FPL GW31 Scout Picks
FPL GW31 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
Fulham are ranked 19th in the league for Open Play xG over the last 6 games. They are without their star striker Mitrovic(suspended) and they are finding it difficult to get the goals. Fulham have also lost 4 games in a row. Pickford has kept 6 clean sheets this season, 5 of them coming at home where Everton are much better overall. Everton lost to Manchester United in GW30 2-0 but Pickford made 9 saves and got 3 save points. If Everton can hold to a clean sheet in GW31, there could well be a Double Digit haul for Pickford!
Everton also have a 40% chance of a clean sheet against Fulham(Via Drafthound) which is the fifth-best this week.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks- Defenders
Ruben Dias is the Top Pick among defenders coming at the back of a heroic performance in the 3-0 win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. If you are looking for a defender, Dias should be surely in your plans with City confirmed to Double in GW34 and likely to Double in GW37 as well.
Leicester have scored only 4 goals from the last 8 games which is the least among all teams during the same period. It is almost like the Best Defense in the league up against the Worst attack in the league. Do check out our FPL GW31 Differentials article where Dias is covered in detail.
Pedro Porro (£4.8m) is our second defender in this week’s scout pick. Porro and Spurs play Bournemouth at home in FPL GW31 who are poor away from home(4th lowest xG in away games this season amongst all teams).
Additionally, a lot of players operating from the Right Wing(RW) have hauled against Bournemouth in recent weeks and the reason being the fact that Bournemouth concede heavily through their left-hand side(Most crosses conceded(81) and second most chances conceded(24) from their left flank over the last six games). This is where Porro operates and the Bournemouth game gives him the perfect opportunity to add to his two attacking returns(One goal and One assist) in the last four games.
Pinnock is our final pick in defense. Brentford are struggling for clean sheets with just 1 CS from the last 9 games. But things could be better against a Wolves side who have taken the least shots in the league over the last 6 matches.
Wolves have conceded 37 Goal Attempts from Set-pieces over the last 6 games which is the highest among all teams in the league. Brentford are a team generally good at set-piece routines. Since the World Cup break, Pinnock has had 4 big chances(Highest among Brentford defenders), 8 shots inside the box, 2 goals- All of them coming from set pieces. There could be another Pinnock header coming in this week with this amazing matchup.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks- Midfielders
Grealish has been in scintillating form over the last few weeks returning back-to-back double-digit hauls in the last two games. Since the WC break, he has started 13 of the 15 PL games including starting all of the last 11 games. More on Grealish in our Best FPL GW31 Midfielders blog!
Grealish stats since GW17 amongst midfielders
- xA: 4.82 (5th best in the league)
- BCC: 8( joint 4th best)
- Assists: 7( joint highest)
- KP: 26( 10th best among midfielders)
Grealish has been playing on the left side of Man City’s attack and Leicester have conceded the 3rd most chances(22) on that flank in the last six games which also gives Grealish a favorable matchup this week.
Mac Allister was unlucky not to haul last week against Spurs. Brighton lost the game unfortunately but showed us why they are one of the in-form teams in the league. Since the WC break the Seagulls have the second-best xG(30.39) in the league with only Man City having a better xG than them since GW17.
Mac Allister has the 4 best xG(4.98) for all players in FPL since GW23. Essentially, since he moved to the number 10 position. Meanwhile, Chelsea concede 54% of their chances through the centre. That is the joint sixth-worst tally in the league and this is also where Mac Allister operates once again giving him a good matchup.
Bruno was incredibly unlucky not to haul against Everton, he produced a whopping xGI of 1.61(4th best amongst all players in GW30) which included 6 key passes, 2 big chances created, 1.02 xA, 4 shots, 2 shots on target, one big chance and an xG of 0.6 all of which unfortunately did not reflect in the final FPL points tally for Bruno in GW3O. Bruno is always guaranteed to play 90 mins and that was only further strengthened this week after he picked up a Yellow against Sevilla which rules him out of the 2nd leg which will happen between GW31 and GW32.
Martinelli meanwhile from GW24 has blanked only once producing seven goals and 2 assists making him the highest-scoring player during the period with 67 points from just 8 games, the next highest-scoring player is Watkins with 53 points, a gap of 14 points with Watkins also playing more mins than Martinelli. He enjoys a brilliant linkup with fellow Brazilian attacker Jesus, and with Jesus fully recovering from the knee injury, the duo will look to continue with their deadly partnership against a struggling West Ham.
Since GW25, Mo Salah has the 2nd most xGI(6.7) amongst all players registering 5 goals and 2 assists during the period. Liverpool put on an impressive display against Arsenal and will look to carry the momentum into the Leeds game. Salah also loves playing Leeds scoring 7 goals and picking up an assist in 5 games against Leeds!

FPL GW31 Scout Picks- Forwards
Even with the slight chances of rest given to Haaland in GW31, it is difficult to go against this man who has 30 Premier League goals with still 9 games to go. Haaland tops all the underlying numbers and is coming at the back of a Goal, Assist contribution in the 3-0 win over Bayern Munich. With the league very much at stake, we feel that he does not get rested for this one. But will be taken off around 60-70 minutes if the game is already won.
He will be up against a Leicester side who are 19th in the table, conceding 27 goals since the World Cup(2nd most in the league) and keeping 0 clean sheets. Surely Haaland takes the armband!
Harry Mr.Consistent Kane rounds up the Scout Picks. He has been ticking all along every week with 29 goal contributions(23 goals, 6 assists) from 30 games this season. His recent form has also been good with 5 goals from the last 4 games. Kane is always good against Promoted teams too. There are many managers selling Kane this week to get Salah/Haaland, we would not suggest that at all. Try to find different routes to get them in your teams!
Matchup alert- Over the last 6 games, Bournemouth have conceded 20 chances from the center which is the 3rd highest among all teams in the league. This could very well work in Kane’s favour.
