FPL GW6 Transfer Targets
Kieran Trippier NEW Β£6.5
Projected Points GW6-10: 23.0
With a clean sheet and 2 chances created, Trippier rewarded all of his managers who bought him in with a nice 8-pointer in GW5. Trippier should be the first name on everyoneβs watchlist who wants a new defender, as his attacking threat and fixtures give him massive upside moving forward. Trippier has great upcoming fixtures with the 3rd easiest schedule for defenders over the next six GWs.
Newcastle defence numbers Big Chances conceded: 5(Joint Lowest in the League) xGC(Expected goals conceded): 5.45(4th best in the League) Goals conceded: 7 Opponents faced so far: Brentford(GW5), Brighton(GW4), Liverpool(GW3), Man City(GW2), Aston Villa(GW1) (All of them are strong attacks which can be seen below) Newcastle have faced 5 of the top six attacks so far this season!
Teams with the highest xG so far this season
Team | Goals | xG |
Man City | 14 | 12.57 |
Aston Villa | 11 | 11.33 |
Brighton | 15 | 10.71 |
Brentford | 8 | 10.53 |
Chelsea | 5 | 10.27 |
Liverpool | 12 | 10.23 |
Trippierβs xGI per 90 has gone down from last season, but he is still putting up a great 0.16 xGI Per 90 minutes despite facing tough opposition to begin the season. There is a worry about possible rotation due to the Champions League starting up, but I think Trippierβs minutes will be managed by earlier substitutions rather than him being rested. With great fixtures, good attacking underlying stats, and playing for a still elite defence, Trippier is a player firmly on my watchlist.

Mohamed Salah LIV Β£12.5
Projected Points GW6-10: 34.5
With so many midfielders disappointing this GW, Mr. Reliable, Aka the Harry Kane from last season, got managers a great 10-pointer thanks to his two assists. Yes, we are talking about the FPL Goat Salah, who is a massive differential since most managers want to wait until GW9 or 10 to wildcard him in. Salah has yet to blank this season, but he only has 1 double-digit haul. Managers who are trying to get ahead of the curve could go for Salah early and enjoy those differential points before he becomes a template again.
Liverpool has the 3rd easiest schedule for attackers over the next six GWs, lifting Salahβs upside. Salahβs underlying stats are also elite, with a 1.01 xGI per 90 mins this season. A hot add in 3 GWs time, managers who are tired of a midfielder like Bruno or Rashford can look to move them to Salah and freeing up funds elsewhere.
Salah has also created six big chances in the first five games which is the most in the league so far this season.

Carlton Morris LUT Β£5.5
Projected Points GW6-10: 23.6
I know, I know, going for a Luton player sounds like an absolute disaster waiting to happen. However, in FPL, fixtures are KING, so when there is a double GW then those players go straight into the watchlist. This is the case with Luton forward Carlton Morris, who has great fixtures coming up, which includes a DGW7 against the terrible defenses of Burnley and Everton, who have yet to keep a clean sheet.
Long term, Morris has the easiest schedule for attackers over the next six GWs. Morrisβ underlying stats are decent, with a 0.48 xGI per 90 mins. On penalties and with great fixtures at just Β£5.5, Morris is a player that should be on everyoneβs watchlist, especially since he is one of the best captain options in GW7.
