With the FPL GW31 Deadline approaching, we look to the Bookmakers and Prediction Models to give us an idea of which teams and players are expected to haul. A lot can be drawn from these probability and prediction models if we are able to break them down. In this article, we will perform the analysis on a team level as well as a player level by taking a deeper look at the FPL GW31 Odds.

FPL GW31 Odds Preview
Teams with Haul Potential in FPL GW31
Man City (62%)
City face a Leicester side that have been on a horrible run of performances so far, which culminated in the sacking of Brendan Rogers. To fill his position, the club has announced the appointment of Dean Smith to take charge of Leicester and try to save them from being relegated. Whether there is a new manager bounce or not, you would still fully expect City to breeze past Leicester, especially since City are in a rich vein of form, coming off a 4-1 win over Southampton and a 3-0 victory against a formidable Bayern Munich side midweek. With Erling Haaland putting the ball at the back of the net for fun, the bookies have given City a 62% chance to score 2 or more goals past a leaky Leicester side which is one of the highest we’ve seen in the Over 2 Goals metrics.

Tottenham (38%) & Liverpool (36%)
Behind City are Tottenham and Liverpool with a 38% chance and a 36% chance respectively. Spurs play Bournemouth at home and they are coming off an impressive win against Brighton over the weekend. The bookies favour them to build on this result and continue pressing on for their quest of a Top 4 finish. As for Liverpool, an inspired performance at Anfield against Arsenal saw them snatch a huge point towards the dying moments of the game and the face Leeds away in GW31. Leeds have always been a side that have never backed down from playing their football, which at times has caused them to concede loads of goals at the back. With Liverpool’s forwards all coming back from injury in time for this game, the likes of Gakpo, Nunez, Jota, Firmino, Salah and even Diaz will prove difficult for Leeds to handle.

Teams Predicted to Keep Clean Sheet in FPL GW31
Man City (55%)
Unsurprisingly, its City at the top of the Clean Sheet Odds, with a 55% chance to clean up against Leicester. Abysmal in attack, Leicester will be up against it this week as they face a City defence that have conceded the least big chances in the league in the last 3 gameweeks. Those looking to replace Chilwell and even Luke Shaw (if the timeline for his recovery is too long), could look to a City defender, though the usual caveats of Pep rotation apply.
Arsenal & Tottenham (45%), Man Utd (42%)
The North London sides Arsenal and Tottenham are up next and bookies have given them a 45% chance of keeping a clean sheet against their respective opponents. An interesting pick for those willing to go different is Pedro Porro from Tottenham who has packed a punch since arriving from Sporting. With good attacking threat and a good chance of a clean sheet, a haul could be incoming. United follow close behind, with a 42% chance of a clean sheet against Forest.

FPL GW31 Predicted Points
Haaland (8.8 Predicted Points)
Well of course, Haaland tops the Predicted Points charts once again. The Machine has been at it throughout the season, breaking records with every game he plays. This week against Leicester, DraftHound has him at 8.8 Predicted Points, and quite frankly, you would expect him to get more than that. Captaincy should be straightforward enough but those who want to go against Haaland, do so at your own peril.
De Bruyne (7.9 Predicted Points) & Kane (7.4 Predicted Points)
De Bruyne has also found his goal scoring touch recently and he’s found some form again after a minor blip in performances. 7.9 Predicted Points for him this week against Leicester is respectable, and very attainable. As for Harry Kane, he’s been the in amongst the goals regardless of Tottenham’s performances which is great from an FPL perspective. He’s coming off scoring the winner against Brighton and has 7.4 Predicted Points to his name in GW31.
