Ben Chilwell CHE £5.5

Many managers were put off by Chilwell and Chelsea assets due to their Liverpool fixture in GW1 and their disappointment of a season last year. Chilwell punished those who did not go for him with a nice taken assist and 2 bonus points for a nice 7 pointer. This could have been more if his goal had stood, but it just goes to show his potential as an FPL asset, as he is basically a striker disguised as a defender. Moving forward, Chilwell is a great buy for managers as he has the easiest defensive schedule over the next 8 GWs. With a 0.38 xGI per 90 minutes and great fixtures, Chilly needs to be on every manager’s FPL radar.

James Maddison TOT £7.5

To say James Maddison was anything short of magnificent in his Spurs debut against a stout Brentford defense would be an understatement. Maddison provided 2 assists, created 6 chances, and finished with an xA of 0.58. Everything seemed to run by Maddison under “Ange Ball,” which makes him a player to watch closely. Spurs have the 2nd best attacking schedule over the next 8 GWs, so Maddison could see plenty of returns during that span. On set pieces, playing for a better side, and still creative as ever, Maddison is a great option moving forward.

Joao Pedro BHA £5.5

A late penalty rescued Joao Pedro’s afternoon after the Brighton Forward missed an absolute sitter earlier in the game, giving him 7 points. Pedro was great for Brighton as he finished the match with an NPxG of 0.59 per 90 minutes. Pedro is a name to keep on your short-term plans, as he has two great upcoming fixtures followed by an absolutely brutal schedule ( 2nd worst schedule for attackers over the next 8 GWs). That being said, even if Pedro does have tough fixtures, Brighton is a great attack, and playing Pedro in those tough fixtures is not the end of the world, as it allows you to fit in other premium options. With good fixtures, form, and on penalties, Joao Pedro is a great option to look out for in the coming GWs.
