Erling Haaland (£14.1m) – FWD, Man City – 62.4% TSB

Erling Haaland’s return from injury saw him make a significant impact, albeit coming off the bench after missing the Brighton game. Even with just 28 minutes on the pitch, he found the back of the net. Impressively, this extends his scoring streak to three consecutive appearances.

Despite murmurs that he’s not hitting the heights of last season, Haaland’s numbers speak volumes. Remarkably, he stands as the second highest scoring forward in the game, despite playing almost 700 minutes less than the leading scorer, Watkins.

And let’s not overlook the underlying stats – they paint a picture of consistency and potency, surpassing his performances from last year. Haaland’s influence remains pivotal, and his recent return to form only solidifies his status as one of the game’s premier strikers.

Despite his remarkable form, it’s surprising to note that he remains a mere differential choice, owned by less than 8% of managers. It’s a rarity in FPL history to witness the top scorer maintaining differentials for such an extended period.

Looking ahead to GW36, Havertz’s prospects shine even brighter as Arsenal faces Bournemouth at home. Notably, he has already found the net against this opponent in the reverse fixture.

Considering these compelling factors, I wholeheartedly advocate for the acquisition of Kai Havertz.

Cole Palmer (£6.2m) – MID, Chelsea – 48.9% TSB

Despite a slight dip in form with just 2 points in his last 2 outings, Palmer might have lost some of his allure among FPL managers. Yet, make no mistake, he remains a cornerstone asset, indispensable to a club that arguably boasts the most favorable fixture list in these closing weeks of the season.

Crucially, Palmer is set to strut his stuff on home turf in GW36, and we all know what a formidable force he transforms into at Stamford Bridge – a veritable beast.

Facing the league’s toughest defense next doesn’t bode well, especially considering your blank in the reverse fixture. Then, there’s the absence of a DGW in GW37, followed by a showdown against another formidable opponent against whom you also blanked earlier in the season.

So, it’s time to say goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for your incredible service this season. I’ll fondly remember the points you’ve brought me and eagerly anticipate our reunion in the 2024/25 season.

Darwin Núñez (£7.6m) – FWD, Liverpool – 16.1% TSB

In the last four games, Darwin Núñez has only managed two starts, accumulating a mere five points. Unfortunately, his recent performances mirror those of his Liverpool teammates, who have been struggling as well. In what was anticipated to be a final push for the title in Klopp’s farewell season, the team has suffered a spectacular collapse.

From mid-March to the end of April, Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup and Europa League, and their hopes for the Premier League title seem all but dashed. With daunting fixtures against top-four contenders Spurs and Villa on the horizon, it seems prudent to part ways with Liverpool assets.

Last week, I advised selling Salah, and assuming you’ve already done so, it’s now time to bid farewell to Núñez.
