It was an interesting week for FPL managers last time out. There are growing frustrations around Manchester United and Chelsea assets. Now that European football has begun, there are more problems such as rotation and injuries to deal with for managers. Keeping these in mind, it is important to pick those players who can make the difference. In this blog, let’s take a look at our top FPL GW6 Differential Picks/punts(<10% TSB) to consider in your teams.

Eberechi Eze vs Fulham (H), £6.3m, TSB: 8.9%
This might sound like a surprise to a lot of you. But, Eze has been one of the most unluckiest players in FPL so far. Although he has registered only 16 points, he is in the top 20 for xGI (3.0). He has also had 23 shots thus far, the second-best tally in the league, behind Haaland (29).
For context, Edouard has 32 points with an xGI of 3.9. There are two ways of looking at this. One, Eze is going to continue in a similar vein. Two, FPL points are around the corner. We would choose the latter given Eze’s performances in the last year or so in FPL.
The Eagles have a favorable run of fixtures all the way till GW15. It is in these kind of matches in which Eze tends to perform. Last season, each of his 10 goals came against teams with an FDR rating of 2 or 3. Three of his Five assists also came against such opposition.
Given the fact that 8 of their next 10 games are against teams with an FDR rating of 2 or 3, Eze is a good long-term pick.
Meanwhile, the Eagles’ FPL GW6 opponent Fulham have conceded the most number of big chances (20) so far this season. They have also given away 10 goals, the joint third-worst record in the league.

Josko Gvardiol vs Nottingham Forest (H), £5.1m, TSB: 5.6%
There is two ways of looking at Man City’s clean-sheet dry start to the season. One, it is a repeat of last season. Two, surely, at some point the numbers will start turning into fruition.
Man City have the second best xGC (3.81) in the league. The champions have also conceded only 6 big chances so far this season. A tally only bettered by Arsenal.
Gvardiol has started three of the last four league games. He was also rested in the midweek Champions League game. Therefore, the chances of him starting at Left back this weekend is high.
Gvardiol scored 4 goals in all competitions for club and country last season. It is, therefore, safe to say that FPL managers can expect big hauls from him in the near future.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest have the joint second-worst tally for big chances (6) in the league so far. Surely, this is the Gameweek in which Man City can break their clean sheet curse?

Issa Kabore vs Wolves (H), £4.0m, TSB: 5.2%
Issa Kabore was very unlucky to come away from the Fulham game with no returns. He created 2 big chances last week. Unfortunately, though, both were spurned. In all, the Luton defender has created 3 big chances in the league, the joint most in the league for defenders.
The young fullback has also had 2 shots in the box already this season, more than any other Luton defender. He has also had 6 touches in the box, second most among his teammates (defenders). We have to bear in mind that he doesn’t go forward for set pieces.
Luton’s upcoming fixtures are as good as anything you can get, including a double GW. Therefore, it is important to have at least one asset from their team.
Key Stats
- Wolves are joint fifth worst in the league for goals scored (5)
- Everton have the worst goal tally (2)
- Burnley have created the fewest number of big chances (4)
- Nottingham Forest are joint second worst in the league for big chances created (6)
The chances of Luton keeping clean sheets in this run of games is very high. Combine that with Kabore’s attacking potential, there is a possibility of good returns for FPL managers.

Callum Wilson vs Sheffield United (A), £7.8m, TSB: 5.4%
Callum Wilson scored the winning goal for Newcastle in their 1-0 win over Brentford last time out. He has now scored in each of the last two league matches. Overall, the striker has 3 goals in 186 minutes for the Magpies this season.
Wilson didn’t start the midweek fixture against AC Milan. This hints at the possibility of the Englishman getting the nod in the league matches, and Isak in the cup matches. Quite interestingly, the Brentford game was also the first time in which Wilson played the full 90 this season
Among players who have played over 150 minutes this season, only Haaland ( 2.67) has a better big chances per 90 tally than Wilson (1.87). It is similar to last season, where again the Englishman was second only to the Norwegian for big chances per 90 among players who played over 1000 minutes.
It is safe to say that Newcastle have the best set of fixtures in the next couple of months. Therefore, to have their star striker is a no-brainer. Wilson is one of the best possible replacements for Jackson, whose form is attracting sellers!
Key Stat: Despite having 4/5 appearances from the bench, Wilson is Top among Newcastle players for Big Chances(4), Shots inside the box(9), xGI(2.8), and Goals(3) this season.
The Magpies’ FPL GW6 opponent Sheffield United have conceded more shots (114) and more shots in the box (75) than any other team so far this season. Time for a Wilson feast?

Rasmus Højlund vs Burnley (A), £7.1m, TSB: 3.2%
Højlund was extremely unlucky not to score last weekend against Brighton. He scored a lovely goal, only to be ruled out for a marginal offside call. He would have also had a tap-in had Rashford got his head up in one of the moves in the second half.
Leaving the ifs and buts aside now. The Danish international opened his account in Manchester United colours midweek in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
The forwards have had a good time of it so far this season against Burnley.
Gameweek | Player | FPL Points |
1 | Erling Haaland | 13 |
3 | Ollie Watkins | 5 |
4 | Son | 20 |
5 | Taiwo Awoniyi | 5 |
As we can see all the strikers have given a return against the Clarets so far this season. Son is a midfielder, however, he did play a striker in the game.
Besides, no team has conceded more goals (12) than Vincent Kompany’s men. That is inspite of playing a game less than other teams.

Ethan Pinnock vs Everton (H), £4.5m, TSB: 2.1%
Brentford have been one of the standout teams so far this season. They lost for the first time last time to a dodgy penalty against Newcastle.
The Bees are joint fourth best in the league for big chances conceded ( 7), behind only Arsenal (5), Man City (6), and Newcastle (6). They’re also fifth best in the league for NPxGA (5.4). Despite that, they have only kept one clean sheet so far.
FPL managers have to believe that “can’t score a goal” Everton is the perfect opponent to keep a shut out against. Indeed, the Toffees have scored in only one of the five league games they have played so far.
With Rico Henry out for the rest of the season, Ethan Pinnock is the best defensive asset to consider from the Bees. Pinnock has already registered 3 shots in the box along with a big chance, more than any of the other Brentford defenders.
As we can see, last season, only Perisic and Schar had more big chances than Pinnock. Pinnock missed a quarter of a season and still makes it among top runners in the list. He also converts his big chances, unlike some others.
