GW12 felt repetitive, with familiar patterns continuing:
- 5 – Manchester City suffered their fifth consecutive defeat, a crushing 0-4 loss to Spurs at the Etihad, leaving their title defence in shambles.
- 5 – Mohamed Salah delivered returns for the fifth game in a row, widening his lead over FPL rival Palmer to a staggering 34 points.
- 5 – Trent Alexander-Arnold recorded his fifth consecutive blank, frustrating managers who invested in the costliest defender.
Looking ahead, GW13 promises excitement: a potential title decider between City and Liverpool, Amorim’s first home game, and Ruud van Nistelrooy’s debut as Leicester’s manager.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 13 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Matheus Cunha (£7.0m) – FWD, Wolves – 17.5% TSB
Since GW5, among forwards, Cunhadinho is ranked:
- 1st for FPL points
- 1st for BPS
- 1st for Bonus Points
- 1st for goals scored
- 1st for Goal Involvements
- 1st for Key Passes
- 1st for Big Chances Created
- 1st for xA
- 2nd for Assists
He goes up against a Bournemouth side at home that has managed just one clean sheet all season—surprisingly, against the formidable Gunners. Beyond this week, Cunha also benefits from a favorable run of fixtures.
Hence Cunha should be your priority signing No.1.

João Pedro (£5.6m) – FWD, Brighton – 13.4% TSB
Among all FWDs who have played min. 120 minutes, Pedro is ranked
- 1st for FPL points per appearance
- 1st for FPL points per start
- 1st for FPL points per 90 minutes
He faces Southampton at home, a team ranked rock bottom in EPL table.
Pedro is on penalties and has impressive fixtures.
Hence João Pedro should be high on your shopping list.

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) – MID, Brentford – 41.0% TSB
Mbeumo over the last 3 matches:
- 0 Shots on Target
- 0 Big Chances
- 0 Big Chances created
- 0.13 xG & 0.38 xA
As a result, nearly 100,000 managers have parted ways with Mbeumo this week.
However, I firmly believe the Brentford talisman deserves one final chance before Brentford’s fixtures take a challenging turn. In GW13, Mbeumo faces Leicester at home – a team which is ranked:-
- 20th for Shots in the Box conceded
- 19th for Big Chances conceded
- 18th for Shots conceded
- 18th for NPxGC
- 18th for xGC
- 18th for xCS
- 18th for Goals Conceded
- 1 Clean Sheet
Hence, I would recommend holding on to Mbeumo for one last week.

Danny Welbeck (£6.0m) – FWD, Brighton – 21.5% TSB
Welbeck is the third most transferred-out forward this week, likely due to teammate João Pedro’s impressive form since returning from injury. However, a closer look at the underlying statistics reveals just how unfortunate Welbeck has been.
Per 90 stats | João Pedro | Welbeck |
Shots | 2.19 | 2.74 |
Shots in the Box | 1.46 | 1.94 |
xG | 0.42 | 0.44 |
Managers who already have the Englishman in their squad are advised to give Welbeck one final opportunity.

FPL Gameweek 13 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Erling Haaland (£15.1m) – FWD, Man City – 55.7% TSB
With five blanks in his last seven games, the “robot” has endured three price drops. Man City’s ongoing struggles have further diminished his appeal, making him the most transferred-out forward this week. To top it off, City faces league leaders Liverpool in GW13. Liverpool defence is ranked:
- 1st for Clean Sheets
- 1st for Goals Conceded (fewest)
- 1st for xGC
- 1st for xCS
- 1st for NPxGC
- 1st for Shots on Target Conceded (fewest)
- 1st for Shots in the Box Conceded (fewest)
A host of budget-friendly forwards are making a strong case for inclusion in FPL squads. Considering these options, along with other factors, Haaland emerges as a clear SELL this week.

Rico Lewis (£4.8m) – DEF, Man City – 13.0% TSB
Lewis is currently the third most-picked Man City player, yet he has managed a modest 30 points this season. For context, 19 defenders who started the season at £4.5m or less have outscored him.
The absence of Rodri has left City’s defense looking vulnerable, and with a daunting trip to Anfield on the horizon, the outlook remains bleak. The upcoming fixtures don’t inspire much confidence, clean sheets are scarce, and City’s form has nosedived. Believe it or not, Manchester City have conceded 20 Big Chances over the last 3 games comfortably the worst in the league. For context, The next worst is Brighton with 13 Big chances conceded.
Manchester City Defense Numbers over the last 3 Gameweeks:
- xGC– 6.57 (Ranked 20th in the league)
- Big Chances Conceded– 20 (Ranked 20th in the league)
- Goals Conceded– 8 (Ranked 20th in the league)
Given the stronger alternatives available in his price bracket, moving him on seems like the sensible choice.
