GW19 brought a lot of frustration to FPL managers as all popular captaincy options failed. One of whom- Mitrovic went from a potential 9-pointer to a 5-pointer and a suspension within 90 minutes. Gameweek 20 presents another opportunity for managers to take advantage of a double Gameweek. We are here to give you some exciting options that could give you a rank rise in what could potentially be a season-defining week. This blog will provide you with our Top 6 FPL GW20 Differential Picks with <10% ownership with stats, justification, and detailed analysis.

FPL Gameweek 20 Differential Picks(<10% TSB)
Sven Botman vs Fulham(H), £4.4, TSB:4.6%
Sven Botman is the sixth-highest-scoring defender in FPL this season. The Newcastle man has 73 points, with one attacking return and 4 bonus points. He is the cheapest defender in the top points scorer. The CB is also the fifth best in the league for BPS per 90 among defenders.
Newcastle go into a period where they have a kind run of games. Although Fulham seems like a difficult proposition, we have to keep in mind this is a Newcastle side that has conceded a mere 1 goal in the last 6 matches. The Magpies became the first team to prevent Arsenal from scoring and winning at the Emirates.
Meanwhile, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth have the fifth, sixth, and seventh worst records for goals scored in the league. Furthermore, Newcastle’s game in hand is also against West Ham, a fixture that could be played in the coming weeks.
Botman offers a cheap route into the best defense in the league. Eddie Howe’s men have given away just 11 goals 18 matches, just 2 in the last 9 outings. Doubling up on their defense makes absolute sense. He can also be an enabler. Above all, Newcastle are yet to lose with his presence in the starting eleven in the league.
Quick Tip
If you are looking for a replacement for Cancelo and also in need of funds to bring in someone like a Kane, then doing Cancelo to Botman is the best way to create funds to make that move to the Spurs man.

Rodrigo Moreno vs Aston Villa(A), £6.3, TSB: 6.9%
Here is another gem who we FPL managers have all been ignoring ever since he got injured in GW5. The Spaniard has registered 6 goals and an assist in the last 7 matches, blanking only twice in the process. The two blanks came against Man City and Newcastle.
Overall this season Rodrigo has 10 goals and 1 assist. Only Mitrovic, Toney, Kane, and Haaland have more goals than the Leeds man. He has the fifth-best xGI per 90 for midfielders this season.
Leeds’ run of games is among the best in the league. They also have two double gameweeks yet to be scheduled. One of which has the chance of being placed in Matchweek 22.
Rodrigo Moreno Stats
- 6 goals since GW13- the joint most
- Joint 7th best for shots in the box in that time
- Third best for goals per 90 in the league
- Registered 2 assists in this fixture last season

Dejan Kulusevski vs Arsenal(H), Man City(A), £7.9, TSB: 4.4%
We can’t help but think that Spurs are the most overlooked team going into this double Gameweek. That is quite understandable given their inconsistencies in front of goal. However, as we have advertised numerous times, Conte’s men are a different proposition with Kulusevski in the team.
There is a suggestion that Bentancur may also be fit for the NLD. So, the Spurs could essentially field a full-strength team against their arch-rivals. The Swedish international has 1 goal and 5 assists this season, including an assist a piece in each of his last 3 appearances ( well we still believe he should have got that assist against Brentford).
Only KDB has more assists per 90 this season than Kulusevski. The Spurs man is top among his teammates for BCC per 90, xA and assists per 90 so far this season. In fact in the entire league since he joined the Premier League, only KDB has more assists and big chances created per 90 than Kulusevski.
Spurs’ first opponent this GW Arsenal are top for % of chances conceded down the left side of the defense. As we know, that flank is exactly where Kulu operates. As for Man City, the Swedish international made his first start for Spurs in this very fixture last season. He registered a goal and an assist in a stunning 3-2 win for the North London side.
Injury update: Kulusevski was spotted training on 10th Jan ahead of the NLD on Sunday. Stay tuned for his availability from Conte’s pre-NLD press conference.

FPL Gameweek 20 Ultra Differential Picks(<1% TSB)
Evan Ferguson vs Liverpool(H), £4.5, TSB: 0.7%
This player could be the most talked about player in FPL soon since John Lundstram. With Lundstram we had a £4.0 defender playing in midfield and scoring goals. Here we have a £4.5 forward who could play up front for one of the best attacks in the league. Poor Sam Greenwood’s ownership could well drop soon! ( Ignore the joke)
The young forward came off the bench against Arsenal and made an instant impact. He scored a goal that gave the Seagulls hope in that game. He then started the game against Everton and registered a goal and an assist, picking up all 3 bonus points in the process.
The forward also started Brighton’s FA Cup tie against Middlesborough. He was subbed off in the 64th minute along with Kaoru Mitoma, a possible hint of a rest ahead of the game against Liverpool.
Ferguson has an xG of 1.05 in the last two gameweeks, the eighth-best tally in the league in that time. If we consider xG per 90 he is top in the last two weeks. With Brighton potentially having a double in the coming Gameweeks, he might be the perfect enabler for FPL managers.

Kaoru Mitoma vs Liverpool(H), £4.9, TSB: 0.8%
Kaoru Mitoma becomes the second Brighton player in our differential list. The Japanese international has been in stunning form either side of the World Cup. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 6 starts in all competitions. In the league, he has blanked only once in his five starts.
Since GW14, which is when Mitoma first started a game for the Seagulls, only Mo Salah(8) has had more big chances than the Brighton man(4) among midfielders. He is also top for xG, xPts, goals among his compatriots in this period.
Brighton have an amazing run of games. While the Liverpool game seems tough on paper, it is arguably one of the easiest games for attackers statistically. Only Fulham and Leeds have conceded more big chances than Jurgen Klopp’s men this season.
Meanwhile, the two impending games for the Seagulls are against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace. As a result of which, Mitoma is not only a cheap option, but is also a long-term option. Besides, De Zerbi’s men are one of the best-attacking teams in the league. No team has scored more goals than them in the last six matches.
