Gameweek 26 is upon us after an eventful end to GW25 and it’s one of the funnest times of the year to be an engaged FPL manager! Double Gameweeks, Blank Gameweeks, chip strategies, Wildcard squads leading into planned Bench Boosts – it’s FPL Dreamland for managers who love the nitty gritty of ‘planning’ and optimizing their chips in this exciting fixture landscape!
For some squads, its a great time to Wildcard into a high-gains strategy but as ever, every situation is unique and all managers are urged to make the best decisions for their squad! If planning to navigate the next few weeks using transfers, here are some key transfer targets to bring in, move out or just hold onto for the time being.

FPL Gameweek 26 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Ivan Toney (7.6, FWD, Brentford)
Toney is a relatively clear-cut transfer in right now. Coming from GW25, lots of squads will be looking to move on Eddie Nketiah or Darwin Nunez thus making this the number 1 ‘Buy’ suggestion for me. Toney has 14 goals, 3 assists from 21 games this season and is the third highest scoring Forward in FPL only behind Haaland and Kane.
With an xG of 0.44 and xA of 0.22 per game over his last 10 including 13 shots and 2 key passes, Toney is Brentford’s talisman. He’s on penalties. He comes up against a Palhinha-less Fulham side this week and has a DGW in GWs 27 and 29 while also having a fixture in reduced Blank GW28. A perfect storm. However.
Toney’s opponents after Fulham in GW26- Everton(A), Southampton(A), Leicester(H). These 3 teams are ranked 20th, 15th, 19th for Goals conceded in the Premier League since World Cup break.
Toney has been charged by the FA and has an impending ban to come in before the end of the season and unfortunately FPL managers are in the dark about when that might be plus Toney is on 8 yellow cards meaning 2 more yellow cards result in a 2 match suspension thus potentially putting him in a position where he could pick up a yellow in the first of 2 games in a DGW and subsequently miss the other.
Nonetheless, we play the cards in front of us and as things stand, Toney is one of the best options in the immediate short term with 6 games in the next 4 GWs including being the top captaincy candidate in DGW27. Don’t overthink it, bring him in.

Solly March (5.1, MID, Brighton Hove Albion)
Lots of options were in with a good shot at being the second ‘Buy’ suggestion this week including a personal favourite, Mitoma, all-fart-no-poo(so far) Mac Allister and even David Raya however March stood out as the pick of the bunch for me.
Brighton have been terrific in attack under De Zerbi and no player has exemplified this front-foot shift more so than Solly March. He has accumulated a remarkable 0.41 xG and 0.66 xA per game over his last 4! He’s getting shots in from threatening positions, shooting at a good volume with 13 shots in his last 4 and also creating at an elite rate. Brighton have a decent fixture against West Ham this week followed by double GWs in GW27 and 29, either side of a blank in GW28. Both doubles look promising from an attacking point of view and March is a transfer all managers should prioritise either this week or the next.
Key Stat-
Since GW20, March has created the most Big chances(7) in the league- Better than the likes of KDB, Fernandes, TAA. Even Teams like Brentford, Aston Villa, Fulham, Palace, etc have created less Big chances than March during the same period.
March missed the midweek FA cup game to an injury. Watch out for the latest injury news on him- FPL GW26 Predicted Lineups, Injury/Press Conference Updates before locking him in your teams.
We did compare March, Mitoma and Mac Allister in our GW26 Preview stream. Check it out. Stream will play directly from the comparison part.
FPL Gameweek 26 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Martin Odegaard (7.0, MID, Arsenal)
Odegaard has 76k transfers out at the time of writing despite a double-digit haul in GW25. A strong reason for this is the vast number of midfielders in the game that are sought after and him being outscored by Martinelli every week subsequent to when most managers made the move from the Brazilian to him.
However, despite the lure of double gameweeks for Brighton MIDs and Rashford and Saka’s form making them basically untouchable in our squads, I’d advice patience with Odegaard. Arsenal are still the best team in the league and their subsequent fixtures all look great from an attacking point of view. Between now and GW28, Odegaard might well outscore options with more fixtures too given his quality, Arsenals attack and his tendency to pick up bonus when he makes a goal contribution. I’d find another route to the DGW mids and keep Odegaard on.

Kieran Tripper (6.0, DEF, Newcastle United)
If you’ve held onto Trippier till this point, there’s really no reason to sell him now. He might have Manchester City as his first fixture in the week that lots of squads are looking to wildcard but subsequently, his fixture run gets good including a fixture in blank GW28 and a double GW29. There’s also another likely DGW for Newcastle coming up possibly as early as GW31. Trippier has maintained his remarkable chance creation numbers, Newcastle’s defense has slipped a bit off late but remains relatively good and he attracts bonus points at a very high rate due to those chance creation numbers.
Even if you need to raise money for certain targets and find that getting a 1.5m saving moving to another Newcastle defender could be a way to do it, I’d suggest you look elsewhere as Trippier has been and will likely continue to be one of the best assets in the game.

FPL Gameweek 26 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Eddie Nketiah (6.8, FWD, Arsenal)
Plagued by an injury niggle that Arteta failed to disclose before DGW25, Nketiah is now at a high risk of losing his starting spot with Trossard’s good work as CF and the imminent return of Gabriel Jesus to match fitness in a few weeks. An easy sell, especially with FWD options like Toney and Watkins coming into a great run of fixtures.
Nketiah limped off post match(GW25) and Arteta confirmed the same also confirmed the same- “Hopefully, he is fine, he ended the game well but he has been carrying a little thing.”

Riyad Mahrez (7.8, MID, Manchester City)
Mahrez had a great run post the World Cup and was great value for managers who took a risk on him early on but the Algerian winger has been the victim of some rotation off late with Champions League football back and simultaneously is looking at the prospect of a resurgent Phil Foden.
With an embarrassment of riches to choose from in attack, City’s attack is a bit of a minefield aside from Erling Haaland. If Mahrez plays, he always has the talent to go big but the risk is now higher than we’d want on that ‘if’. The gains were good but it’s time to move away from Mahrez.
