Our Matchday 21 Predictions:
- Manchester City are finally finding some form with 2 wins from the last 2 games vs Leicester City and West Ham. Haaland(3 goals from 2 games) and Savinho(1 goal, 4 assists from 2 games) are both in-from players and have linked up really well in recent weeks. Even though Brentford have been brilliant at home, we do expect City to tighten up the screws and get the win.
- After conceding 9 goals from the last 2 games, West Ham have sacked Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter set to become the new head coach. On the other Fulham are unbeaten in the last 8 Premier League games despite playing Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham. It might be too early for Potter to train and set up his team even if he becomes the manager before this game. Fulham are expected to win convincingly.
- Chelsea are at home to Bournemouth who are without a striker right now- Evanilson and Unal both out to long term injuries. Tavernier and Sinisterra are also injured. Even though Bournemouth have been good this season, the injury crisis and the away fixture should favour Chelsea to get the win.
- Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool– 3rd vs 1st in Premier League. Who would have thought this at the start of the season. Forest’s recent form has been too good with 6 wins from the last 6 games while Liverpool’s last 2 fixtures have not gone their way- Draw vs Man United in GW20 and Loss vs Spurs in Carabao Cup fixture. At Home, we are backing Forest to give Liverpool a tough time and get at least a draw.
- Leicester City vs Crystal Palace: Leicester City have lost all their last 5 games in Premier League conceding 14 goals in the process- Highest among all the teams in the league. They have been very leaky and it is unlikely that this pattern changes against a Palace side who are finding their attacking groove with Mateta, Eze and Sarr linking up well and clicking.
- Everton vs Aston Villa: Villa should win this fixture against a Everton side who have scored only 5 goals from the last 10 games- Comfortably the Lowest among all the Teams in the league. 4 off them came against Wolves in a single game and 2 off them being scored by Craig Dawson(own goals). Rogers is also back from suspension which should make things easier for Aston Villa.
- Newcastle vs Wolves: Newcastle are on a scoring spree and are literally unstoppable with 5 wins from the last 5 games and only one loss in the last 8 games in Premier League. In the mid-week EFL cup game as well, Isak and Gordon both scored to give Newcastle a 2-0 win over Arsenal. At home, it is really difficult to bet against Newcastle this week.
- Arsenal vs Tottenham: Perhaps the blockbuster fixture of Matchday 21- The North London Derby. Tottenham have been very inconsistent in the league with only one win from the last 8 games but got a 1-0 win vs Liverpool in Carabao Cup in the midweek. Arsenal are unbeaten in the last 9 league games- 6 wins and 3 draws. But their recent form(Draw vs Brighton in PL and Loss vs Newcastle in EFL cup) is also not great. We are still backing Arsenal to get the win due to the defense crisis at Spurs with most of their first choice defense injured.
- Ipswich vs Brighton: We have gone with a draw prediction mainly because Ipswich have finally found the knack to get the results- Win vs Chelsea in GW19 and Draw vs Fulham in GW20. Brighton are leaky at the back having conceded 12 goals from the last 7 games- Ranking 14th for Goals conceded during this time. Even Ipswich have conceded less goals.
- Manchester United vs Southampton: Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes and company are expected to run riot vs Saints side who have only one win and are ranked 20th for xGC, 19th for Goals conceded and 20th for Big Chances conceded this season.
