Gameweek 35 threw a serious curveball our way.
Here’s a look at the top 10 scorers of the week:
Player | Team Selected By | GW35 Points |
Schade | 1.40% | 14 |
Garnacho | 4.80% | 12 |
Tielemans | 1.50% | 11 |
De Bruyne | 11.00% | 11 |
Palmer | 34.10% | 10 |
Eze | 12.70% | 10 |
McNeil | 1.20% | 10 |
Murillo | 5.10% | 10 |
Odobert | 0.00% | 10 |
Rice | 3.60% | 9 |
Spot the pattern? Apart from Palmer—who himself had lost considerable ownership and value recently—none of the top scorers were owned by more than 15% of managers. It’s clear: being bold and going differential might be the secret sauce in the final stretch.
And now, GW36 rolls in. Some players are still shaking off the European hangover, the top two clubs face off, and a few injuries add just the right drama to this weekend’s football feast. Sit back, because we’ve got all the key ingredients for a spicy Gameweek ahead.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊
FPL Gameweek 36 Transfer Tips: Players to BUY
Brentford Bravehearts
Bryan Mbeumo (£8.2m) – MID, Brentford – 43.8% TSB
Yoane Wissa (£6.7m) – FWD, Brentford – 18.7% TSB
Kevin Schade (£5.2m) – MID, Brentford – 1.5% TSB

The Three Musketeers of Brentford have tormented the promoted (now relegated) trio.
GW | Opponent | Mbeumo | Wissa | Schade |
GW3 | SOU (H) | 14 | 8 | 6 |
GW9 | IPS (H) | 15 | 10 | 1 |
GW13 | LEI (H) | 2 | 8 | 23 |
GW20 | SOU (A) | 19 | 11 | 8 |
GW26 | LEI (A) | 14 | 8 | 3 |
Total | 5 matches | 64 | 45 | 41 |
- Mbeumo leads the charts with 64 points, though he did manage one blank.
- Wissa has quietly delivered in every outing — no blanks, consistent returns.
- Schade is the wildcard. Despite playing for fewer minutes, he’s matched Wissa’s output and is coming in hot with 22 points in his last two games.
Pick your duo wisely. A double-up feels essential — and for the bold, a Brentford triple-up could be the ultimate secret sauce.

Etihad Elites
Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) – FWD, Man City – 29.7% TSB
Joško Gvardiol (£6.4m) – DEF, Man City – 35.4% TSB
Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) – MID, Man City – 11.3% TSB

Southampton this season has been a Fantasy goldmine for their opponents.
Their attack this season:
- 20th for Goals Scored
- 19th for Shots, Shots on Target, Big Chances, and xG
- 18th for Shots in the Box
- 19th for NPxG
Their defense this season:
- 20th for Shots Conceded, Shots in the Box Conceded, and Shots on Target Conceded
- 20th for Big Chances Conceded, xGC, NPxGC, xCS
- 20th for Goals Conceded and Clean Sheets
Simply put, Southampton have been bottom of the barrel at both ends of the pitch (and the league table).
City, still fighting for a Champions League spot, face a side already relegated — this fixture screams fantasy potential.
- Since GW25, Marmoush is the 2nd highest-scoring FWD
- Gvardiol ranks 3rd among DEFs for FPL points
- Since GW32, KDB is 3rd among MIDs for FPL points per appearance
Don’t overthink it — just get them in.

Chris Wood (£7.1m) – FWD, Nott’m Forest – 29.5% TSB

While the FPL herd jumps ship, we say: hold the line.
Over 30,000 managers have sold Chris Wood this week, frustrated by his 3 blanks in the last 4 Gameweeks. But context is key — and this week, the fixture flips the script.
Wood faces already-relegated Leicester, who rank:
- 18th for Shots Conceded, Big Chances Conceded, xGC, xCS, and Goals Conceded
- 19th for Shots in the Box Conceded, Shots on Target Conceded, and NPxGC
- 20th for Clean Sheets
In other words: they’re a dream opponent for attackers.
And it doesn’t stop at GW36 — Wood has a fantastic run-in.

In the reverse fixtures against his upcoming opponents, he racked up 28 points, returning in all three matches.
At his price, Wood might just be the best-value forward to close out the season.

Matheus Cunha (£7.1m) – FWD, Wolves – 14.3% TSB

More than 35,000 managers have already jumped off the Cunha train after just one blank. But here’s the thing — that was his first blank since returning from suspension.
Since then, among forwards (per appearance), Cunha ranks:
- 1st for Goal Involvements, Assists, and Bonus Points
- 2nd for Total FPL Points, BPS, Key Passes, and xA
His form speaks for itself. And the fixtures? Still excellent.
While his remaining opponents might show up as grey in the FDR column, Cunha scored 24 points across the reverse fixtures — returning in all three.
Managers might be selling out, but the smart move might be to stay invested.

FPL Gameweek 36 Transfer Tips: Players to SELL
Bukayo Saka (£10.3m) – MID, Arsenal – 18.5% TSB

Saka is the most transferred-out player this week — and for good reason.
Once considered a set-and-forget midfield asset, Bukayo Saka has returned just 6 points in his last 5 Gameweeks. Even more concerning, he hasn’t completed 90 minutes in any of those games, hinting at ongoing fitness management or perhaps fatigue setting in after a long season.
Now, the immediate fixtures don’t do him any favors either.

Arsenal face champions Liverpool, who boast the league’s best defensive stats and have kept clean sheets in their toughest fixtures. That’s followed by a clash against Newcastle, another defensively solid Top 4 side fighting to cement their Champions League place.
In terms of form, minutes, and fixtures, the warning signs are clear —- while Saka has been a fantastic asset in the past (remote past), this isn’t the time to hold out of loyalty.
Verdict: It’s time to sell and reinvest the funds in more explosive or in-form options for the run-in.

Arsenal Defense
William Saliba (£6.6m) – DEF, Arsenal – 31.4% TSB
David Raya (£5.6m) – GKP, Arsenal – 31.2% TSB

Arsenal defenders are on the chopping block — and rightly so.
Over the next two Gameweeks, the Gunners face two of the most dangerous attacking sides in the league:
- Liverpool – ranked 1st for Goals Scored
- Newcastle – ranked 3rd for Goals Scored
These aren’t just strong attacks on paper — they’ve delivered against Arsenal already. In the reverse fixtures, Arsenal failed to keep a clean sheet or register a win against either team.
Combine that with Arsenal’s recent defensive fragility, and the warning signs grow louder. In the last 6 Gameweeks, they’ve managed just one clean sheet — and that came against already-relegated Ipswich.
Verdict: It’s time to sell Saliba, Raya, and other Arsenal defenders. Look elsewhere for defensive returns in the run-in.
