International breaks can be extremely frustrating at times. Nonetheless, FPL is back, and back with a lot more challenges and fixture swings. The next couple of weeks are also going to be extremely popular for wildcarding. Therefore, it is important to use your transfers wisely. In this blog, let’s take a look at our top FPL GW9 Differential Picks/punts(<10% TSB) to consider in your teams.

Top FPL GW9 Differential Picks ( <10% ownership)
Richarlison vs Fulham(H), £6.7m, TSB: 2.0%
In spite of playing only 45 minutes last time out, Richarlison (0.81) was fourth best for NPxG, behind only Isak (1.6), Doucoure (1.14), and Soucek ( 0.93). The Brazilian was extremely unlucky to be subbed off at Half Time, as Spurs were down to ten men.
In fact, in the last two GWs, Richarlison (2.0) is second only to Isak (3.5) for xGI. The Brazilian is also joint second-best for big chances and joint third-best for shots in the box. He has put up these numbers despite playing only 1 and a half games.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ FPL GW9 opponents Fulham have the fourth worst record for xGC (15.92) thus far in FPL.
The Brazilian has 1 goal and 1 assist in seven matches against the Cottagers. If you are looking to wildcard in GW10, and in need of a one-week punt, Richarlison could be the best option!

Lyle Foster vs Brentford (A), £5.0m, TSB: 1.1%
If you’re ever looking for a player who is being overlooked and could well turn out to be a gem, that is Lyle Foster. We say that, not least because, the Burnley man has only blanked once in his six starts in the league. That was against Man City. Although, the forward has missed a couple of games through suspension.
Foster has registered 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 matches, to along with 4 bonus points. The forward has been involved in 5 out of the 7 goals that Vincent Kompany’s men have scored.
Burnley have had a wretched run of games to start the season. They have played 4 out of the traditional Big 6, Newcastle, and Aston Villa in their opening eight games. They have won 4 points out of a possible 6 from the other two games ( Luton and Nottingham Forest)
The fixtures going forward look pretty enticing from an FPL point of view. 7 out of the next 10 games have an FDR rating of 2. Meanwhile, their FPL GW9 opponents Brentford have won only 1 game this season and are yet to win at home.
The South African is tenth in FPL for points per 90 among players priced on or below £6.5m. We reckon that Burnley is a team that is likely to perform well against the teams in the bottom half of the table. That suggests that more points are around the corner for Foster.
Here is a pro tip. He is a much better option than Cameron Archer as the third forward if you’re on a wildcard!

Morgan Gibbs-White vs Luton (H), £5.8m, TSB: 1.5%
It has been an underwhelming start to the season for Nottingham Forest’s talisman. Indeed Gibbs-White has registered 0 goals and only 2 assists so far this season in FPL. Whereas, the Englishman registered 5 goals and 12 assists last season.
Nonetheless, we feel that Forest’s FPL GW9 fixture against Luton might be the perfect game to kick things off again for the midfielder. Gibbs-White came close to scoring against Crystal Palace last time out as he hit the woodwork from an attempted lob over Sam Johnstone in goal.

Despite getting only 2 returns in 8 matches, Gibbs-White is top for xPts among Forest players so far in FPL this season. The midfielder has created more big chances, and has registered more key passes than any of his compatriots.
Luton Town are fourth worst in the league for big chances conceded, and are only one of four teams yet to keep a clean sheet this season. In the absence of Awoniyi, it is likely that Gibbs-White will be involved in one way or another if Forest were to score a goal.

Anthony Gordon vs Crystal Palace (H), £5.6m, TSB: 5.5%
Anthony Gordon is the best asset to pick from Newcastle in FPL! Shocked to hear such a statement? Hear us out. Trippier is extremely hard to get to if you want Haaland, Son, Saka, and Salah. Besides, Newcastle’s potential for keeping shutouts may come down in the coming weeks.
Wilson and Isak keep rotating amongst each other. That leaves us with Gordon, who we know in the absence of Barnes is likely to start most matches. Gordon (6) is joint top for goal involvements among Newcastle players.
The Englishman has registered an attacking return in each of the last three games ( 1G, 3A in all). In fact, he has blanked only twice so far this season in 7 appearances. Adding on to that, he is yet to blank at St. James’ Park this season.

Given the fact that 4 of their next games are at home, it might be the perfect time to bring him into your FPL teams. The midfielder is second for big chances created, and joint second for shots, among Newcastle players.
Newcastle are the best attack in the league, in terms of big chances created, and xG. Further, they’re (20) the second-best in the league, behind only Brighton (21) for goals scored. It is, therefore, essential to have an attacking asset from their side.

Rasmus Højlund vs Sheffield United (A), £7.2m, TSB: 6.5%
Rasmus Højlund has created a record of unheard-of proportions. The Manchester United man has had two price rises in FPL inspite of not registering a single attacking return in his 5 appearances. However, there is a strong case to justify those price rises.
Whilst he may not have scored in the league yet, he certainly hasn’t been shy of opportunities. The Danish international has had 4 big chances in his 5 appearances. In fact, since his debut, only 6 players have had more big chances than the Dane in the league.
Sadly, though, the Manchester United man currently holds the record for the most number of big chances without registering a goal. Having said that, we have seen in Champions League matches that the striker is more than capable of finding the back of the net. He has 3 goals in 2 matches in that competition.
Four of Manchester United’s next Five games have an FDR rating of 2. Three of those teams (Sheffield United, Fulham, and Luton) are in the bottom five for NPxGA in the league.

Hwang Hee-chan vs Bournemouth (A), £5.4m, TSB: 1.0%
If at the start of the season anyone had asked you who would be the top 5 goal scorers in the league after 8 games, most of us would not have even considered Hwang Hee-chan. Here we are, 8 games in, and only 3 players ( Haaland, Isak, and Son )have registered more goals than the Wolves man (5).
The Korean international has scored a goal in Four of the last five games. In fact, he has scored 4 of Wolves’ last 6 goals. By doing so, he has already matched his best-ever tally in the league for goals (5).
The Wolves midfielder is top for Points per 90 in FPL so far this season. He is also second-best for points per million among midfielders and forwards.
As we can see from the above graphic, Bournemouth are second worst in the league for xGC. The Cherries also have conceded the second most number of big chances, behind only Sheffield United. Wolves play against the Blades in FPL GW11. Therefore, Hwang is an enticing pick for 2 of the next 3 game weeks.
