FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to Buy, Hold & Sell

The international break is finally behind us—no more dull weekends. FPL is back this week and there’s no more international breaks until GW30. This week Rúben Amorim is stepping into the spotlight at Manchester United, hoping to load their season with some much-needed “amo”-nition. Across town, Manchester City are in uncharted territory with four consecutive losses, and tough fixtures against Spurs and Liverpool loom large. Meanwhile, Arteta’s Arsenal are also searching for answers, winless in their last four league games. With big stories brewing, it’s time for FPL managers to strategize and capitalize!

So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY

Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) – MID, Man Utd – 12.4% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to BUY= Bruno Fernandes

In the last 4 GWs, among midfielders, Fernandes is ranked:

  • 1st for Key Passes
  • 1st for Big Chances Created
  • 1st for Assists
  • 2nd for Shots
  • 2nd for Big Chances
  • 2nd for Goal Involvements
  • 2nd for xGI
  • 2nd for xPts
  • 2nd for BPS
  • 2nd for Bonus Points
  • 2nd for FPL Points
  • 3rd for xG

The next two matches on his schedule are highly appealing. Plus, he’ll now be playing under Amorim, whose tenure at Sporting was marked by an electrifying attacking style that turned heads across the footballing world. Could this be the spark of a classic new manager bounce?

Defense Rank of Bruno’s next 2 opponents:

IpswichEverton
xGC20th11th
Big Chances Conceded20th10th
Goals Conceded18th14th

Hence Bruno should be your priority signing No.1.

Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) – MID, Liverpool – 50.1% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to BUY- Salah

The timeless FPL maestro, the Egyptian king, the wizard of Merseyside—Salah once again stands out as the most sought-after asset in FPL.

Among midfielders, Salah is ranked

  • 1st for Shots on Target
  • 1st for Big Chances
  • 1st for xG
  • 1st for Goals
  • 1st for xGI
  • 1st for Goal Involvements
  • 1st for xPts
  • 1st for Bonus Points
  • 1st for FPL Points
  • 1st for BPS
  • 2nd for Assists
  • 3rd for Shots in the Box

In GW12, Salah takes on Southampton, a team he knows well. Across 11 league appearances against them, he’s netted 7 goals and provided 4 assists. Betting against the Egyptian delivering another big haul would be a risky move.

Most Double Digit Hauls in FPL This season:

  • Salah- 7
  • Luis Diaz- 3
  • Haaland- 3
  • Palmer- 3
  • Wissa- 3

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD

Chelsea Champions

Cole Palmer (£10.9m) – MID, Chelsea – 53.5% TSB

Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) – FWD, Chelsea – 17.0% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to Hold- Jackson and Palmer

More than 90,000 managers have sold Cole Palmer this week while more than 63,000 managers have sold Jackson.

While Palmer is carrying a yellow flag, sources close to Chelsea say that he will be fine for the weekend. He is the 2nd highest scoring player in FPL so far. So, a fit Palmer is a no brainer to hold.

Jackson is the 4th highest scoring FWD in the game, just 8 points shy off 2nd spot. Possibly, the emergence of budget friendly FWDs like Wood, Welbeck, Cunha, Wissa, Delap and Raúl have spoilt managers for choice.

However, the key thing to notice is the fixtures Chelsea are having in the long term.

Hence, I would recommend holding on to these two players if you already have them in your teams.

Erling Haaland (£15.2m) – FWD, Man City – 63.6% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to Hold- Haaland

Haaland finds himself among the most transferred-out players for the second week running, even after scoring in his last game. With just two goals in his previous six matches, it’s easy to see why managers are reconsidering such a costly asset—especially with Salah delivering consistently.

That said, there’s plenty of reason to keep faith in the Norwegian. His underlying stats remain strong, and in GW12, he’ll be up against Spurs at the Etihad. Tottenham’s likely high defensive line, featuring Dragusin and Davies at center-back, could play right into his hands. Spurs have also conceded eight goals in their last five matches and haven’t managed a clean sheet in that time.

The real game-changer, however, is the return of Kevin De Bruyne. Before his injury in GW4, KDB’s presence helped Haaland rack up a remarkable 54 points in just four weeks. With his creative spark back in the lineup, Haaland is primed to regain his top form. My suggestion? Stick with him.

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m) – DEF, Liverpool – 26.3% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to Sell- Trent Alexander Arnold

A highly offensive defender from an attack-minded Liverpool team facing a Southampton side with the league’s lowest goal tally—it’s a scenario full of potential, if only Trent wasn’t sidelined with injury. Even if he recovers, I suspect Slot will prioritize caution, keeping him out against Southampton with crucial clashes against Real Madrid, Man City, and Newcastle on the horizon.

Not to forget, he has 4 blanks in his last 4 games. So, it’s time to say TAA_TAA.

Pedro Porro (£5.5m) – DEF, Spurs – 27.2% TSB

FPL Gameweek 12 Transfer Tips: Players to Sell- Porro

Pedro Porro is currently the second most-owned defender in FPL. However, his returns since GW3 have been underwhelming—just 20 points in 9 matches. For perspective, 37 defenders have outscored him during this period, with 32 of them coming at a lower price.

Tottenham’s defensive record hasn’t helped his case, managing only 2 clean sheets so far—one against a struggling Manchester United and the other against a similarly goal-shy Everton. Adding to the concern, Porro faces a relatively uninspiring run of fixtures in the medium term.

Hence, I would recommend selling Porro.

  1. Google is paying $90 to $100 dollars per hour! Work for few hours by doing an easy job Online and have longer with friends & family. On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from having earned $10,000 dollars this last four weeks. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve had. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself If you don’t.
