  • Kluivert(Still not back in training) and Christie(Expected to train his week) are injured and have not featured in pre-season at all and are likely to miss GW1.

Fofana did not play the last friendly but is likely to fit for GW1 as per Maresca. “Fofana could be available for Crystal Palace, yes, and we are very happy because he is a very important player”. Everton GW1 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

Everton GW1 Predicted lineup

Pickford

O’Brien – Tarkowski – Branthwaite – Aznou

Gueye – Garner

Alcaraz – Dewsbury Hall – Ndiaye

Barry

Everton Injury News/Updates:

  • Grealish is very likely joining Everton on loan, which means he could play on the left(Ndiaye playing as 10)/behind the striker as well(KDH moving as 8). Ndiaye has been really good on the left for Everton – So this transfer should not impact his minutes in the long term.
  • Mykolenko got injured in the final pre-season and was subbed off after just 12 minutes. Aznou is expected to replace him if Mykolenko is ruled out.
  • Dewsbury Hall played as No.10 in the final pre-season game, was very attacking and was also taking corners. So he is likely to hold on to his place.
  • Beto vs Barry is a 50/50 call.
  • McNeil could replace Alcaraz if Everton plan to go more direct in GW1 vs Leeds.

Bruno – Tonali – Joelinton

Elanga – Gordon – Barnes

Newcastle United Injury News/Notes:

  • Howe on Botman and Lewis Hall availability: “Both players are in similar situations. Physically fit but lacking match action. We need to not rush their comebacks or push them too hard and risk further injury.” Botman and Hall should be starters long term, but might not start GW1.
  • Gordon had an injury scare in the last pre-season game. But Howe confirmed that he should be fit. “Think he’s got an ankle problem. Initially, maybe thought it was a muscle problem, but the good news is it was just a twist. Initial feeling is he should be okay.”

Hume – Ballard – Seelt – Reinildo

Diarra – Xhaka – Sadiki

Talbi – Mayenda – Adingra

“We’ll see. Every day, we will make an assessment of their level and see how far we can push them through the training sessions. Lift the intensity, the contact. If they react well, they can then join the squad. If they don’t react well, we wait one day, two days, and assess again. So we will see for next week.
