If you experienced a challenging GW35 following a magical GW34, remember, you’re not alone. Let’s examine the Dream Team from GW34 and see how they performed in GW35.

Apart from the Everton defense and Havertz, none managed to secure even an assist or a clean sheet. So, let’s lift those chins up and get ready for GW36 – the week preceding the significant DGW. There are several strategic decisions for managers to contemplate.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 36 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Erling Haaland (£14.1m) – FWD, Man City – 62.4% TSB
Erling Haaland’s return from injury saw him make a significant impact, albeit coming off the bench after missing the Brighton game. Even with just 28 minutes on the pitch, he found the back of the net. Impressively, this extends his scoring streak to three consecutive appearances.
Despite murmurs that he’s not hitting the heights of last season, Haaland’s numbers speak volumes. Remarkably, he stands as the second highest scoring forward in the game, despite playing almost 700 minutes less than the leading scorer, Watkins.
And let’s not overlook the underlying stats – they paint a picture of consistency and potency, surpassing his performances from last year. Haaland’s influence remains pivotal, and his recent return to form only solidifies his status as one of the game’s premier strikers.
GW1-35 / Per 90 Stats | 2022/23 | 2023/24 |
Shots | 3.96 | 4.23 |
Shots On Target | 2.01 | 2.03 |
Shots In the Box | 3.68 | 3.94 |
xG | 0.94 | 0.99 |
NPxG | 0.74 | 0.83 |
xGI | 1 | 1.1 |
Key Passes | 0.94 | 1.14 |
Assists | 0.28 | 0.33 |
xPts | 7.01 | 7.29 |
With the UEFA Champions League no longer a concern, Manchester City faces only five remaining fixtures this season, with the FA Cup Final scheduled to be played after GW38. As the title race intensifies, it’s unlikely that Pep Guardiola will rotate his players further.
Notably, City’s upcoming GW36 opponents, Wolves, have only managed to keep one clean sheet since GW22. Considering these statistics, it becomes evident that Haaland warrants serious consideration when constructing your team lineup.

Kai Havertz (£7.5m) – MID, Arsenal – 7.8% TSB
In the enthralling battle for the Premier League title, Arsenal has emerged as a formidable contender, with Kai Havertz spearheading their charge with goals and glory. Since GW23, Havertz has been a beacon of consistency, emerging as the highest-scoring Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player.
Despite his remarkable form, it’s surprising to note that he remains a mere differential choice, owned by less than 8% of managers. It’s a rarity in FPL history to witness the top scorer maintaining differentials for such an extended period.
Looking ahead to GW36, Havertz’s prospects shine even brighter as Arsenal faces Bournemouth at home. Notably, he has already found the net against this opponent in the reverse fixture.
Considering these compelling factors, I wholeheartedly advocate for the acquisition of Kai Havertz.

FPL Gameweek 36 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Cole Palmer (£6.2m) – MID, Chelsea – 48.9% TSB
Despite a slight dip in form with just 2 points in his last 2 outings, Palmer might have lost some of his allure among FPL managers. Yet, make no mistake, he remains a cornerstone asset, indispensable to a club that arguably boasts the most favorable fixture list in these closing weeks of the season.
Crucially, Palmer is set to strut his stuff on home turf in GW36, and we all know what a formidable force he transforms into at Stamford Bridge – a veritable beast.
Delving into his home game statistics, Palmer stands out prominently among midfielders:
- 1st for Goals
- 1st for Bonus Points
- 2nd for FPL points
- 2nd for Shots on Target
- 2nd for Big Chances
- 2nd for xG
- 2nd for xGI
- 2nd for xPoints
- 2nd for Goal Involvements
- 3rd for BPS
Turning our attention to GW36’s adversaries, West Ham, it’s evident they’re less than stellar when it comes to their defensive duties away from home. The Hammers languish in the lower echelons of defensive rankings:-
- 19th for Clean Sheets
- 19th for xCS
- 19th for Big Chances Conceded
- 18th for Goals Conceded
- 17th for xGC
- 17th for Shots on Target Conceded
I strongly recommend HOLDING Palmer.

Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) – MID, Man Utd – 18.3% TSB
Since GW31, Fernandes is ranked: –
- 1st for FPL points
- 1st for BPS
- 1st for Bonus
- 1st for xGI
- 1st for xA
- 1st for Key Passes
- 2nd for Goals
- 2nd for Goal Involvements
- 2nd for Big Chances Created
- 2nd for xPts
In the world of football, Bruno Fernandes is a standout figure, captivating fans with his skill and impact that go beyond just scoring goals and providing assists. Even in the recent match where he didn’t score or assist and his team didn’t keep a clean sheet, Bruno’s ability to earn bonus points was evident, securing him two valuable ones.
In GW36, Bruno plays Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Think back to the last season, where Bruno’s performances lit up the pitch, showcasing his exceptional talent. In the same fixture, his name was among the scorers, highlighting his enduring quality.
Looking ahead, as Manchester United prepares for a double-header at their home ground, Old Trafford, Bruno Fernandes emerges as a dependable figure amidst tactical considerations. So, I strongly recommend keeping hold of Bruno Fernandes, as he represents a consistent path to success in the ever-changing landscape of Fantasy Premier League.

Then also, after the game, we had an issue with Bruno [Fernandes] so he is a doubt for Monday, but he will fight to be a part of this game, as we know with Bruno.“Never rule him out for any game and he is giving his best to be available”
FPL Gameweek 36 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Dominic Solanke (£7.3m) – FWD, Bournemouth – 27.0% TSB
“You Either Die a Hero or Live Long Enough to See Yourself Become the Villain”
Dear Dom,
What a journey it’s been! From the very start of the season, having you in my FPL squad has been an absolute pleasure. Your consistent performances have brought me immense joy and countless points week after week.
However, as they say, all good things must come to an end. It’s with a heavy heart that I must bid you farewell for now. Your upcoming fixtures don’t inspire the same confidence as before, and I understand why many managers are parting ways with you this week.
Facing the league’s toughest defense next doesn’t bode well, especially considering your blank in the reverse fixture. Then, there’s the absence of a DGW in GW37, followed by a showdown against another formidable opponent against whom you also blanked earlier in the season.
So, it’s time to say goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for your incredible service this season. I’ll fondly remember the points you’ve brought me and eagerly anticipate our reunion in the 2024/25 season.
Until then, farewell and best wishes.

Darwin Núñez (£7.6m) – FWD, Liverpool – 16.1% TSB
In the last four games, Darwin Núñez has only managed two starts, accumulating a mere five points. Unfortunately, his recent performances mirror those of his Liverpool teammates, who have been struggling as well. In what was anticipated to be a final push for the title in Klopp’s farewell season, the team has suffered a spectacular collapse.
From mid-March to the end of April, Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup and Europa League, and their hopes for the Premier League title seem all but dashed. With daunting fixtures against top-four contenders Spurs and Villa on the horizon, it seems prudent to part ways with Liverpool assets.
Last week, I advised selling Salah, and assuming you’ve already done so, it’s now time to bid farewell to Núñez.
