Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks

Moises Caicedo vs Manchester United(A) – £5.6 Midfielder – 8.8 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks- Caicedo
  • Caicedo has been somewhat of an attacking revelation this season. He has scored 2 Goals already this season. Last 2 seasons, he had 5 and 4 attacking returns respectively.
  • He is also a DEFCON monster as he has scored the most DEFCONs among midfielders (59) and has got DEFCON in 3 of the 4 games. He seems to be a reliable and dependable pick this season because of Defcon points, and should pick up 4 points in most games this season. For his price, that is a great buy.

Ultra Differential Picks for FPL GW5 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Harvey Elliott vs Sunderland(A) – £5.4 Midfielder – 0.4 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks- Elliott
  • Villa’s next 3 fixtures are the best in the League with matches against 2 promoted teams, Sunderland (away) and Burnley (home). Villa have to score sometime, and these fixtures provide the best opportunity. Elliott also got a goal midweek against Brentford to become Villa’s 1st Goalscorer this season.
  • Elliott should now start after having a great game midweek and scoring. He played on the right wing and will likely continue on that wing. With Number 9 on his back and a great summer at the Under 21 Euros (where he got 5 Goals) as a regular starter, Elliott could be set for a breakthrough campaign.

Anton Stach vs Wolves(A) – £5.0 Midfielder – 0.5 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks-Stach
  • It’s remarkable that Stach is the only midfielder in the game who has hit double figures for chances created (10) and Shots (10). He has generated 0.59 xG and 0.49 xA so far this season. He has created 1 Big Chance and got 1 Big Chance himself. He also has an Assist to his name.

Top Players for Chances Created so far this season:

  • He takes corners, free kicks, and has even got Def-cons in 1 game so far this season. Leeds now have a good fixture run, which begins with Wolves, who are 1 of 4 clubs to concede in every game. Wolves are also in the Bottom 3 for xGC and have conceded 9 Goals so far this season.
  • What increases Stach’s appeal is that he is a great Budget option, which will allow you to get the man of the moment – Erling Haaland, along with the other Big Hitters.

Yeremy Pino vs West Ham(A) – £6.0 Midfielder – 0.2 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks- Pino
  • Pino had a dream debut despite getting no attacking returns in Gameweek 4. Pino was Palace’s best attacking threat and had 2 Big Chances (both Shots in the Box). He generated 0.73 xG in 84 minutes. He sent a shot narrowly wide when he was one-on-one with the Goalkeeper, and his second effort was actually blocked while heading towards the goal. He even had a long-range attempt off target in the 1st half.
  • Glasner was extremely pleased with Pino’s performance and felt that Pino was really unlucky not to have scored last Gameweek. Pino will now face a West Ham team who are 2nd bottom for Shots in the Box and Shots on Target. They have also conceded the most Big Chances (13) and Goals (11) in the League so far. This could make Pino a nice punt for this Gameweek.

Hwang Hee Chan vs Leeds(H) – £5.9 Midfielder – 0.2 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks- Hee Chan
  • This is clearly a 1-week punt(Especially for GW6 Wildcarders), but Wolves need to get some points soon, and Leeds at home is a fixture to target. Hwang has been playing OOP as a striker in the absence of Strand Larsen and has scored 1 goal so far. He will be Wolves’ main goal threat and should also be on penalties in Strand Larsen’s absence.
  • Hwang has started the last 2 games and has gotten 0.63 xG in that time. He has 3 Shots in the Box, 2 Shots on Target, and also got 1 Big Chance.  Wolves also face the 3 promoted teams in the next 5 Games, out of which 2 are at home. If Strand Larsen is out for a long time, which could be likely, Hwang could be a nice OOP Budget Midfielder for the next 5 Gameweeks.

Emmanuel Agbadou vs Leeds(H)– £4.5 Defender – 0.4 % TSB

Top FPL GW5 Differential Picks- Agbadou
  • Wolves face the 3 promoted teams in the next 5 Games, out of which 2 are at home. All 3 Teams are in the bottom 3 for Shots on Target and are in the Bottom 5 for xG.
  • Agbadou has got Def-cons in 2 Games so far. Wolves need to start picking up some points, and he should get a couple of clean sheets against the promoted teams. Agabdou also has 3 Shots, 1 Shot in the Box, and played 1 key pass.

Agbadou DEFCON Stats so far:

  • GW1 vs MCI(H): 5 DEFCON
  • GW2 vs BOU(A): 12 DEFCON
  • GW3 vs EVE(H): 6 DEFCON
  • GW4 vs NEW(A): 12 DEFCON

That’s it for Gameweek 5. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 5.
