As the curtains draw on yet another exhilarating season of Premier League action, anticipation reaches its zenith for the final gameweek, where dreams are realized, and destinies are sealed. In a climax fit for the grandest of stages, the title race culminates in nail-biting encounters separated by hundreds of miles but entangled in the same thread of destiny. Arsenal hosts Everton in London while Manchester City welcomes West Ham to Manchester, with both matches holding the keys to championship glory. With the league standings hanging in a precarious balance, the last ninety minutes will determine which club emerges triumphant, etching their name in footballing folklore for generations to come.
Yet, amidst the fevered title race, this weekend holds significance beyond the pursuit of silverware. For Liverpool faithful worldwide, it marks the poignant end of an era as Jürgen Klopp bids farewell from the Anfield touchline, leaving an indelible legacy of passion, resilience, and unrivalled success. As emotions run high and memories flood back, the stage is set for a heartfelt tribute to a managerial maestro who steered the Reds to unparalleled heights during his tenure.
But the drama doesn’t end there. With all ten matches kicking off simultaneously, the final whistle will not only herald the coronation of champions but also unravel the intricate tapestry of European qualifications, relegation battles, and individual accolades. From the race for the Golden Boot to the scramble for survival, every goal, every save, and every decision will shape the footballing landscape for the season’s curtain call. Strap in, for the last hurrah awaits, where every kick counts and every moment holds the promise of immortality in the annals of English football.
As the Fantasy Premier League season draws to a close, managers face a pivotal moment in their quest for mini-league supremacy. With one last chance to make strategic decisions, the pressure is on to navigate the final gameweek’s potential pitfalls and opportunities. Each click of the buy or sell button carries the weight of months of analysis and intuition, as managers agonize over whether to stick with trusted performers or take a gamble on differentials. In this climactic showdown, the ecstasy of a well-timed captaincy pick and the agony of an unexpected setback loom large, promising a rollercoaster ride of emotions for FPL managers worldwide.

KDB Injury Update:
PS – Haaland is a given and should already be a staple in everyone’s team.
Callum Hudson-Odoi (£4.7m) – MID, Nott’m Forest – 0.5% TSB
Forest is still not mathematically safe, so look for Hudson-Odoi and his teammates to give their all against Burnley in FPL Gameweek 38. In the last two GWs, among midfielders, CHO is ranked:
- 1st for Goals Scored
- 2nd for Goal Involvements
- 2nd for FPL points
- 2nd for Bonus Points
On the other hand, Burnley has nothing to play for, having already been relegated. In fact this season, they are ranked:
- 15th for Shots from Set Pieces Conceded
- 16th for Shots Conceded
- 17th for Shots in the Box Conceded
- 17th for Big Chances Conceded
- 17th for xGC
- 17th for xCS
- 18th for Shots from Headers Conceded
- 18th for NPxGC
- 18th for Goals Conceded
- 19th for Shots on Target Conceded

In the previous encounter in GW5, Hudson-Odoi secured an impressive 10 points. He could prove to be an exceptionally astute ultra-differential option in GW38.
BONUS – Player to Buy Ahead of FPL GW38
Michael Olise (£5.7m) – MID, Crystal Palace – 2.8% TSB
Crystal Palace will host Aston Villa, who have conceded 15 goals in their last 7 competitive matches across various competitions. In the 2022/2023 season’s corresponding fixture, Palace emerged victorious with a 3-1 win against Villa. Since then, significant changes have occurred, with Vieira and Gerrard parting ways. Aston Villa, under Emery, will make their first UEFA Champions League appearance in 41 years next season. Meanwhile, Oliver Glasner has led Crystal Palace to a remarkable turnaround, securing 16 out of 18 points in their last 6 Premier League games. During this impressive run, they’ve defeated top teams like Liverpool, Newcastle, and Manchester United. Michael Olise has played a pivotal role in Palace’s recent success.
Since GW34, among midfielders, Olise is ranked:
- 1st for FPL points
- 1st for BPS
- 1st for Bonus Points
- 1st for Goals Scored
- 1st for Goal Involvements
- 3rd for Shots on Target
- 5th for Shots
- 5th for xA
Since GW24, Aston Villa has only managed to keep 2 clean sheets and has conceded 26 goals, which ranks them 16th highest in the league for goals conceded during this period. Additionally, with their UEFA Champions League spot secured, Villa doesn’t have any significant stakes in this week’s match. Anticipate Olise to make a significant impact and potentially earn points.

FPL Gameweek 38 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Bukayo Saka (£8.9m) – MID, Arsenal – 50.1% TSB
Saka is experiencing the highest number of transfers out this round following a blank in GW37 against Manchester United. However, it’s worth noting that this was Saka’s first blank in 4 games. Moreover, in the reverse fixture against his upcoming GW38 opponents Everton in GW5, Saka also didn’t blank.
Among midfielders, Saka is ranked:
- 1st for Shots
- 1st for xA
- 1st for xPts
- 2nd for Assists
- 2nd for Shots in the Box
- 2nd for xGI
- 2nd for Bonus Points
- 2nd for FPL Points
- 3rd for xG
- 3rd for Goal Involvements
- 3rd for BPS
- 4th for Big Chances
- 4th for Key Passes
In GW38, Arsenal will be determined to contend for the title with some help from Moses and Moyes. Anticipate Saka to be in full force, given that this is Arsenal’s final match of the season.
Mohamed Salah (£13.4m) – MID, Liverpool – 23.3% TSB
GW38 signifies Klopp’s final game at Anfield, promising fireworks as the entire Liverpool squad rallies behind their charismatic manager.
Liverpool leads the xG rankings this season, with Salah serving as the focal point of their attacks. Despite not performing at his usual level, Salah has amassed 200 points for the 7th consecutive season and remains his team’s top scorer despite missing 6 games.
Facing Wolves at home in GW38, Salah previously secured a double-digit haul in the reverse fixture. Additionally, Wolves’ recent form has been dismal, with just 1 win in their last 10 games. Therefore, while Salah may not be a recommended purchase, if he’s already in your team, it’s advisable to retain him.
BONUS – Player to Hold ahead of FPL GW38
Son Heung-min (£10.0m) – MID, Spurs – 34.2% TSB
Son’s recent lack of returns in just 2 out of his last 6 matches, combined with his team’s dismal form, where they lost 5 out of those 6 matches, has caused managers to lose interest in him.
However, despite this bleak run, Son has managed to surpass the 200-point barrier for the third time in the last four seasons among midfielders. In GW38, Son will be up against Sheffield United. SHU defence is ranked:
- 20th for Goals Conceded
- 20th for Clean Sheets Conceded
- 20th for Shots Conceded
- 20th for Shots in the Box Conceded
- 20th for Shots on Target Conceded
- 20th for Shots from Headers Conceded
- 19th for Big Chances Conceded
- 19th for NPxGC
- 19th for xGC
- 19th for xCS
Hence, I recommend you HOLD Son.
FPL Gameweek 38 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Alexander Isak (£8.4m) – FWD, Newcastle – 42.3% TSB
Newcastle will face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Since GW26, Brentford has conceded the fewest goals (3) in home matches.
Isak’s returns in away games since his return from injury since GW26 are as follows:
- GW26 – ARS(A) – 2 points
- GW28 – CHE(A) – 6 points, 1 goal
- GW32 – FUL(A) – 2 points
- GW34 – CRY(A) – 2 points
- GW36 – BUR(A) – 7 points, 1 goal
- GW37 – MUN(A) – 2 points
21 points, 2 goals in 6 games
The statistics aren’t particularly thrilling, and if you exclude relegated Burnley, they become even more discouraging. Therefore, it’s advisable to SELL Isak.
Ederson (£5.5m) – GKP, Man City – 14.1% TSB
Ederson will be absent from the Premier League season’s final game on Sunday and next week’s FA Cup final. The Brazilian sustained a facial injury during City’s 2-0 victory at Tottenham on Tuesday, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side on the verge of an unprecedented fourth consecutive English top-flight title.
Therefore, it is advisable to part ways with Ederson.
BONUS – Player to Sell Ahead of FPL GW38
Jordan Pickford (£4.8m) – GKP, Everton – 16.7% TSB
It might come as a surprise to see the highest-scoring goalkeeper on the SELL list. However, Everton will be facing an Arsenal squad at the Emirates Stadium, who will be giving their all to contend for the league title with support from West Ham.
Since GW17, no team has scored more goals than Arteta’s side. Keeping a clean sheet will be exceptionally challenging for Everton. Therefore, it may be wise to consider selling Pickford in favor of someone like Ortega or Vicario.
