is someone who has gone under the radar this season, Pedro Neto. Neto is currently priced at 5.7 million with an ownership of 8.7%. He has averaged 5.4 points per match due to his 1 goal and 6 assists this season from an xGi of 4. He creates 2.5 chances per 90 and has created 5 big chances till now. His next few fixtures are: Bournemouth(A), Newcastle(H), Sheffield United(A), Spurs(H) and Fulham(A).

Anthony Gordon

Ward-Prowse has averaged 5.3 points per match, whilst having a price tag of 6.3 million and an ownership of 13.7% attached to him. Dominic Solanke

Starting the last section of this article about budget enablers is Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke. Priced at just 6.4 million with an ownership of 2.8%, Solanke has averaged 4 points per match thanks to his three goals and one assist. He averages 2.25 shots per 90 with 1 of them being on target on average. His next five fixtures are Wolves(H), Burnley(H), Man City(A), Newcastle(H) and Sheffield United(A).

The last budget enabler is Crystal Palace’s Odsonne Edouard. Edouard has averaged 5.1 points per match and currently has four goals to his name.
