Top FPL Gameweek 28 Captain Picks Based on Analysis & Metrics

Welcome to the FPL Gameweek 28 Captain Picks & Metrics blog. After the FA Cup games last weekend, we are finally close to another FPL Gameweek. Captaincy was a huge dilemma last week with both Palmer & Salah being popular options, Palmer blanked but Salah also didn’t haul in GW27. The popular captaincy options for FPL Gameweek 28 include Salah, Palmer, Isak, Munoz and Haaland.

This season the metrics has a 20/27 return record. Last season the metrics finished with 560 points(26/38 returns). The metrics had a 31/37 “returns record” in the 22/23 season and a 30/38 “returns record” in the 21/22 season. Do follow the man behind the metrics @AK_FPL1(Do follow him on Twitter)

Total metrics points: 10 + 34 + 34 + 26 + 12 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 12 + 4 + 4 + 26 + 26 + 10 + 36 + 6 + 42 + 18 + 32 + 14 + 32 + 6 + 16 + 58 + 40 + 28 + 12 = 550 pts

Note: “Returns” ~ Player topping the metrics getting points returns and not necessarily the highest scoring option of the week.

FPL GW28 Captaincy poll ~ Wisdom Of the Crowd

FPL GW28 Captaincy poll ~ Wisdom Of the Crowd

Salah continues to top the captaincy poll which isn’t a surprise, he’ll be up against Southampton at home this week. The only concern about captaining Mo this week is that Liverpool have an important UCL game against PSG on Tuesday night so his minutes might be reduced. Palmer who blanked in a 4-0 win over Southampton will be up against Leicester City at home this week.

The other popular options for captaincy this week include Haaland, Munoz, and Isak(If fit).
